Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that Eflin (lat) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session Tuesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

After landing on the 15-day injured list April 9 due to a right lat strain, Eflin was cleared to throw off a mound for the first time this past Friday. All apparently went well during that side session, and Eflin will repeat the activity again Tuesday, though perhaps with greater intensity and with more throwing volume. If Eflin checks out fine after Tuesday's session, he could advance to facing hitters in live batting practice.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Monday that Kittredge (knee) will throw a live batting practice session Wednesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Kittredge will face hitters for the first time since he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee during spring training. The veteran reliever's rehab has some along more quickly than anticipated and he could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list before the end of May.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that Bradish (elbow) completed another bullpen session Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Bradish has been throwing side sessions for more than two weeks, and though he's checked out fine so far, the Orioles haven't determined when he might be ready to take the next step forward in his rehab program by facing hitters. The right-hander is expected to be ready to make his 2025 debut at some point in the second half of the season, assuming he hits no snags in his recovery from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last June.

The rght-hander will throw off a mound for the first time since getting a UCL revision and internal brace augmentation surgery on his right elbow last June. Wells hopes to be available to contribute to the Orioles sometime after the All-Star break.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde classified Westburg as day-to-day Monday due to a sore hamstring, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports. "We're staying optimistic and hopeful," Hyde said of Westburg's status.

Westburg is out of the lineup for Monday's series opener versus the Yankees, marking his second consecutive absence due to the hamstring issue. According to Jake Rill of MLB.com, Westburg is scheduled to undergo further testing Monday as the Orioles look to gain a better understanding regarding the extent of his injury. If the MRI reveals a strain, the 26-year-old infielder could require a stint on the injured list.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde confirmed Monday that Gibson (back) will be recalled from High-A Aberdeen to make his season debut Tuesday versus the Yankees, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Gibson has been getting ramped up with three starts in the minors after signing with the Orioles in late March. He dealt with some back tightness in his last outing at Aberdeen, but the veteran righty has bounced back well from that injury and is ready to join the Baltimore rotation. Gibson threw 78 pitches and went five innings in his last start, so he should be available for close to a full workload Tuesday.

Schneemann is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Schneemann will hit the bench after he had picked up starts -- two at second base and one in left field -- in each of the last three contests. The 28-year-old owns a .715 OPS over 49 plate appearances on the season, and while he doesn't appear to have a grasp on a full-time role, he should remain in line for a handful of starts per week against right-handed pitching due to his ability to play multiple infield and outfield spots.

Cabrera is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

Cabrera appears to be receiving a routine day off after he had started each of the last 10 games while going 10-for-36 with three extra-base hits and five walks. Oswald Peraza will replace him as the Yankees' starting third baseman and No. 9 hitter, but Cabrera's spot atop the depth chart appears secure. DJ LeMahieu (calf) is in the midst of a rehab assignment and should return from the 10-day injured list soon, but after posting a career-worst .528 OPS in 2024, it's unclear if he'll be able to unseat Cabrera as the Yankees' preferred option at the hot corner.

Rice is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

Though the Orioles are sending right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano to the hill, the left-handed-hitting Rice will hit the bench for the series opener in Baltimore, breaking a streak of five consecutive starts. Rice missed two straight starts early last week due to a left elbow contusion, but he went 3-for-19 with a home run, a double and three walks over the ensuing five games, and the Yankees haven't indicated that he's dealing with any setbacks on the health front. With Rice out of the lineup, Trent Grisham will draw a second consecutive start atop the batting order, while Aaron Judge returns to the two hole after batting third behind Rice in Sunday's 5-1 win over Toronto.

The Blue Jays transferred Burr (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Toronto replaced Burr on the 40-man roster with right-hander Casey Lawrence, whom the club claimed off waivers from Seattle on Monday. As a result of his move to the 60-day IL, Burr -- who has been on the shelf all season while recovering from right shoulder inflammation -- won't be eligible to make his 2025 debut until late May. Burr recently resumed throwing off a mound, but he's likely a week or more away from heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment.
