The Guardians recalled Cantillo from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander was optioned to Columbus on Monday, but he's eligible to be recalled a day later since Paul Sewald (shoulder) was placed on the injured list. Cantillo has been an effective bullpen piece for Cleveland early this year and has a 2.35 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 20:8 K:BB across 15.1 innings.

The Guardians selected Velasquez's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Velasquez is being promoted even after he posted a 6.00 ERA and 11:16 K:BB over 15 innings covering four starts with Columbus. He appears likely to be used only in mop-up duty.

The Guardians placed Sewald on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right shoulder strain, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Sewald was forced to depart an appearance Monday against the Twins due to the injury and it will cost him at least the next couple weeks of action. The veteran reliever had been roughed up for five runs over 3.2 innings covering his last five outings.

Jones is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Even with right-hander Chris Paddack on the mound, Jones will come off the bench Tuesday. Jhonkensy Noel is manning right field and batting sixth. Jones is slashing just .179/.295/.299 with five doubles, one home run, five RBI, five runs scored and 11:23 BB:K across 78 plate appearances this season.

The Blue Jays optioned Schultz to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

The right-hander was called up by Toronto on April 20 and struck out eight over 4.1 scoreless frames in his MLB debut that day, but he'll head back to Triple-A after giving up three runs across 2.1 innings Sunday at Yankee Stadium. Schultz is likely to get another look in the big leagues at some point this season, but for now he'll return to Buffalo.

Rocchio is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Gabriel Arias will shift over to shortstop, and Daniel Schneemann is manning second base and batting seventh against Chris Paddack. Rocchio is 1-for-17 at the plate over the last seven days.

The Blue Jays optioned Wagner to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Wagner had seen his playing time dip recently, and he will lose his roster spot upon Daulton Varsho's (shoulder) return from the injured list. With Wagner out of the way, Ernie Clement should have a stronger grip on the third-base job.

The Blue Jays activated Varsho (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Varsho is ready to make his season debut after recovering from last September's right shoulder surgery. He went just 3-for-25 with a 7:0 K:BB in seven rehab contests and has slashed only .217/.289/.398 in two seasons with the Blue Jays, so fantasy manager should keep offensive expectations modest for Varsho. However, the 28-year-old's elite glove in center field will keep him in the lineup on a regular basis.

Margot (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The 30-year-old outfielder hasn't played since April 7 and remains on the 10-day injured list with a patellar tendon strain in his left knee. Prior to his injury, Margot slashed .316/.300/.316 with zero extra-base hits and three RBI across 20 plate appearances.

Jeffers is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians.

Manager Rocco Baldelli said over the weekend that Jeffers would operate as more of an everyday catcher going forward, but Christian Vazquez is behind the plate for this one, catching Chris Paddack. Edouard Julien is batting leadoff as the designated hitter. Jeffers has a .991 OPS and five RBI over the last seven days but is 0-for-5 with three strikeouts lifetime against Guardians starter Tanner Bibee.
