Lopez (2-2) took the loss against the Guardians on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out six over 6.1 innings. He did not issue a walk.

Lopez was dominant through the first six innings of Wednesday's contest, retiring 14 straight batters in the process. He was lifted in the seventh frame after giving up the first run of the game on a throwing error, and Lopez was tagged with a second run after Bo Naylor belted a three-run homer off Brock Stewart. Despite taking the loss, Lopez recorded his second quality start of the season and sports a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 26:4 K:BB across 28 innings. His next start is slated for next week at home against Baltimore.

Anderson did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out five.

While Anderson had to settle for a no-decision, it's the third consecutive quality start for the left-hander, who's yet to allow more than three runs in an outing this season. Anderson's ERA sits at 2.67 on the year with a 1.04 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB across six starts (33.2 innings). He's currently lined up to face the Blue Jays at home in his next start.

Hancock did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Angels, allowing three runs on nine hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

It's the second straight quality start for Hancock, who's pitched to a 3.71 ERA in three outings (17 innings) since rejoining the Mariners after allowing six runs in just two-thirds of an inning during his first start this year. Hancock will look to continue the upward trend in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for next week against the A's.

Keith went 1-for-2 with a walk, a two-run home run and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 7-4 victory over the Astros.

Keith has seen his playing time dip recently, as this was just his fourth start over Detroit's last eight contests, though he did start all three games of the series against Houston. The second-inning home run was the first of the season for the 23-year-old, who is still batting just .181. Keith may have to get on a hot streak soon to hold onto anything close to an everyday role.

Baez went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 7-4 win against the Astros.

The 32-year-old capped the scoring for Detroit with a third-inning grand slam to extend the lead to 7-1, and those insurance runs proved pivotal since Houston rallied for three runs between the fifth and seventh frames. Baez has seen most of his action lately in center field and now has seven starts at the position since making his first start there April 21, and he's taken advantage of the consistent playing time with four doubles, a homer, seven RBI and a .360 average during that span.

Hanifee (2-0) tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win in Wednesday's 7-4 victory over the Astros. He allowed two hits and a walk while striking out three.

Detroit starter Jackson Jobe only managed to cover four innings, which opened the door for Hanifee to earn his second win out of the bullpen this season. The righty has been stellar for the Tigers, allowing just two earned runs across 16.1 innings while notching 12 strikeouts. After posting a 1.84 ERA during the regular season last year, Hanifee has carved out a role as a reliable reliever in Detroit.

Pena went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Tigers.

It was the fourth straight game batting in the leadoff spot for Pena, and he's excelled in the role by going 8-for-17 with two doubles, a homer, four RBI and three runs. The shortstop has hit safely in 19 of his past 20 games and seems likely to stick atop the lineup for the near future given his current form.

Trout was removed from Wednesday's game against the Mariners due to left knee soreness, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Manager Ron Washington said after the game that Trout's removal was precautionary, which suggests that the star outfielder's injury isn't too serious. Trout himself added that his knee began to feel better after he left the game, per Fletcher, and he'll try to return to action Thursday.

Kahnle earned the save Wednesday against the Astros after giving up a walk and no hits across 1.1 scoreless innings. He struck out two.

Kahnle recorded the final out of the eighth inning and returned for the ninth, when he retired the side in order. It's the first save since April 18 for the right-hander, while Will Vest went 3-for-4 in save chances during that 11-day stretch. Vest appears to be the current favorite at closer given the recent usage, but Kahnle remains in the mix and has gone 5-for-6 in save opportunities with a 0.77 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB across 11.2 innings this year.

Amaya is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Amaya will take a seat for the fourth time in six games and may have moved into a part-time role. Though he's the best defensive shortstop on the White Sox roster, Amaya has been an easy out at the plate, slashing .078/.107/.098 over 57 plate appearances on the season.
