Manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Chisholm was diagnosed with a high-grade strain of his right oblique and is expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

The 27-year-old Chisholm sustained the injury Tuesday against the Orioles and landed on the 10-day injured list earlier Friday. Significant oblique injuries often have multi-month recovery timelines, so a return in four weeks seems optimistic for a high-grade strain. Jorbit Vivas is making his MLB debut at second base Friday versus the Rays and is expected to get regular playing time while Chisholm is out, at least initially.

Lowe is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.

With left-hander Max Fried on the mound for the Yankees, Lowe will take a seat. Curtis Mead is getting the start at second base and batting eighth. Lowe is hitting .209/.248/.318 with four home runs, 15 RBI, nine runs scored and a 6:31 BB:K across 117 plate appearances to begin the season.

Campbell (ribs) remains out of the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Twins.

Campbell was scratched from Thursday's lineup with sore ribs and will miss a second straight start. It's unclear whether he will be available off the bench. David Hamilton will play second base in Campbell's stead.

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays.

Dominguez is batting .171 (6-for-41) with 19 strikeouts across his past 11 games and will sit Friday for the second time in the Yankees' last three contests. Cody Bellinger will again shift to left field while Trent Grisham starts in center.

The Red Sox optioned Sabol to Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

With Connor Wong (finger) back from the IL, Sabol will head back to the minors to serve as organizational depth. Sabol slashed .125/.167/.188 with one double, one RBI and a pair of runs scored across 18 plate appearances with the big club.

The Red Sox activated Wong (finger) from the 10-day injured list Friday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

In a corresponding move, Boston optioned Blake Sabol to Triple-A Worcester. Wong suffered a broken finger back on April 7 but is ready to return ahead of Friday night's game against the Twins. Wong was hitting .087/.192/.087 with zero extra-base hits and zero RBI across 26 plate appearances prior to his injury.

The Guardians selected Festa's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Friday.

The Guardians acquired Festa via trade earlier this week and have now added him to their big-league bullpen. Festa has been dominant at the Triple-A level this season, tossing 14.2 scoreless innings with a 20:7 K:BB.

The Astros reinstated Abreu from the paternity list Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The 28-year-old Abreu spent 48 hours away from the team but is back to assume his role as the team's top setup man. Through 13 innings of work this season, Abreu has a 2.08 ERA and an 18:8 K:BB.

Jones is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays.

Jones appears to be losing his spot as the Guardians' preferred option against right-handed pitching. Jhonkensy Noel is once again making the start in right field for a second straight day against a right-handed starter. Across 83 plate appearances this season, Jones sports an ugly .169/.289/.282 slash line with one home run and five RBI.

Butler is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Marlins.

It appears to be a routine day off for Butler, who is slashing .244/.316/.415 with five home runs, 11 RBI, 18 runs scored and five stolen bases across 136 plate appearances to begin the 2025 campaign. With Butler sitting, Seth Brown is getting the start in right field and batting sixth, while Jacob Wilson moves up to the leadoff spot.
