Lorenzen didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Red Sox after pitching seven shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out seven batters. He did not issue a walk.

Getting through seven scoreless frames on just 90 pitches feels like too good of a performance not to be rewarded with a win, but that's what happens when your offense doesn't put any runs on the board until the 11th inning. The 33-year-old entered the game with a 4.23 ERA and 1.41 WHIP, but those numbers have dropped to 3.57 and 1.26, respectively, following his longest outing of the season. He'll look to keep his momentum going and collect his first win of May next week in Houston.

Manzardo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-0 win over the Phillies.

The 24-year-old slugger opened the scoring in the fourth inning by driving an Aaron Nola fastball 411 feet to straightaway center field. Manzardo is emerging as a desperately needed power source for Cleveland, and through 33 games he's slashing .221/.326/.504 with nine homers, 16 runs and 22 RBI.

Williams (3-2) picked up the win Friday, allowing four hits and four walks over five scoreless innings in a 6-0 victory over the Phillies. He struck out eight.

The right-hander once again struggled with his control and his efficiency, tossing only 53 of 98 pitches for strikes before exiting, but 31 called or swinging strikes helped make sure Philly couldn't capitalize on their baserunners. Williams has struck out at least eight batters in three of his last four trips to the mound, but he's also issued multiple free passes in seven straight outings. He'll carry a 4.38 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 45:23 K:BB through 37 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Brewers.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Brewers.

He drove a Jose Quintana sinker deep to right field in the fourth inning -- Lowe's first homer, and only his third hit, off a southpaw this season. It's an encouraging sign for the second baseman, who has had trouble getting much loft on the ball in the early going and sports a career-low 33.7 percent flyball rate so far in 2025. He also carries a career-worst 6.4 percent walk rate, leading to a rough .200/.250/.323 slash line with five homers, one steal, 13 runs and 18 RBI through 34 games.

Haggerty started in center field and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 2-1 loss to Detroit.

Haggerty was called up earlier in the day and found himself starting against a left-hander. The lefty-hitting Evan Carter started the previous three games -- all against righties -- but was held out against a southpaw, which historically have given Carter problems.

Orze gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his second save of the season in Friday's 4-3 win over the Brewers.

Pete Fairbanks and most of the other high-leverage arms in the Tampa Bay bullpen had worked Wednesday and Thursday, forcing manager Kevin Cash to get creative in the late innings. Orze's other save this season came in the 11th inning against Arizona on April 23, and while he's gotten the job done when called upon, the 27-year-old righty doesn't seem likely to move up in the Rays' bullpen hierarchy. Orze's 0.68 ERA through 13.1 innings isn't supported by his 1.35 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB.

Smith started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Tigers.

Smith made a second straight start at shortstop, as Corey Seager rested his hamstring Thursday and Friday, per Steve Kornacki of MLB.com. Smith has hit safely in five consecutive games, going 10-for-21 with a triple, two RBI and three runs scored.

Littell came away with a no-decision in Friday's 4-3 win over the Brewers, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander needed 90 pitches (65 strikes) to record his fourth quality start in his last five trips to the mound. After a bumpy beginning to the campaign, Littell has found a groove, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB in 30 innings over that five-start stretch. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Toronto.

Seager was not in Friday's lineup to rest his injured right hamstring, Steve Kornacki of MLB.com reports.

Seager was held out of games Thursday and Friday without a reason given. It's unclear if Seager aggravated his previous hamstring injury, or if the Rangers are being extra cautious with the shortstop, who was activated off the injured list a week ago. Josh Smith filled in at shortstop while Seager rested his hamstring.

Martinez went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, two RBI and an additional run scored in Friday's 6-0 win over Philadelphia.

Martinez rapped a two-run home run in the fifth and then scored another run after a seventh-inning double. It was his first homer. The two extra-base hits were out of the norm of Martinez, who entered Friday with a .288 slugging percentage over his previous 20 games. He maintains a .325 average -- fueled by some luck -- but hasn't hit for much pop (.121 ISO).
