Lee (1-0) tossed two scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts to earn the win in Wednesday's 5-1 victory over the Cardinals.

Lee followed Brant Hurter, who tossed three innings as the opener, and kept St. Louis off the board in the fourth and fifth. The effort earned Lee his first career win in his ninth appearance at the MLB level, all of which have come this season. The righty has pitched well when given an opportunity, as he's now sitting with a 0.82 ERA and 11 strikeouts across 11 innings of work.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that Crawford (knee) is scheduled for a three-inning live batting practice session Thursday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Crawford's recovery from right patellar tendinopathy has come along slowly but surely, and it's possible he's finally cleared for a rehab assignment if Thursday's session goes well. The Red Sox have offered mid-June as a rough timetable for Crawford's return.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that Houck (elbow) will begin a throwing program Friday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Houck landed on the 15-day injured list one week ago with a right flexor pronator strain but is nearly ready to ramp things up following a brief shutdown period. The Red Sox could choose to build up the right-hander slowly, especially given his struggles (8.04 ERA) prior to the injury.

Diaz went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Astros.

Diaz gave the Rays some breathing room in the eighth inning with a 435-foot, three-run blast off Forrest Whitley that extended Tampa's lead to 8-4. The 33-year-old Diaz has gone 9-for-25 (.360) during his current six-game hitting streak. He's boosted his slash line to .254/.303/.416 with seven homers, 27 RBI, 18 runs scored and three stolen bases across 201 plate appearances this year.

Torkelson went 2-for-2 with two walks, a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.

Torkelson continued his strong recent play, as he's now slashing .283/.381/.491 with two home runs and 12 RBI over his last 15 games. The two free passes are encouraging as well, and the 25-year-old's walk rate is now slightly above 13 percent, up from 8.8 percent during the 2024 regular season. Torkelson being more patient at the plate bodes well for him maintaining his high level of production.

Greene went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.

A day after driving in four runs, Greene crossed the plate three times on his own Wednesday to set a season high in runs scored. The 24-year-old has been quite productive early in 2025 with 12 home runs, 30 runs scored and 34 RBI to go along with an .875 OPS across 48 games. Both the runs and RBI are second on the team to Spencer Torkelson.

Brown (6-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Rays, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out four.

Brown hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start this year prior to Wednesday's outing. The Rays would score two runs on three hits in the first inning before Brown, who had only allowed two homers in his first nine starts, gave up a solo shot to Curtis Mead in the fourth, followed by back-to-back homers off the bats of Josh Lowe and Brandon Lowe in the fifth. Despite the hiccup, the 26-year-old Brown still boasts an impressive 2.04 ERA with a 0.91 WHIP and 71:16 K:BB through 61.2 innings this season. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for next week at home against the A's.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that Gonzalez (quadricep) has suffered a setback and will not be activated from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Thursday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Cora didn't elaborate on how significant Gonzalez's setback was, aside from noting that the 28-year-old's left quad is still bothering him when he runs. The Red Sox have been using a combination of Nick Sogard and Abraham Toro at first base since Gonzalez was injured and will continue with that arrangement for now. Kristian Campbell has been taking pregame reps at first base and could eventually become an option at the position.

Bradley (4-3) earned the win Wednesday over the Astros, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out seven.

Bradley got off to a shaky start Wednesday -- the right-hander hit Jeremy Pena with a pitch to lead off the game before giving up a two-run homer to Isaac Paredes. However, Bradley would bounce back and blank Houston over his final five innings, allowing just three additional hits, en route to his fourth win and sixth quality start this year. The 24-year-old Bradley now sports a 4.61 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP and 48:24 K:BB across 10 starts (56.2 innings) this season. He currently lines up for a home matchup with the Twins in his next outing.

Paredes went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three total RBI in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Rays.

Paredes opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-run homer off Taj Bradley before adding a solo shot off Edwin Uceta in the eighth. It's the first multi-homer game of the year for Paredes, who now has six long balls in his last nine contests. Paredes has boosted his slash line to .270/.378/.483 through 209 plate appearances this season with 10 homers, 28 RBI and 25 runs scored.
