The Royals optioned Biggio to Triple-A Omaha following Sunday's 2-1 win over the Twins, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Biggio appeared as a pinch hitter in the contest, striking out in place of Mark Canha in the top of the ninth inning. The 30-year-old has struggled to a .174 average with one home run, four RBI, nine runs scored and a stolen base over 83 plate appearances in 37 games with Kansas City this season. Since he's accrued more than five seasons of service time, Biggio will now have the chance to either accept his option to Triple-A or elect free agency.

Trout (knee) is expected to resume running the bases at some point during the Angels' three-game series versus the Yankees that begins Monday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Since being placed on the injured list May 2 due to a bone bruise in his left knee, Trout has been able to hit off a pitching machine, play catch and take part in agility drills, but being able to run the bases without discomfort is considered the final step in the recovery process before he's ready for game action. The Angels will likely want to see Trout run the bases more than once before activating him from the injured list, so he shouldn't be expected to return to the big-league lineup until next weekend's series versus the Athletics at the soonest. Before he was shut down earlier this month, Trout was hitting a career-worst .179 with a 29.8 percent strikeout rate but slugged nine home runs and stole two bases in 29 games on the season.

Henderson went 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-1 win over Boston.

It was Henderson's first time drawing multiple walks since April 19, and he's now posted at least one hit in seven of his last nine outings. Over 89 at-bats in the month of May, the All-Star shortstop is batting a strong .303 with four home runs, four doubles, nine RBI, 15 runs scored and three stolen bases. Although the lefty-hitting Henderson has a weak .422 OPS versus left-handed pitching this season, he's crushed righties to the tune of a .981 OPS so far.

Ober did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Royals, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

Ober took a 1-0 lead into the seventh inning but was lifted at 89 pitches after surrendering a game-tying double with two outs. In 10 starts since a rough eight-run season debut, the 29-year-old has delivered six quality starts while yielding just one earned run eight times. On the season, he owns a 3.41 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 46:13 K:BB across 58 innings and lines up for a road matchup with the Mariners next weekend.

Bubic did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Twins, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with nine strikeouts over seven innings.

Bubic allowed a run in the first inning but rebounded with six scoreless frames, matching a season high with nine punchouts. The southpaw has been outstanding in May, posting four quality starts in five outings while yielding just two runs over 32.1 innings. He'll carry a stellar 1.45 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 70:20 K:BB across 68.1 innings into a home matchup with the Tigers next weekend.

Lowe went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a second run scored in Sunday's 13-0 win over the Blue Jays.

Lowe got Tampa's offense started in Sunday's rout, launching a 407-foot blast off Chris Bassitt, his 10th homer of the year and third in his last four games. Lowe's been hot at the plate, recording at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 contests -- he's 17-for-44 (.386) in that span. His slash line is up to .238/.291/.425 with 29 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases across 196 plate appearances this season.

Vargas went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.

Vargas put the White Sox on the board with a solo homer in the fourth inning and then doubled and scored in the sixth. The 25-year-old has been swinging a hot bat lately, tallying five multi-hit efforts over his last 10 games while racking up nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and six runs scored. On the season, he's slashing .239/.316/.418 with seven home runs, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored and one steal across 206 plate appearances.

Bassitt (4-3) took the loss Sunday against the Rays, allowing five runs on nine hits and two walks across four innings. He struck out two.

Bassitt got off to a rocky start, surrendering a two-run homer to Brandon Lowe in the first inning. He managed to hold the Rays off the board in his next three frames, though he departed in the fifth after allowing back-to-back hits to lead off the frame, and both runners came around to score. The 36-year-old Bassitt had allowed just one run over 11.2 innings in his previous two outings. His ERA now sits at 3.38 with a 1.32 WHIP and 63:13 K:BB across 11 starts (61.1 innings) this year. Bassitt will look to rebound in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home against the A's.

Burger went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-4 win over the White Sox.

Burger opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the second inning and then doubled and scored in the ninth. Since rejoining the Rangers on May 1, the 29-year-old has gone 14-for-48 with eight extra base hits and nine RBI over 13 games. On the year, he's slashing .223/.259/.426 with seven long balls, 21 RBI, 18 runs scored and one stolen base across 158 plate appearances.

Pepiot (3-5) earned the win Sunday over the Blue Jays, allowing three hits and a walk across seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Pepiot was excellent Sunday, holding Toronto to just three singles in his first scoreless outing this season. While the win was Pepiot's first since April 26, he's now delivered four consecutive quality starts. The right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.55 with a 1.23 WHIP and 52:19 K:BB across 11 starts (63.1 innings) this year. Pepiot will look to keep the momentum going in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Houston.
