Blue Jays' Andres Gimenez: Returns from 10-day IL
The Blue Jays activated Gimenez (quad) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Gimenez wound up missing nearly a month of action with a right quad strain, but he's been cleared to return to action after going 2-for-12 in four rehab games. The 26-year-old is sporting just a .577 OPS in 36 contests with the Blue Jays in 2025.

Robert is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Tigers.
White Sox manager Will Venable said that Robert will also remain on the bench Wednesday, as he gets a two-day mental break while battling through a season-long slump, per Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Times. The 27-year-old has gone 1-for-20 over his last seven contests to drag his season batting line down to .177/.266/.286. Michael Taylor will start in center field and bat eighth Tuesday.

Red Sox's Triston Casas: Expects to be ready for Opening Day
Casas (knee) will be off crutches in two weeks and expects to be ready for Opening Day next season, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
Casas spoke to reporters Tuesday for the first time since he underwent surgery a month ago to repair the ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee. He will spend most of the summer rehabbing at Boston's spring training complex in Florida.

White Sox's Jonathan Cannon: Goes on IL with back injury
The White Sox placed Cannon on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a lower-back strain.
Cannon attempted to pitch through the injury Monday against the Tigers but didn't fare well, allowing five runs over just three innings. He'll be eligible to return June 18, but it's unclear at this point whether he will be ready to go by that date.

Orioles' Brandon Young: Beginning rehab assignment
Young (shoulder) has been sent to High-A Aberdeen to begin a rehab assignment, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Young has been sidelined for nearly a month with right shoulder discomfort but has been cleared to test things out in a game setting. He's on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Norfolk and will eventually return to that affiliate when the Orioles decide he's ready.

Tigers' Beau Brieske: Opening Tuesday's game
Brieske will start Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Brieske regularly served as an opener for Detroit last season and will receive his first start of 2025 on Tuesday. The right-hander has a 4.95 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB across 20 innings this season and isn't likely to pitcher longer than an inning or two versus Chicago.
