Gipson-Long didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

Gipson-Long made his first MLB start since 2023 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April 2024 and a hip operation last July. He worked up to 53 pitches during his rehab assignment and stretched out to 70 pitches Wednesday. Still, there was some lingering rust for Gipson-Long, and he got tagged for three runs. While it's encouraging to see Gipson-Long back in action, fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to stick around the rotation long term, as he'll likely be the first to get bumped from the rotation once Jackson Jobe (elbow) or Reese Olson (finger) returns. Gipson-Long's next start is expected to come early next week against the Orioles.

Povich didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk with five strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Povich failed to complete six innings for a fourth consecutive start. However, the left-hander bounced back from a poor outing last time out against the Cardinals and didn't allow a long ball for the second time in his past six starts. On the year, Povich owns a 5.11 ERA and a 58:21 K:BB over 56.1 innings. He is tentatively scheduled to face the Tigers next time out.

Hancock didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Baltimore, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with six strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Hancock blanked the Orioles through five innings before Adley Rutschman broke the stalemate with a solo homer in the sixth frame. Aside from a rough start May 12 against the Yankees, Hancock has been excellent lately. Outside of that game in which he gave up seven runs, Hancock owns a 2.93 ERA across 27.2 innings since the start of May. With Logan Gilbert (elbow) on the mend, Hancock's time in the Mariners' rotation could be coming to a close.

Bautista picked up the save Wednesday against Seattle, allowing one hit and one walk with no strikeouts over a scoreless ninth inning

Bautista's 11th save didn't come without a hiccup, as he allowed the game-tying run to reach second base with just one out. However, the 30-year-old retired Leody Taveras and Rowdy Tellez to escape the jam. Bautista has converted each of his last four save chances and has allowed one run in his last six innings of work.

Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Rutschman clubbed his sixth home run of the campaign, tagging Emerson Hancock for a game-tying solo shot in the sixth frame. The catcher has gone 4-for-9 in his two appearances in June, which could provide a spark for Rutschman after he stumbled out of the gates this season. Through 222 plate appearances, Rutschman is slashing .214/.306/.352.

Vest (5-0) tossed two scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts to earn the win in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the White Sox.

After Detroit starter Sawyer Gipson-Long only covered 3.2 innings, the Tigers needed a lift from their bullpen, and Vest was up to the challenge. The veteran righty has been excellent this season with a 1.80 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 32 strikeouts across 30 innings. Vest has also already matched his regular-season win total from the last two years combined and is currently leading Detroit with nine saves.

Greene went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the White Sox.

Greene paced the Detroit offense as the only player in the lineup with multiple hits. It was the young outfielder's second straight multi-hit effort and third in his last four games. After a breakout 2024, Greene is continuing to thrive in 2025 with an .842 OPS and 42 RBI through 61 contests. The RBI total is tied with Spencer Torkelson for the team lead.

Langford went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 defeat to the Rays.

It was the fourth three-hit effort of the campaign by Langford, who registered his first multi-hit game since May 17. The speedy outfielder has been mired in a bit of a slump at the dish, batting .226 (14-for-62) with three homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored over his last 16 games. Langford has stolen four bases during this cold spell, so he's finding other ways to contribute while he works through his hitting struggles.

Lopez was diagnosed Wednesday with a Grade 2 teres major strain in his right shoulder and is expected to be out for approximately 8-to-12 weeks, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Lopez reported tightness in his right shoulder during his start Tuesday against the Athletics and requested to come out of the game after throwing a few warmup pitches prior to the sixth inning. After being sent in for further testing, Lopez has now been determined to have suffered a moderate-grade strain that will keep him out for at least two months. The Twins haven't yet announced a replacement for Lopez in their starting rotation, though David Festa looks to be a leading candidate to come up from Triple-A St. Paul to fill the void.

Lowe went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the Rangers.

Lowe blasted his 12th homer of the season Wednesday, and he added to a red-hot stretch at the plate recently. Across his last 20 games, the slugging second baseman is batting .359 (28-for-78) with seven homers, six doubles, 15 RBI and 19 runs scored. Lowe has seven multi-hit efforts during this period, also tallying at least one hit in 18 of these contests.
