Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Orioles' Zach Eflin: Exits with trainer
Eflin was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rangers due to right elbow discomfort, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Eflin had allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters before one of the Orioles' trainers made the call to pull him with two outs in the fourth inning. It's unclear whether the 31-year-old righty is dealing with any structural damage, but the team should provide an update on his status in the near future.

Ryan Loutos RP | SEA
Mariners' Ryan Loutos: DFA'd by Seattle
The Mariners designated Loutos for assignment Tuesday, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
The move opens up a 40-man roster spot for Colt Emerson, who inked an eight-year, $95 million extension earlier Tuesday. Loutos failed to earn a spot on the Mariners' Opening Day roster after allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits across three innings during Cactus League action.

C.J. Kayfus 1B | CLE
Guardians' CJ Kayfus: Sitting again Tuesday
Kayfus isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.
Kayfus has yet to record his first hit of the season through 11 plate appearances, and he'll take a seat Tuesday with Shohei Ohtani on the mound for Los Angeles. Angel Martinez will fill the resulting void in left field and bat ninth.

Austin Wells C | NYY
Yankees' Austin Wells: Absent from lineup
Wells isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.
Wells went 2-for-3 with a run scored on Opening Day but has gone 0-for-10 at the plate since then. He'll get a day off to reset; meanwhile, J.C. Escarra will start at catcher and bat seventh.

Lazaro Estrada RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Lazaro Estrada: Promotion made official
The Blue Jays recalled Estrada from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.
The move has been in the works for the last 24 hours after Cody Ponce suffered a sprained right ACL in Monday's start against Colorado. Estrada will be an option to step into Ponce's spot in the rotation this upcoming weekend, but he's also likely available in relief the next couple days. Estrada appeared in two regular-season games with Toronto last season, surrendering seven runs on 10 hits and one walk across 7.1 innings of work. He struck out 10 and hit two batters.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Stepping out of lineup
Baez isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Diamondbacks.
Baez will stay put in Detroit's dugout to begin Tuesday's festivities while Kevin McGonigle gets the nod at shortstop and Colt Keith starts at the hot corner.

Cody Ponce RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Cody Ponce: Officially placed on injured list
The Blue Jays placed Ponce (knee) on the 15-day injured list Tuesday.
Ponce's absence is expected to be much longer than the minimum 15 days, as manager John Schneider said earlier Tuesday that the right-hander will miss "significant time" with a sprained right ACL that he suffered in Monday's start against the Rockies. In a corresponding move, Toronto recalled Lazaro Estrada from Triple-A. The Blue Jays will need to continue to piece their rotation together until some of their starters get healthy.

George Valera CF | CLE
Guardians' George Valera: Begins rehab assignment
Valera (calf) began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, SI.com reports.
Valera was cleared to begin playing in games toward the end of spring training, and he'll now play a few more rehab contests in the minors before coming off the IL. Once healthy, he will either serve as a reserve outfielder for the big club or be optioned to Triple-A.

Dominic Canzone LF | SEA
Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Working in platoon
Canzone is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
The 28-year-old clubbed two solo homers Opening Day but has otherwise begun the season 1-for-7 with a double. Southpaw Max Fried is taking the mound Tuesday for the Yankees, so Canzone will take a seat in favor of Rob Refsnyder as the pair operate in a platoon at designated hitter.
