Paxton Schultz RP | WAS
Blue Jays' Paxton Schultz: Back in majors
The Blue Jays recalled Schultz from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.
The right-hander was sent to Buffalo on June 8 but will rejoin Toronto on Tuesday with Bowden Francis (shoulder) headed to the injured list. Schultz has a 3.06 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB in 17.2 major-league innings across eight appearances (two starts) this year, and he could be a factor in the Blue Jays' rotation while Francis is out.

Tyler Owens RP | DET
Tigers' Tyler Owens: Heading back to minors
The Tigers optioned Owens to Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
He's clearing out to make room on the roster for waiver acquisition Carlos Hernandez. Owens had just been recalled Sunday and did not make an appearance during his most recent stint with the big club.

Andrew Benintendi DH | CHW
White Sox's Andrew Benintendi: Out versus left-hander
Benintendi is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.
The left-handed-hitting Benintendi doesn't always sit versus lefties, but he'll take a seat in this one as St. Louis sends southpaw Matthew Liberatore to the bump. Austin Slater is in left field and Mike Tauchman is at designated hitter.

Bowden Francis RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Bowden Francis: Out with shoulder issue
The Blue Jays placed Francis on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to a right shoulder impingement.
Francis' standing in Toronto's rotation was shaky given his 6.05 ERA through 14 starts, but it'll end up being an injury rather than ineffectiveness that ends up costing him a rotation spot. It's unclear how long the right-hander is expected to be sidelined, but he'll be out for at least the next couple weeks.

Luis Robert CF | NYM
White Sox's Luis Robert: Back in action Tuesday
Robert (thumb) will start in center field and bat fifth in Tuesday's game versus the Cardinals.
Robert had to be scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Rangers due to right thumb soreness. However, he had an extra day off with the White Sox being idle Monday and is ready to roll for Tuesday's series opener.

Fraser Ellard RP | CHW
White Sox's Fraser Ellard: Starting rehab assignment
Ellard (lat) was assigned to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.
The left-hander has been sidelined by a lat strain since early May and was transferred to the 60-day IL in early June. Ellard will have a couple weeks to get up to speed in the minors since he won't be eligible to be reinstated until July 3.

Jasson Dominguez RF | NYY
Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Getting turn in leadoff spot
Dominguez will start in left field and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game versus the Angels.
Dominguez was out of the lineup Monday upon Giancarlo Stanton's return from the injured list, but he's back in there Tuesday and will occupy a prime spot in the lineup. It's the first time this season batting higher than fifth.
