Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Monday that Povich (hip) will begin a rehab assignment soon, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The specific day and affiliate are not yet known, but Povich is nearly ready to pitch in a game after being placed on the 15-day injured list a week ago with left hip inflammation. Povich is eligible to be activated July 1, and he has a good chance to be ready to go by that day if his upcoming rehab appearance goes smoothly.

Solano is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Solano had started at first base in each of the last four games -- two against right-handed pitchers, two against left-handers -- and went 10-for-17 with two home runs, one double, one walk and eight RBI, but the Mariners aren't yet ready to commit to him as an everyday player. Even after that productive four-game stretch, Solano is still slashing just .257/.295/.371 in 112 plate appearances on the season. Solano should continue to play regularly against left-handed pitching, but his playing time against righties could be more sporadic while the Mariners have the left-handed-hitting Luke Raley available to play first base.

Rice is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

Rice came up big while making a pair of starts against Baltimore over the weekend, going 5-for-9 with three extra-base hits in the Yankees' series victory. Though he'll be back on the bench Monday as the Reds send southpaw Nick Lodolo to the mound, the left-handed-hitting Rice has made it increasingly difficult for manager Aaron Boone to take him out of the lineup when the Yankees face righties. In his 192 plate appearances versus righties this season, Rice has produced a robust .266/.354/.509 slash line (143 wRC+).

Grisham is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

After starting in each of the Yankees' last five games, the left-handed-hitting Grisham will head to the bench Monday while the Reds send southpaw Nick Lodolo to the bump. With Grisham out of the lineup, the Yankees will roll out an outfield of Jasson Dominguez, Cody Bellinger and Aaron Judge from left to right.

Cannon (back) has been sent to Triple-A Charlotte to begin a rehab assignment, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports.

Cannon expects to require just 1-to-2 rehab starts with Charlotte before rejoining the White Sox's rotation. The right-hander has been sidelined for the entirety of June with a lower-back strain.

Smith is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

The left-handed-hitting Smith started against Pirates lefty Bailey Falter in Sunday's 8-3 loss, but he'll head to the bench for the series opener in Baltimore while the Orioles send southpaw Trevor Rogers to the bump. Jonah Heim will replace Smith in the lineup at designated hitter.

Seager is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Baltimore.

Seager will get a rare day off while he battles through uncharacteristic struggles in June with a lowly .143/.313/.222 batting line so far this month. Ezequiel Duran will fill in at shortstop and bat eighth for the Rangers.

Carlson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Though he'll be in danger of fading into a fourth-outfielder role once Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) makes his return from the injured list, Carlson has been a fairly stable presence in the lineup in recent weeks. He'll be on the bench for the series opener versus Texas but had started in eight of the previous 11 games while slashing .367/.367/.500 with a home run and a steal during that stretch.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

The left-handed-hitting O'Hearn hasn't been used as a strict strong-side platoon player this season, but he'll take a seat for the series opener versus Texas while the Rangers send a lefty (Patrick Corbin) to the hill. Coby Mayo will enter the lineup in place of O'Hearn as the Orioles' starting first baseman.

The Rangers optioned Boushley to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

After giving up five earned runs on 10 hits and one walk while tossing four innings and 72 pitches in relief in Sunday's 8-3 loss to the Pirates, Boushley wasn't going to be available for at least the next couple of days, so the Rangers opted to move him off the active roster in exchange for a fresh arm. Texas called up right-hander Dane Dunning from Triple-A to replace Boushley.
