Abreu went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and a solo inside-the-park home run during Monday's 13-6 win over the Reds.

It was the Abreu show at Fenway Park on Monday as the outfielder set a career high with five RBI via his 15th and 16th home runs of the season. First, the 26-year-old displayed his speed in the bottom of the fifth as he flashed his way around the bases on a ball to center field that kicked away from the outfielders. Then, he crushed a dagger grand slam in the bottom of the eighth. Abreu's 45 RBI is second on the team behind just Trevor Story (46).

Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and three runs scored during Monday's 13-6 win over the Reds.

Duran hit his second home run in June, and sixth on the season, to help pad the Red Sox lead after Cincinnati cut it down to three. He might have capped the month off well, but the 28-year-old has struggled at the plate in June, slashing .206/.287/.371 with season lows across the board for a single month this season. His .723 OPS for the season remains far off of his .834 mark in last year's All-Star campaign.

Crochet (8-4) earned the win after throwing six innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out nine, during Monday's 13-6 win over the Reds.

From a run prevention standpoint, Crochet had one of his worst outings of the season, tying a season high with five runs allowed. However, he was given a 7-0 lead before he threw his first pitch, so it proved not to matter. Even if some runs got on the board, the 26-year-old continued to befuddle batters as he struck out nine Reds to make it seven starts in a row with seven or more strikeouts. The left-hander continues to be one of the best in the game retiring batters via strikeout as he's leading all of MLB with 144 on the season.

Manager Aaron Boone said Monday that Cruz (oblique) has a "high grade" strain, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

"Obviously, that will be some time," Boone added. Cruz was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday after he was injured in the weight room Sunday. Cruz is likely looking at an extended absence. The 35-year-old holds a 3.00 ERA and impressive 54:14 K:BB across 33 innings of relief this season.

Chisholm went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Monday's 5-4 loss to Toronto.

The New York infielder opened the contest's scoring with a 367-foot, two-run blast off Blue Jays starter Max Scherzer in the fourth inning. This performance wrapped an impressive month for Chisholm after he missed all of May with an oblique injury. Across 24 games in June, the 27-year-old hit .318 (28-for-88) with seven homers, 20 RBI and 15 runs scored while going 4-for-5 on steal attempts. Through 224 total plate appearances, Chisholm his slashing .244/.336/.508 with 37 RBI and 32 runs scored.

Manager John Schneider said after Monday's 5-4 win over the Yankees that Bichette (knee) is day-to-day and isn't expected to undergo any additional testing, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Bichette stepped on a baseball in pregame warmups and was scratched from the lineup after initially being penciled in as the Blue Jays' leadoff hitter for Monday's contest. Ernie Clement moved over to shortstop and hit leadoff in his absence. Bichette should have a chance to play Tuesday.

Manager John Schneider said after Monday's 5-4 win over the Yankees that Springer (undisclosed) is expected to be fine for Tuesday's game against New York, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Springer was injured on a slide into third base in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday and was promptly removed from the game in the top of the seventh, but it sounds like it was more for precautionary reasons. Springer has avoided a serious injury and isn't expected to require any further testing. The veteran outfielder is slashing .263/.360/.459 with 11 home runs, 40 RBI, 42 runs scored and nine stolen bases across 305 plate appearances this season.

Rodon did not factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays. He allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over five innings with four strikeouts.

The New York southpaw did not have his sharpest stuff in this 96-pitch outing, as he generated only seven whiffs. Rodon equaled his season low with just four four Ks, previously set June 8 at Boston. Despite his struggles, the 32-year-old managed to hold the Toronto lineup relatively in check, yielding three singles and two doubles. Rodon will carry a 2.95 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 123:37 K:BB across 106.2 total innings into his next start, which currently lines up to be at the Mets this weekend.

Scherzer yielded two runs on three hits and no walks over five innings in a no-decision Monday against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

The grizzled veteran managed to generate a solid eight whiffs in this 71-pitch outing while also notching seven or more Ks for the first time since July 25, 2024 versus the White Sox. Scherzer conceded both runs on a two-run blast to Jazz Chisholm in the fourth but otherwise looked sharp. Across 13 total frames, the 40-year-old sports a 4.85 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB. He is currently slated to make his next start at home against the Angels this weekend.

Hoffman earned the save in Monday's 5-4 victory over the Yankees, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning with one strikeout.

Hoffman worked around a two-out Jasson Dominguez single to notch his sixth June save. The Toronto closer wrapped the month with an impressive 1.80 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB across 10 frames after entering June with a dreadful 6.04 ERA in 25.1 innings. Hoffman has certainly rediscovered his All-Star form and is cemented as the Blue Jays closer.
