Double-A Montgomery placed Isaac on the 7-day injured list July 6 with an undisclosed injury.

This is Isaac's second injured list stint of the year, as he missed the first two weeks of the season with an elbow injury. He also missed almost two weeks in early May with an undisclosed injury but he didn't land on the IL that time. Isaac most recently played June 25 and it seems the elbow injury he suffered in spring training may be affecting his play as well as his availability this season. He's slashing .201/.366/.446 with nine home runs, a 29.7 percent strikeout rate and a 19.4 percent walk rate in 41 games for the Biscuits.

Single-A Charleston placed Guerrero on the 7-day injured list June 24 with an undisclosed injury.

Guerrero has not played in almost a month, and while we don't know the nature of his injury, he has missed significant time in multiple seasons due to right shoulder issues. In fact, Guerrero's 36 games played in 2025 more than doubled his career total of 35 games played across 2023 and 2024. The talented lefty slugger is slashing .230/.342/.378 with four home runs, eight steals and a 29.1 percent strikeout rate.

Bichette went 3-for-3 with a walk and a double in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

The shortstop did everything he could to generate some offense for the Blue Jays while batting second in the order, but three double plays by the ChiSox helped erase Bichette from the basepaths in a 2-1 loss. He's hit safely in six straight games, and over his last 17 contests, Bichette is slashing .309/.347/.456 with four doubles, two homers, seven runs and eight RBI.

The Orioles selected Banuelos' contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.

Banuelos will serve as a third catcher for an Orioles club that's dealing with myriad injuries at the position. The 28-year-old has gone just 5-for-48 (.104 average) at the plate this season with Norfolk.

France is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs.

The right-handed-hitting France will head to the bench for the third time in the Twins' last four matchups with right-handed pitchers, as the left-handed-hitting Kody Clemens gets the nod at first base with righty Colin Rea on the hill for the Cubs. Clemens and France could be part of a loose platoon moving forward, though neither player has been especially productive in recent weeks. Dating back to June 20, France has delivered a .563 OPS, while Clemens has posted a .640 OPS over that same timeframe.

Buxton (hand) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs.

Buxton will get at least one day off after he suffered a bruised left hand when he was struck by a pitch during Wednesday's 4-2 win. Though X-rays on Buxton's hand have ruled out any structural damage, the bruising and soreness he's dealing with could make it difficult for him to swing the bat comfortably, making it unclear if he'll be available off the bench as a pinch hitter. Harrison Bader will get the starting nod in center field in Buxton's stead Thursday.

Abreu went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 10-2 win over Colorado.

Abreu launched his 18th homer of the season in the fifth inning, extending Boston's lead to 4-0. Wednesday's game also featured the return of Masataka Yoshida, the fourth lefty-batting outfielder, and he served as the DH while Ceddanne Rafaela was given a rest day. It's unclear how manager Alex Cora plans to accommodate at-bats for all five outfielders going forward. Prior to Yoshida's return, the existing four outfielders all deserved playing time, and the DH spot made it possible.

Chisholm went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four total RBI in Wednesday's 9-6 win over the Mariners.

Both long balls came off rookie right-hander Logan Evans, and seven of Chisholm's 17 homers on the season have come in his last 12 games -- a stretch in which he's slashing .283/.365/.804 with 10 runs and 15 RBI. The 27-year-old infielder has admitted to a shoulder issue that's bothered him in the field, but it clearly isn't a problem for him at the plate, and his recent shift back to second base should help alleviate the soreness in the second half.

The Rays transferred Palacios (knee) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Thursday.

Palacios had already been on the 10-day IL since April 18, so his move to the 60-day IL won't affect his timeline for a return. The transaction removes Palacios from the Rays' 40-man roster and opens up a spot for right-hander Bryan Baker, whom Tampa Bay acquired from Baltimore on Thursday. Palacios has resumed baseball activities since being pulled off his minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on June 21, so he could be ready to resume playing in games at some point shortly after the All-Star break.

Williams struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 13th save of the season in a 9-6 win over the Mariners.

The Airbender has put a shaky start to his tenure in the Bronx firmly behind him. Williams has converted nine straight save chances since moving back into the closer picture in late May, posting a 3.14 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 17:2 K:BB over his 14.1 innings, and he's been charged with runs in only one of his last 11 appearances. Given Luke Weaver's current struggles, Williams would seem to have a firm grip on the ninth-inning role for the Yankees.
