Langeliers isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game versus Atlanta.

Langeliers will retreat to the bench Thursday after going 1-for-8 during the first two games of the series. Austin Wynns will take his place behind the plate and bat seventh in the series finale.

Wilson (hand) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta.

Wilson will sit down for a second consecutive contest Thursday after getting hit on his left hand by a pitch Tuesday. Max Muncy will pick up another start at shortstop as a result and bat sixth.

Double-A Midland placed Bolte on the 7-day injured list June 30 with an undisclosed injury.

A righty-hitting outfielder with plus-plus speed and plus raw power, Bolte is repeating Double-A after logging a 38.8 percent strikeout rate in 54 games there in 2024. Prior to his injury, he was slashing .274/.377/.423 with seven home runs, 31 steals and a 26.9 percent strikeout rate in 75 games. His contact rate at Double-A is up from 60.9 percent in 2024 to 69.3 percent this year, so while he has improved, Bolte still projects to strike out a lot at the highest level.

Houck (elbow) struck out six batters and allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over 4.1 innings during his rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Worcester.

Making the fifth start of his rehab assignment and his fourth at the Triple-A level, Houck tossed 76 pitches (47 strikes) and induced 12 swings and misses. With the All-Star break on tap and his 30-day rehab window coming to a close next week, Houck's minor-league assignment has come to an end. The right-hander accrued a 5.74 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB in 15.2 innings across his five starts in the minors, and the Red Sox will now have to decide if they want to open a spot for him in the rotation or have him work out of the bullpen. Boston could view Houck as an upgrade at the back end of the rotation over Walker Buehler, who has turned in just one quality start over his last nine outings heading into Thursday.

De La Cruz hasn't appeared in a game for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre since Sunday due to an oblique injury, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

De La Cruz remains out of the lineup Thursday for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's game against Buffalo, but he hasn't yet been placed on the 7-day injured list. Since the Yankees claimed him off waivers from Atlanta on May 1 and assigned him to Triple-A, De La Cruz has slashed .256/.333/.452 with nine home runs and six steals in 47 games.

High-A Hudson Valley reinstated Lange (shoulder) from its 60-day injured list and assigned him to Single-A Tampa on Saturday.

Lange didn't pitch at all in 2024 while recovering from a shoulder injury and remained out of commission for the first two months of this season before starting up a rehab assignment in early June. After three rehab appearances in the rookie-level Florida Complex League, Lange was advanced to Tampa on June 24. He looks like he'll stick around in the Florida State League for the time being while he continues to knock off some rust, though Lange has been sharp thus far. Over his four appearances with Tampa, Lange has struck out three while allowing no runs on three hits and two walks in 4.2 innings.

The Orioles recalled Selby from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.

Selby has given up two earned runs with a 10:1 K:BB over 5.2 innings at the major-league level this season and has collected a 2.38 ERA and 31:12 K:BB in 22.2 frames with Norfolk. He will provide the Orioles' bullpen with a fresh arm.

The Orioles optioned Banuelos to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.

Banuelos was added to the roster prior to the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Mets, but he didn't play in that contest and is now headed back to the minors. Reliever Colin Selby will absorb Banuelos' roster spot.

The Guardians optioned Noel to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

Noel came up from Triple-A on Monday with Kyle Manzardo's move to the family medical emergency list, and the former will now head back to the minors following the latter's return. After turning a few heads with his impressive power in 2024, Noel has slashed just .140/.162/.215 with two home runs through 111 plate appearances in the big leagues this year.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Thursday that Slaten (shoulder) is no longer throwing and is instead doing plyometric exercises, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Out since late May with right shoulder inflammation, Slaten played catch back on June 27, but he's backed off a throwing program since then and is focusing on rebuilding shoulder strength. Once he's throwing again, Slaten will need time to build back up, so he looks to be several weeks away from a potential return.
