The Athletics optioned Gelof to Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.

The 25-year-old didn't make his season debut until July 4 while recovering from a wrist fracture and a stress reaction in his ribs, and he's been demoted after going 2-for-25 at the plate to begin his time with the Athletics. Gelof should have a decent chance of returning to Sacramento later in the season, assuming he can get back on track at Triple-A.

Trammell will start in center field and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Rangers.

With injuries piling up in the Houston outfield, Trammell looks to have taken hold of a regular spot in the lineup. He'll pick up his sixth consecutive start Sunday after going 5-for-18 with a home run, two doubles, four RBI and three runs over his last five games. Trammell is capable of playing all three outfield spots but will likely see most of his time in center field while Jake Meyers (calf) is on the shelf.

Lee is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Lee had picked up starts in each of the last three contests, but he'll take a seat for the series finale with the Pirates. Carlos Correa (ankle) will return from a one-game absence to start at shortstop, while super-utility man Willi Castro will step in at second base as Harrison Bader enters the starting nine in left field.

Jeffers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Jeffers will get a routine breather after he had started four of the Twins' previous five contests. Christian Vazquez will handle catching duties for Minnesota in the team's final game before the All-Star break.

Rave will start in left field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Mets.

The Royals will include Rave in the lineup for a fifth straight matchup with a right-handed starting pitcher, in this case Clay Holmes. Despite the recent uptick in playing time, Rave has been unable to capitalize on the opportunity, slashing just .136/.269/.136 with no extra-base hits and one stolen base so far in July.

Loftin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Though Loftin will take a seat for the Royals' final game of the first half, he appears to have gained some stability in the lineup. He started each of the prior seven games -- three in left field, three at second base and one at third base -- while going 6-for-25 with two home runs, a double, five RBI and three runs.

Tauchman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Tauchman started against lefty Logan Allen earlier in the series, but he'll head to the bench for the first-half finale against Joey Cantillo. With Tauchman out of the lineup, Andrew Benintendi will serve as Chicago's designated hitter.

Burger (quadriceps) was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Burger was penciled in to bat seventh as the designated hitter after not starting Saturday due to left quad discomfort, but he'll instead remain on the bench for the final game before the All-Star break. Alejandro Osuna will serve as the DH versus Houston righty Hunter Brown.

The White Sox reinstated Booser (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Initially placed on the IL on June 20 due to a left shoulder strain, Booser will stick around with Charlotte after he completed a two-appearance rehab assignment with the affiliate earlier in the week. Prior to being shut down with the injury, Booser had been working in a middle relief role for Chicago, logging one win, seven holds and one save while pitching to a 5.11 ERA and 1.42 WHIP over 24.2 innings.

Hedges is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Bo Naylor will return to the lineup after Hedges had started behind the plate in three of the Guardians' last four games. Though the Guardians have turned the catcher position into more of a timeshare lately, Hedges' playing time should fall by the wayside as soon as Naylor begins to heat back up. Naylor is batting just .174 on the season, but he's gone 5-for-20 with three doubles and a 2:3 BB:K over his last seven games.
