  • Corey Julks LF | CHW

White Sox's Corey Julks: Outrighted to Triple-A

The White Sox outrighted Julks to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Having been outrighted previously, Julks has the ability to decline the assignment and become a free agent, but it's unclear what his intentions are. Julks is a career .234/.288/.337 hitter over parts of three big-league seasons.

  • White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Removed from 40-man roster

The White Sox outrighted Fletcher to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Fletcher has been outrighted previously, so he has the ability to decline the assignment and become a free agent if he wants. The outfielder has managed just a .208/.254/.282 batting line over parts of two seasons with the White Sox.

  • Blue Jays' Davis Schneider: Enters lineup in left field

Schneider will start in left field and bat eighth in Monday's ALCS Game 2 against the Mariners, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

He's sliding into the lineup in place of Anthony Santander, who had to be scratched due to lower-back tightness. It will be the first start versus a righty this postseason for Schneider, who made two starts against lefties during the ALDS versus the Yankees.

  • Blue Jays' Anthony Santander: Scratched with lower-back tightness

Santander was scratched from the lineup for Monday's ALCS Game 2 versus the Mariners due to lower-back tightness, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Santander had been slated to start in left field and bat seventh, but a back issue will ultimately prevent him from doing so. It's not clear whether he will be available off the bench. Davis Schneider will enter the lineup as the left fielder and will hit eighth.

  • Max Scherzer SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Max Scherzer: Likely on tap for Game 4 start

Scherzer threw a bullpen session Monday, tentatively lining him up to start Game 4 of the ALCS versus the Mariners on Thursday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Both Scherzer and Chris Bassitt were added to the Blue Jays' ALCS roster after neither were included on the ALDS roster. It appears it will be Scherzer getting the nod over Bassitt as the fourth member of Toronto's ALCS rotation, although manager John Schneider has not yet confirmed it. Scherzer stumbled to the finish line with a 9.00 ERA over his final six regular-season starts. However, he had a 3.60 ERA and 56:15 K:BB over 60 frames covering his first 11 starts, and the Blue Jays will place faith in the 41-year-old's extensive postseason experience.

  • Bryan Woo SP | SEA

Mariners' Bryan Woo: Tentatively in line for Game 5

Woo (pectoral) is tentatively lined up to start Game 5 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Woo was not on the Mariners' ALDS roster as he works his way back from right pectoral inflammation, but he is on the ALCS roster and had a successful live batting practice session Monday that he referred to as "a huge positive." If he recovers well from live BP, it sounds as though Woo will start on Friday in Game 5, if necessary. If that happens, he will have gone nearly a month between starts, as Woo's last appearance came Sept. 19 against the Astros.

  • Nathan Lukes RF | TOR

Blue Jays' Nathan Lukes: Back in lineup for Game 2

Lukes (knee) will start in right field and bat second Monday in Game 2 of the ALCS versus the Mariners.

Lukes had to be lifted from Game 1 on Sunday after fouling a ball off his right knee. X-rays and a CT scan came back negative, and the 31-year-old is feeling well enough to give it a go Monday as the Blue Jays look to even the series.

  • Andres Munoz RP | SEA

Mariners' Andres Munoz: Notches save in Game 1 of ALCS

Munoz pitched a perfect ninth inning on his way to a save in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS.

Munoz was called upon to protect the team's two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, throwing seven of his eight pitches for strikes while setting down the side in order. The right-hander has now pitched 6.1 scoreless innings, allowing two walks and no hits while striking out five batters and notching two saves over five appearances this postseason.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Goes deep in Game 1

Springer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two strikeouts in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Mariners in Game 1 of the ALCS.

Springer took Bryce Miller deep on the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning, giving the Blue Jays an early 1-0 lead and accounting for the only offense in the game for Toronto. The outfielder has now gone 4-for-21 with two home runs, three RBI and five runs scored over five games during the postseason.

  • Kevin Gausman SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: Picks up tough-luck loss in Game 1

Gausman was tagged with a loss after he pitched 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five batters in Sunday's 3-1 defeat to the Mariners in Game 1 of the ALCS.

Gausman was able to blank Seattle through 5.2 innings before Cal Raleigh launched a solo homer off the right-hander, ultimately knocking him off track. Gausman walked Julio Rodriguez, who was the following batter, and was then removed from the game. Rodriguez would later come around to score on a single from Jorge Polanco, accounting for the final tally on starting pitcher's line. Gausman will look to get another crack at the Mariners' lineup later in the series.
