Perez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

After starting the past two games and going 0-for-7, Perez will hit the bench and give way in right field to Zach McKinstry. Given that McKinstry has mustered a lowly .537 OPS through 37 plate appearances, Perez should still receive plenty of playing time while Parker Meadows (arm/concussion) is out of action.

Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a stolen base Saturday in an extra-inning loss to the Rays.

Bellinger has been active on the basepaths early in the season, swiping three bags in four attempts through 14 games. He tallied 13 thefts in 15 tries during the regular season last year and has a career-best mark of 20 steals, which he established in 2023 while with the Cubs. In addition to his trio of steals, Bellinger has posted a .240/.344/.360 slash line with five RBI and nine runs through 61 plate appearances.

Caballero went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Saturday's extra-inning loss to Tampa Bay.

Caballero twice rose to the occasion late in the game, rapping a double to left field in the eighth inning to produce two runs and adding a run-scoring single in the 10th. It was a much-needed outcome for the speedy utility man, as he entered Saturday having gone just 1-for-26 over his previous eight games. Caballero is dragging around a poor .408 OPS through 48 plate appearances overall, with his five stolen bases representing his lone positive fantasy output. He's likely to lose his everyday role at shortstop when Anthony Volpe (shoulder), who will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday, is ready to be activated.

Silseth allowed one run on four walks and no hits while striking out one batter over one-third of an inning against the Reds on Saturday. He also tossed three wild pitches.

Silseth entered in the bottom of the eighth inning with two outs, Ke'Bryan Hayes on second base and the Angels down 5-3. The righty reliever dug the hole much deeper, and Silseth's final line could have been even uglier had Eugenio Suarez not struck out with the bases loaded to end the frame. Overall, he threw just 10 strikes on 25 pitches. Coming into Saturday, he had posted a 1.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB over five innings spanning seven appearances, so Silseth's bout of wildness Saturday may have been an anomaly.

Mountcastle (foot) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Mountcastle exited Saturday's 6-2 win due to left foot pain and had been scheduled to undergo an MRI on Sunday. The Orioles should have a better idea of whether Mountcastle will require a stint on the injured list after the testing.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Sunday that Heineman has been contending with back spasms lately, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

The back issue explains why Heineman will be held out of the lineup for a third straight game Sunday against the Twins, paving the way for Brandon Valenzuela to make another start behind the dish. While Alejandro Kirk (thumb) is facing a long-term absence, Heineman should split time with Valenzuela more evenly once he's 100 percent.

Suter allowed two hits and struck out two batters over 3.2 scoreless innings in relief against Cincinnati on Saturday.

Rookie starter George Klassen was able to complete only two frames before exiting with a right index fingernail contusion, but Suter was able to save the Angels bullpen. The southpaw was very efficient, needing just 39 pitches (28 strikes) to get 11 outs. Suter has worked at least two innings in five of his six appearances this season, accumulating a 2.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB over 13 total frames.

The Angels optioned Klassen (finger) to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.

The right-hander exited his start against the Reds on Saturday with a right index fingernail contusion, but the fact he was optioned instead of placed on the injured list indicates the injury isn't a concern. Klassen was called up for his MLB debut last weekend and struggled over his first two big-league starts, surrendering seven earned runs with a 6:10 K:BB over 4.2 innings.

The Angels selected Sandlin's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.

The right-hander joined the Angels as a non-roster invitee in January, and he opened the season at Triple-A after missing most of spring training while completing his rehab from offseason arthroscopic surgery on his elbow. Sandlin posted a 2.20 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB across 16.1 regular-season innings with Toronto last season and should fill a low-leverage relief role for the Halos.

Wells is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

It's likely just a maintenance day for Wells, who went 1-for-11 with a solo homer while starting the previous three contests. J.C. Escarra will do the catching Sunday for righty Cam Schlittler.
