Perdomo went 0-for-2 with a walk, stolen base and run scored in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Pirates

Perdomo and Christian Walker worked a double steal in the first inning, and he raced home after a throwing error from Pittsburgh catcher Austin Hedges. It was his second straight game with a steal and fourth in 19 contests since being elevated to leadoff. He's done a much better job of getting on base in 2023 -- .378 OBP, up from .285 during his rookie 2022 season -- but that improved OBP far outpaces his .282 xwOBA.

Volpe went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss against the Cubs.

After going hitless in three straight games (0-for-11), Volpe delivered a two-run home run off Kyle Hendricks that plated Billy McKinney in the sixth inning. The long ball was his 13th of the season but also marked his third in July. Through 91 games, Volpe is slashing .216/.287/.395 with 16 stolen bases and is striking out at a 28.9 percent clip.

Bogaerts received a cortisone shot in his left wrist as planned after Sunday's game against the Mets, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

This is a planned injection for Bogaerts, who doesn't anticipate needing another such cortisone shot the rest of the year. "Looking forward to a nice second half, and I expect that out of myself," he said Sunday. It doesn't sound like this will affect Bogaerts' availability immediately after the break, but it's something to remember in case his left wrist gives him any trouble later this summer.

Crawford (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Crawford was pulled from Saturday's game with hamstring tightness and will be sidelined for the final game before the All-Star break Sunday, though manager Gabe Kapler said an appearance as a pinch hitter is possible, per Slusser. Casey Schmitt will take over at shortstop while Brett Wisely mans the keystone.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

While Oakland faced left-handed starting pitchers in four of its past five games, Diaz had started at first base or third base on four occasions, going a collective 4-for-15 during that stretch. He'll be on the bench Sunday versus right-hander Tayler Scott and looks as though he'll be relegated to a utility role for the time being, with most of Diaz's starting opportunities expected to come against southpaws.

Abrams will start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Sunday's game against the Rangers, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

After leading off against a pair of southpaw starters (Cody Bradford and Andrew Heaney) in the first two games of the series with Texas, the lefty-hitting Abrams will remain atop the lineup while the Rangers bring right-hander Dane Dunning to the bump for the finale. Abrams took well to the leadoff assignment over the previous two contests, going 3-for-11 with two runs and a pair of stolen bases. He also pilfered two bags in Thursday's game against the Reds, giving him four steals in his last three contests.

Perdomo went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning win over Pittsburgh.

Perdomo swiped his 10th base in 73 games, surpassing the nine steals he had during his rookie 2022 season in 148 games.

Adames went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Saturday's loss to the Reds.

Adames provided the bulk of Milwaukee's offense in the contest, tagging Luke Weaver for a solo homer in the first inning and a two-run shot in the third. The shortstop has found his power stroke of late, swatting four homers and driving in eight runs over his past four games. His overall slash line still sits at just .213/.294/.415, but with 16 long balls before the All-Star break, Adames has a shot at a second consecutive 30-homer campaign.

McLain went 3-for-5 with a run and two stolen bases in an 8-5 victory versus the Brewers on Saturday.

McLain notched his first MLB game with multiple steals and pushed his total to seven (on 11 attempts) on the season. The talented shortstop also finished with his fifth MLB game with at least three hits. Though he's been overshadowed by the sensational exploits of fellow rookie Elly De La Cruz, McLain has been very good in his own right, posting a .301/.368/.512 slash line, seven homers, 29 RBI, 37 runs and the seven steals over 231 plate appearances while holding down an everyday spot for the first-place Reds.

Witt went 3-for-5 with a triple, a solo home run, an additional RBI and a steal in Saturday's 10-6 loss to the Guardians.

Witt smashed his 14th home run of the season Saturday, a 431-foot shot to center off Eli Morgan in the seventh. The shortstop also added a single in the first and a triple in the fifth that plated Nicky Lopez to put him a double short of hitting for the cycle. He was unable to complete the feat, however, grounding out to the pitcher in the ninth inning. WItt possesses a rare blend of speed and power, ranking fourth in baseball in steals and fourth in homers among shortstops, making him an elite fantasy asset despite a middling .738 OPS.
