  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Trio of XBH in loss

Abrams went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, an RBI double, an additional double and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Mets in extra innings.

Abrams was 2-for-17 (.118) in his last five outings and had logged just one multi-hit game since May 18. The shortstop burst out of the slump Tuesday, and Abrams is now slashing .269/.338/.486 with nine home runs, 11 steals, 22 RBI and 37 runs this season.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Reaches three times, homers in win

Swanson went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Phillies.

Swanson hit his 12th home run of the season and first since May 23 to help lead the Cubs to a big victory. The shortstop is quickly nearing his 2024 total of 16 long balls. Swanson's career high in home runs is 27, which he recorded back in 2021 with Atlanta. He should continue to see regular playing time in the middle of a stacked Chicago lineup, giving him good fantasy upside the rest of the way.

  • Jacob Wilson SS | ATH

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Nursing tight hamstring

Wilson reported tightness in his left hamstring before Tuesday's game against the Angels, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Manager Mark Kotsay said the decision to take Wilson out of the starting lineup before Tuesday's game was precautionary, so it doesn't seem like the rookie shortstop is in danger of missing significant time. The 23-year-old has been on fire since the start of June, slashing .500/.500/.676 across 36 plate appearances.

  • Jacob Wilson SS | ATH

    Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Scratched Tuesday

Wilson was scratched from the lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Angels.

It's currently unknown why Wilson was taken out of the starting nine Tuesday, but the A's should offer some more details in the near future. In the meantime, Max Schuemann will start at shortstop and bat eighth.

  • Luis Vazquez SS | BAL

Orioles' Luis Vazquez: Selected from Triple-A

The Orioles selected Vazquez's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Vazquez has slashed .280/.345/.447 with five home runs and three stolen bases across 147 plate appearances for Norfolk in 2025. He was able to reach the majors in 2024 for the Cubs, but he was only able to etch one hit across his 14 plate appearances. In a corresponding move, Jorge Mateo was placed on the 10-day injured list.

  • Jorge Mateo SS | ATL

Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Lands on injured list

The Orioles placed Mateo on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 7, due to left elbow inflammation.

Mateo missed the last two games for Baltimore and his absence will now extend until at least June 17. In a corresponding move, the Orioles selected Luis Vazquez from Triple-A Norfolk.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

Red Sox's Trevor Story: Logs multiple hits in loss

Story went 2-for-6 with an RBI in Monday's 10-8 extra-innings loss to Tampa Bay.

Story's bat continued to show life, as he logged a third consecutive multi-hit game. His revival started in the final two games of the Yankees' series, and the shortstop has gone 7-for-15 with a home run, a double and three RBI over that stretch. His season average is up to .229, its highest point since May 20.

  • Jose Caballero 2B | NYY

Rays' Jose Caballero: Swipes two bags off bench

Caballero walked in his only plate appearance and stole two bases before scoring a run against Boston on Monday.

Caballero began the game on the bench, but he still made an impact on the outcome. The utility man entered as a defensive replacement in the seventh inning, and in the ninth he walked before stealing both second and third base and coming around to score on a sacrifice fly. Caballero has been in and out of the lineup, starting just twice over Tampa Bay's past five games. However, he's brought value with his speed, as his 23 thefts are tied for most in the majors.

  • Zachary Neto SS | LAA

Angels' Zach Neto: Keeps running Monday

Neto went 2-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Monday's 7-4 win over the Athletics.

Neto is taking advantage of his hot bat this month to make some noise on the basepaths. He has three steals on four attempts over his last four games, and he's batting .286 (10-for-35) over eight contests in June. The shortstop is up to 11 thefts on 14 attempts this season, though his running shouldn't come as a surprise after he swiped 30 bags last year. Neto has added a .272/.307/.497 slash line, 10 home runs, 26 RBI and 37 runs scored over 202 plate appearances.

  • Juan Brito SS | CLE

Guardians' Juan Brito: Nearing rehab assignment

Brito (thumb) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with the rookie-level Arizona Complex League Guardians later this week, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Brito landed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Columbus after having surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb in late April. He will eventually rejoin Columbus' roster after knocking some rust off in the ACL.
