Baez went 4-for-5 with a solo homer and three runs scored in Wednesday's 17-5 shellacking of the Mets.

He hadn't produced a multi-hit game since Sept. 2, and Baez had put up just a .217/..280/.304 line over the Cubs' last nine games -- three of which saw him excluded from the stating lineup. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old infielder has enjoyed a breakout campaign this year, setting new personal bests across the board: hits (117), doubles (22), homers (22), RBI (69), runs (69) and OPS (.806).

Urena went 1-for-4 with an RBI double, but also stuck out three times hitting from the leadoff spot in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to Baltimore.

The shortstop extended his modest hitting streak to six games, a run that includes a .400 batting average, a home run, two doubles, four RBI and three runs. On the flip side, Urena has also stuck out 12 times during that six-game stretch. Toronto is committed to getting a good look at the youngster, but his strikeout rate could force manager John Gibbons to move the prospect out of the leadoff spot, thus reducing Urena's volume and opportunities.

Owings (finger) could be ready to come off the 60-day disabled list for the Diamondbacks' series in Kansas City at the end of September, Jack Magruder of FanRagSports.com reports.

Owings is eligible to return Sept. 29, and if he's able to return at that time, it would give him an opportunity to showcase his stuff prior to the playoffs. His defensive versatility and power/speed combo on offense would be a valuable addition if Owings proves he's healthy and doesn't show significant rust. While this is a good sign for Owings' overall health, he likely won't be much use in single-season leagues even if he gets back before the end of the season.

Rojas is not in the lineup Wednesday against Philadelphia.

Rojas receives a day off after starting the past four games, racking up six hits and five RBI during those contests. Mike Aviles gets the nod in his place while batting eighth.

Swanson is batting second for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

This marks the first time that Swanson is near the top of the order since batting second against the Dodgers on July 20. With Ender Inciarte battling a minor thumb injury, Swanson will get a bigger role in the Braves' lineup for Wednesday's contest.

Gordon went 3-for-7 with a run scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Phillies.

He extended his hitting streak to 15 games, and Gordon is slashing .409/.426/.515 over that stretch with six steals and 11 runs. With Billy Hamilton (thumb) likely out for the remainder of the year, Gordon has a shot at claiming the league's stolen-base crown, as his 52 puts him six behind Hamilton with 18 games left on the Marlins' schedule.

Anderson went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Royals.

Anderson's doing his best to make fantasy owners forget about the first five months of his season, hitting a robust .405 (17-for-42) with six extra-base hits and four steals since the calendar flipped to September. His 16 home runs and 10 steals from the shortstop position signals a valuable fantasy asset. The damage has already been done in 2017, but it's encouraging to see him affirm the organization's belief that he can be a part of the rebuild process going forward.

DeJong went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 13-4 win over the Reds.

DeJong struck out in his first at-bat, but took off from there with hits in each of his next three. The highlights of his night were a second-inning RBI double and a solo homer in the sixth. While he's now churned out multiple hits in three of his past four games, DeJong had accrued only one RBI in his previous eight games before this effort.

Urena went 3-for-5 with a game-winning RBI single in the Jays' walkoff win Tuesday against Baltimore.

The young shortstop capped off a two-run bottom of the ninth to stun O's closer Zach Britton. Since being called up with expanded rosters on Sept. 1, Urena is 11-for-29 (.379) with three RBI and four runs. Owners who can stomach his high strikeout rate can potentially benefit from the Jays' newest leadoff hitter.

Lindor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run -- his third in the last four games -- and a walk in Tuesday's victory over Detroit.

Lindor's bomb made him just the third shortstop in MLB history to hit 30-plus homers in a season by age 23, MLB.com reports. During the Tribe's current 20-game winning streak, Lindor is hitting .364 with a 1.229 OPS to go alongside nine home runs and 19 RBI. Simply put, in his third MLB season, the youngster has emerged as one of the most dynamic players in the game.
