Edman went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.

Getting the start at third base and hitting leadoff, Edman did an excellent job setting the table but got no help from the rest of the St. Louis lineup -- the team managed only six hits in total, and none from the two through five hitters. The rookie is now slashing .275/.301/.513 through his first 29 big-league games.

Arcia is not in the lineup Saturday against Arizona.

Arcia owns an awful .272 OPS over his last nine games. Tyler Saladino, who owns an even worse .241 OPS in 19 games this season, starts in his place at shortstop.

Gordon went 3-for-4 with a run in a win over the Angels on Friday.

Gordon made plenty of noise out of the bottom of the order, with the three-hit night extending his hitting streak to four games and pushing his July average to .289. The veteran speedster is enjoying a below-average season overall (.271/.299/.360 line across 276 plate appearances), but Chris Haft of MLB.com reports that Gordon could be one of the natural trade candidates for the selling-minded Mariners prior to the July 31 deadline.

Wendle went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run in a loss to the White Sox on Friday.

Wendle encouragingly showed some signs of life at the plate Friday, garnering the only multi-hit effort of the night for the Rays in the process. The 29-year-old continues to intermittently provide glimpses of the hitter he's been over the preceding pair of .300 seasons, but his average still disappointingly sits just below the Mendoza Line at .197.

Correa (ribs) is expected to be activated from the 60-day injured list when first eligible July 26, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Correa began his rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock earlier this week and has gone 5-for-10 with a walk over his first three games while logging 12 total innings in the field at shortstop. He'll likely play a full game or two at Round Rock within the next several days in what would represent the final test to prove that the cracked rib that first sent him to the IL in late May is no longer a concern. The Astros already have a spot open on the 40-man roster for Correa after designating Tyler White for assignment following Friday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.

DeJong went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Friday's 12-11 win over the Reds.

His two-run shot off Robert Stephenson in the seventh inning actually proved to be the game-winning hit for the Cards. DeJong has now homered in consecutive games after going more than a month without leaving the yard, and the shortstop is slashing .254/.334/.444 on the year with 15 home runs and 44 RBI in 94 games.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Friday's 6-5 win over the Padres.

Baez continues to have another productive campaign, as he's now up to 23 home runs and 64 RBI through 95 games. While those numbers are in line with last season's stats, the 26-year-old has been noticeably less active on the basepaths, with only five steals this year compared to 21 in 2018.

Adames is not in the lineup Friday against the White Sox.

Adames had eight hits in the first five games since the All-Star break but has since gone hitless in two straight contests. Joey Wendle takes over at shortstop in his absence.

Edman went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in a win over the Pirates on Thursday.

The rookie operated out of the leadoff spot once again and provided the big blast of the contest, launching a 408-foot shot to right with the bases juiced in the sixth inning to snap a 3-3 tie. The homer was only Edman's second, but the fact he plated four runs with it pushed his July RBI total to an impressive 10 over 12 games (eight starts).

Diaz (hamstring) will play with Double-A Corpus Christi Friday and Saturday before getting Sunday off. He could return from the injured list as soon as Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Diaz began his rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, and he hasn't faced any issues to this point. Assuming Friday and Saturday go as planned, the Astros could consider activating from the shelf in time for Monday's clash with Oakland.
