DeJong went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 12-5 win over the Pirates.

He got the Cards' offensive eruption started by taking Trevor Cahill deep in the first inning. DeJong had been in a funk at the plate, going 4-for-32 (.125) over his prior nine games with zero extra-base hits, but despite a .167/.272/.367 slash line on the season the shortstop has six homers and 13 RBI through 25 contests.

Houston manager Dusty Baker plans to work Diaz into right field, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Diaz was mostly a shortstop and third baseman prior to joining the Astros, who have expanded his positional competency. He's filled in at first base, second base and left field during his time in Houston. The addition of right field to his portfolio would give Baker an option to the struggling Kyle Tucker, whose 0-for-4 effort on Saturday dropped his season average to .173.

Story went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, three additional runs scored and a walk in a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Story hit his third home run of the season off Caleb Smith in the sixth inning. He has scored seven runs over his last four games and is slashing .283/.336/.495 in 110 plate appearances this year.

Chang went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Cleveland's 7-3 loss to Chicago on Saturday.

The fourth-inning single came with the bases loaded and snapped a five-game hitless stretch for Chang. He's seeing semi-regular playing time, but until he can string together quality at-bats, it's difficult to see Chang as a viable option.

Anderson went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a strikeout as Chicago beat Cleveland 7-3 on Saturday.

Anderson took Cleveland starter Triston McKenzie deep on 1-2 fastball with the bases juiced to give Chicago all the run support it would need on the day. The blast nearly doubled Anderson's RBI total on the season to nine.

Crawford (calf) will sit Saturday against the Padres, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Crawford left Friday's series opener with a left calf contusion and will sit for at least one game. Mauricio Dubon takes over at shortstop in his absence, though the veteran may be available off the bench.

Crawford went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run in a win over the Angels on Friday.

Crawford found a way to make an impact out of the No. 8 spot in the order, extending his on-base streak to nine games. The 26-year-old has yet to leave the yard this season through 96 plate appearances, but he does have four doubles and sports a favorable 8.3 percent walk rate and 17.7 percent strikeout rate.

Crawford suffered a left calf contusion in Friday's loss to the Padres, Mark W. Sanchez of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Crawford was hit by a pitch in the top of the fifth inning, and he was replaced by Mauricio Dubon at shortstop in the bottom half of the frame. Manager Gabe Kapler said that Crawford will be evaluated Saturday, and a better idea of his status could be determined once the evaluation is complete.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-1 win over the Rangers.

Bogaerts, who recently had a seven-game hitting streak snapped and entered Friday's contest with just one hit in his last 13 at-bats, finished off back-to-back blasts in the first inning. He followed up J.D. Martinez's three-run bomb to put the Red Sox up 4-0 after one inning. It was the fourth home run of the season for the shortstop, who is slashing .330/.369/.546 over 25 games.

Bichette went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 13-5 rout of Atlanta.

He got the offensive eruption rolling with a third-inning blast off Drew Smyly, one of six Toronto homers on the night. Bichette has gone yard in back-to-back games, and he heads into May hitting ,260 with seven home runs, three steals, 15 RBI and 19 runs through 24 games.
