The White Sox activated Anderson (knee) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Anderson wound up missing three weeks of action with a sprained left knee. The star shortstop was hitting .298/.327/.404 with five steals before getting hurt and will be tasked with injecting some life into a struggling White Sox club.

Bichette went 5-for-5 with a three-run home run and a steal in Monday's 6-5 loss against the Red Sox.

Bichette blasted a homer and racked up three RBI for a second straight night en route to posting his second five-hit game of the season. After a torrid start, the shortstop had cooled off a bit, but he appears to be back on track and is currently slashing .344/.379/.522 with seven home runs and 21 RBI. Bichette also recorded his first steal of the year Monday, which hasn't been a big part of his game since going 25-for-26 during his first season as a full-time starter (2021).

Neto went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a 3-0 win against the Brewers on Sunday.

Neto started at shortstop and batted out of the leadoff spot for the second straight game. He failed to get a hit after going 4-for-7 over his previous two contests, but he was able to reach on a walk and swipe a bag in the first inning. Neto has shown good acumen on the basepaths in the minors, swiping eight bags on 10 attempts over 44 contests since joining the organization out of college.

Duran went 1-for-5 with two RBI in Sunday's 15-2 win over the Yankees.

Duran made a fourth consecutive start and hit safely in all of them. He's 6-for-16 with a home run and six RBI during the hit streak. Duran will continue to share shortstop with the lefty-hitting Josh Smith, while Corey Seager rehabs a hamstring injury, and he has stolen some at-bats from Smith against righties due to a better bat. The opportunities will dry up when Seager returns, which is not expected for at least another two weeks.

Seager (hamstring) fielded groundballs prior to games Saturday and Sunday, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Seager began baseball activities last week, initially playing catch and taking soft-toss swings. The work in the field represents a progression in those activities. Next up will be running followed by an expected rehab assignment.

Mateo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Mateo provided an insurance run when he took Chasen Shreve deep in the ninth inning. During his seven-game hitting streak, Mateo has gone 8-for-25 (.320) with three long balls and two stolen bases. The shortstop is up to six homers, 10 steals, 17 RBI, 21 runs scored and an excellent .347/.395/.667 slash line through 83 plate appearances this season.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Orioles.

Baez's season-long figures still don't look great, as he's batting .233 with a .575 OPS, but he's been better lately. Across his last 10 games, the shortstop is batting .310 with four RBI and four runs scored. He may not be able to return to the level he displayed earlier in his career with the Cubs, though Baez figures to keep trending upward after a slow start this year.

Diaz was diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain after undergoing an MRI on Sunday and could avoid a stint on the injured list, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

After Diaz was forced out of Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Reds with the hamstring issue, manager Mark Kotsay suggested the 32-year-old would require a trip to the IL, but the better-than-expected MRI results have instead prompted the Athletics to view Diaz as day-to-day. An IL stint could still be in the forecast for Diaz, but the Athletics will wait and see how he's feeling following Monday's off day before making a decision on his status one way or the other.

Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

It's the third consecutive game on the bench for the 25-year-old, as Ezequiel Duran appears to have taken hold of the starting job at shortstop with Corey Seager (hamstring) on the shelf. Smith saw most of his action in the first couple weeks of the season in left field, but Travis Jankowski and Bubba Thompson have recently been splitting time at that position.

Allen, who owns a .333 average and .934 OPS across 12 games at Triple-A Las Vegas since being optioned April 14, is a likely candidate to be recalled should Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) require a stint on the injured list, the team's official site reports.

Diaz exited Saturday's loss to the Reds with a left hamstring injury that manager Mark Kotsay labeled as likely serious enough to require an IL stint in his postgame remarks. Allen spent eight games with the Athletics to open the season and limped to an .063 average across 17 plate appearances, and he recorded 13 doubles and four home runs during his initial 100-game big-league stint last season, albeit as part of an unappealing .207/.256/.291 slash line.
