Peterson pitched 3.1 innings in a no-decision against Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing six runs on five hits and five walks while striking out five batters.

The Mets staked Peterson to a 6-0 lead through two innings, but it didn't take long for the lefty to give all those runs back. He got through three scoreless frames before completely imploding in the fourth, allowing six of the seven batters he faced in that inning to reach base, including four by walk. All six of those hitters came around to score, resulting in a season-worst run total by Peterson. The five free passes also tied a season-high mark, and the 3.1 frames were the fewest Peterson has completed in an outing this year. After giving up two or fewer runs in five consecutive starts from July 3 to Aug. 1, Peterson has now yielded 10 earned runs over 9.1 innings across his past two appearances.

Carrasco allowed six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two batters over two innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Wednesday.

Facing the team he pitched for from 2021 to 2023, Carrasco was unable to reach the third frame. The Mets got to him for three runs in each of the first two innings, with the biggest blow being a Juan Soto two-run homer. Carrasco needed 67 pitches -- only 36 of which were strikes -- to retire six batters, and he gave up four extra-base hits. After notching a quality start against the Reds in his Atlanta debut July 31, the veteran righty has surrendered 12 runs over 7.2 innings in his subsequent two outings. His season ERA now stands at 7.09 across 45.2 frames between Atlanta and the Yankees, and it's fair to wonder how much the 38-year-old has left in the tank.

Ryan (12-5) earned the win Wednesday against the Yankees, allowing one run on four hits and two walks in 6.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Ryan has been a model of consistency for the Twins in 2025, having now spun at least five innings in each of his first 24 starts of the year. The All-Star right-hander has yielded greater than two runs on just six occasions all season, and he's fanned at least five 19 times on the campaign. Ryan will tote a stellar 2.72 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 153:27 K:BB through 139 frames into his next scheduled outing, which lines up to come against the Athletics at home.

Schlittler didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Twins, allowing one run on two hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out six.

Schlittler worked at least five innings for a third straight start and for the fifth time this season among six outings. The two hits allowed established a season low for the rookie right-hander, who also conceded a season-best one run. Schlittler has a useful 3.94 ERA and 30:14 K:BB over 29.2 innings, but his 1.52 WHIP is cause for concern heading into his next scheduled start in Tampa Bay against the Rays.

Rogers did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Mariners, allowing one run on four hits and no walks with six strikeouts over seven innings.

Rogers opened with six scoreless innings before allowing a run in the seventh and was in line for the win before the Mariners rallied in the ninth. The southpaw generated 15 whiffs on 95 pitches and has now tossed seven consecutive quality starts, allowing two earned runs or fewer in 10 of 11 outings this season. He'll carry a microscopic 1.43 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 60:15 K:BB across 69.1 innings into a road matchup with the Red Sox early next week.

Gilbert did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Orioles, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

Gilbert cruised through six scoreless innings before recording just one out and allowing two runs in the seventh. Despite the late stumble, the 28-year-old generated seven whiffs on his slider and needed only 79 pitches to log his third quality start in his past five outings. He'll carry a 3.31 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 124:23 K:BB across 89.2 innings into a road matchup with the Phillies early next week.

Gausman (7-7) took the loss Wednesday against the Cubs, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk in seven innings. He struck out three.

Wednesday represented Gausman's fifth start in a row of at least six innings, and he's given up two runs or fewer on four occurrences during that stretch. The veteran right-hander is also up to nine consecutive outings of at least five frames, though he did serve up two home runs Wednesday for the second time in his last three starts. Gausman has a strong 2.96 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB over his last 48.2 innings (eight starts), and he's set for a favorable matchup in Pittsburgh against the last-place Pirates his next time out.

Horton (7-3) earned the win Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on one hit and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Horton opened his outing with five hitless frames, and he ultimately set a season best in hits allowed. The eight strikeouts also established a season high, and the rookie right-hander has now thrown at least five innings while surrendering one run or fewer in five consecutive starts. Horton has a sparkling 1.13 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB over 40 innings since the start of July, though he'll face a tough assignment at home versus the surging Brewers for his next scheduled appearance.

Williams did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 13-4 loss to the Marlins, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over three innings.

Williams allowed four runs on two homers in the first inning and exited after 75 pitches, with just three frames marking his shortest outing since April 28. The rough start snaps a streak of four consecutive quality starts for the 26-year-old, and the early hook was understandable after he threw a career-high 126 pitches in a no-hit bid last week. He owns a 3.38 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 127:67 K:BB across 128 innings and will look to rebound in a road matchup with the Diamondbacks early next week.

Buehler (7-7) took the loss Wednesday against the Astros, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks in six innings. He struck out three.

The four runs allowed were Buehler's most since his June 29 start versus the Blue Jays, although he did manage to toss at least six innings for the fourth time in his last six outings. The 31-year-old right-hander hasn't fanned more than four since striking out seven June 11 against the Rays, and he's walked multiple batters on eight occasions during that 10-start stretch. Buehler does have a palatable 3.67 ERA across 39 innings since the beginning of July, but his 1.49 WHIP and 19:18 K:BB during this period sets him up as a volatile fantasy option next week at home versus the Orioles.
