Ryan (arm) is slated to make his next start Wednesday against the Royals at Target Field, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

Ryan had initially been lined up to start Sunday versus the Athletics, but the Twins scratched him due to what manager Derek Shelton referred to as "right arm fatigue." The Twins never expressed any major concern about the issue, and the two-time All-Star looks like he'll be ready to go by the middle of the week. The upcoming start versus the Royals could be Ryan's last with the Twins, as the 30-year-old is expected to be a sought-after commodity ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline.

Montgomery (elbow) allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out three over 4.1 innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

Montgomery built up to 75 pitches in his seventh rehab start, which he's hoping will be his final outing in the minors before coming off the 60-day injured list, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. Rangers manager Skip Schumaker wouldn't commit to Montgomery making his next appearance in the majors, however, as the Rangers presumably want to assess him during a bullpen session before deciding on his next step. Montgomery -- who has been on the shelf all season while recovering from March 2025 UCL surgery -- has turned in a 4.74 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 16:2 K:BB in 19 innings over his seven starts between Round Rock and Double-A Frisco.

The Red Sox activated Suarez (groin/illness) from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

The left-hander was originally poised to come off the injured list in the middle of last week, but an illness pushed back his return. Now fully recovered from the ailment and the groin strain that originally landed him on the IL, Suarez is ready to make his first big-league appearance since July 5. In five starts prior to that injury-shortened outing, the 30-year-old had a 2.10 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB over 30 innings.

Prielipp (finger) is listed as the Twins' probable starting pitcher for Sunday's game versus the A's.

Prielipp landed on the shelf just before the All-Star break due to a blister on his left middle finger, but he's apparently been cleared to rejoin the big-league rotation after one rehab start. The left-hander initially appeared set to take the mound in Saturday's contest, but Kendry Rojas instead ended up making a spot start in place of Mike Paredes (oblique). Prielipp has a 5.00 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 71:25 K:BB across 66.2 innings this season in his first taste of the big leagues, and he could have some workload limitations Sunday since he covered just three frames in his rehab outing.

Bassitt (back) threw a bullpen session Saturday, per MLB.com.

It's a significant step forward for Bassitt, who's continuing his throwing progression as he works his way back from an extended absence with lower-back tightness. The veteran right-hander received a facet injection in mid-June and then underwent a minor procedure to have a bone spur removed shortly thereafter. Bassitt is likely to require a lengthy rehab assignment once he's cleared for game action, so his return to Baltimore's rotation is unlikely to come until sometime in mid-to-late August.

Feltner (3-5) allowed five runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out four batters over five innings in a loss to Milwaukee on Saturday.

Feltner surrendered just two extra-base hits (a double and a homer), but he recorded only one 1-2-3 inning. The right-hander had walked four batters in each of his previous two outings, so a positive takeaway is that he issued just one free pass Saturday, though that didn't prevent him from taking a third consecutive loss. Feltner looked to be turning a corner with three straight quality starts from June 22 to July 3, but he's since regressed by giving up 17 earned runs across 11.2 frames over his subsequent three appearances. He holds a poor 5.73 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 54:29 K:BB across 70.2 innings spanning 15 starts on the season.

Gasser (3-4) notched the win over Colorado on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Gasser threw an efficient 51 of 77 pitches for strikes to complete six frames for just the third time through 11 outings this season. The left-hander surrendered only one extra-base hit and didn't issue a free pass for his third consecutive appearance. Gasser has looked good in his two starts since the All-Star break, allowing three runs across 11 innings with a 9:0 K:BB. Though Kyle Harrison (elbow) is reportedly nearing a rehab assignment, Gasser could challenge Brandon Sproat or Shane Drohan to remain in the rotation if he continues to pitch well.

Yamamoto (11-6) allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings to earn the win over the Mets on Saturday.

This wasn't Yamamoto's best work, but it was good enough to get another quality start and victory. He continues to be the Dodgers' workhorse on the mound, going at least six frames in each of his last eight starts -- seven of them being quality starts with just 16 runs allowed over 56.1 innings in that span. Yamamoto has a 2.72 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 118:28 K:BB through 125.2 innings over 19 appearances this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Red Sox.

McLean (7-7) allowed four runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Dodgers.

By virtue of two of the runs being unearned, McLean was able to log his fifth straight quality start. He's allowed nine runs (four earned) with a 36:9 K:BB in that span, resulting in a 1.20 ERA over 30 innings. He's also racked up at least seven strikeouts in six of his last seven outings. McLean continues to impress -- he's now at a 3.32 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 142:43 K:BB through 119.1 innings through 21 starts this year. The 25-year-old's next outing is projected to be at home against the Marlins.

Woo (7-7) allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Saturday.

Woo surrendered all five runs over the first two innings. It's the fourth time in his last eight starts he's given up at least five runs as he continues to battle inconsistency on a week-to-week basis. The right-hander has a 4.37 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 114:24 K:BB through 115.1 innings over 20 outings this year. Woo's next start is projected to be at home versus the Twins.
