Quantrill (6-4) picked up the win Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing three hits and one walk with five strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

Quantrill has gone 11 straight innings without allowing a run and issued fewer than two walks for the first time in four starts. The 29-year-old didn't yield an extra-base hit Tuesday and didn't let a runner get past second base, qualifying for his sixth quality start in his last eight outings. While his strikeout stuff has been hit-or-miss, Quantrill owns a 6-1 record and a 1.91 ERA since the start of May. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Dodgers at Coors Field on Monday. Quantrill allowed four runs in 4.1 innings when he faced the Dodgers in Los Angeles on June 1.

Manager Bob Melvin said after Tuesday's game that Hicks has been sick for the past several days, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

While Hicks' illness didn't prevent him from starting Tuesday, it did play a factor in his removal after just 4.2 innings and caused his velocity to be down a tick. The 27-year-old righty allowed three earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five batters, and he was hit with his third loss of the year. Assuming he's able to shake off his illness, Hicks is lined up to start again on the road Monday against the Cubs.

Lynch will pitch in bulk relief behind opener Dan Altavilla on Wednesday versus the Yankees, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Lynch was lit up for eight earned runs in just four innings during his most recent start Friday against Seattle, so the Royals will use him behind an opener, reducing the amount of matchups he has against formidable sluggers Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. Still, the 27-year-old Lynch owns a 5.63 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through 16 innings on the season and isn't a recommended streaming option for Wednesday.

Rodriguez (0-1) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over 3.2 innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Blue Jays.

Rodriguez threw 43 of 71 pitches for strikes in his major-league debut, which saw the Brewers fail to give him any run support. The 22-year-old right-hander was able to show off a little bit of his strikeout upside and managed to limit walks well, but the Blue Jays were opportunistic with their swings in the low-scoring game. With Robert Gasser (elbow) facing a season-ending injury, it's possible Rodriguez remains in the rotation going forward, though that may depend on how the Brewers want to deploy Jakob Junis (shoulder) once he's cleared to return from the 60-day injured list.

Kikuchi (4-5) allowed three hits and four walks while striking out five over five shutout innings to earn the win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

Kikuchi's four walks ran up his pitch count quickly, but it was an otherwise strong performance. This was just the second time in his last 11 outings that he's walked multiple batters. The southpaw has won his last two starts and now has a 3.26 ERA on the year with a 1.23 WHIP and 76:19 K:BB through 77.1 innings over 14 starts. Kikuchi's next start is projected to be at home versus the Red Sox.

Eflin allowed two runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Cubs. He struck out three.

Eflin was solid Tuesday, holding Chicago to one run on a Christopher Morel homer through his first five innings. However, he'd ultimately depart with two outs in the sixth before the Rays' bullpen would allow an inherited runner to score. Eflin has now allowed four runs in 9.2 innings over two starts since returning from a brief stay on the injured list. Overall, he's 3-4 with a 4.06 ERA,1.15 WHIP and 50:4 K:BB across 12 starts (68.2 innings). Eflin is currently scheduled to face Atlanta on the road in his next outing.

Taillon didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Rays, allowing four hits and a walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Taillon was excellent Tuesday, delivering his second scoreless outing of the year, though the Cubs bullpen couldn't get him a win as Hector Neris coughed up four runs in the ninth in a 5-2 defeat. Still, it was a nice bounce-back effort from Taillon after he allowed five runs on 10 hits in a loss to the White Sox in his last outing. Overall, the 32-year-old right-hander is 3-2 with a 3.09 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP and 40:14 K:BB across 10 starts (55.1 innings). Taillon's currently scheduled to face the Cardinals at home in his next start.

Parker allowed four unearned runs on four hits and three walks over 4.2 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against Detroit. He stuck out one.

Parker held the Tigers scoreless through his first four innings, though he'd ultimately allow four unearned runs in the fifth following his own error. While Parker wasn't at his best Tuesday, the rookie left-hander has still yet to allow more than three earned runs in 11 starts this season. His ERA is down to 3.21 with a 1.09 WHIP and 46:15 K:BB across 61.2 innings. Parker is currently in line to face the Marlins at home in his next outing.

Maeda (abdomen) allowed one run on one hit across four innings and did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 5-4, extra-inning loss to the Nationals. He walked four and struck out five.

Maeda was dialed in other than the four walks, which matched a season high, and he managed to lower his ERA a bit to 5.89. The righty threw only two pitches in his last outing Wednesday before departing with right abdominal discomfort, but he wasn't forced to miss any turns through the rotation. The Tigers were still understandably cautious with Maeda, as he tossed just 77 pitches Tuesday. The veteran should be able to go a bit longer in his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for Sunday against the Astros on the road.

Fried (6-3) took the loss Tuesday against Baltimore, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

Three of the runs charged to Fried came on a Jorge Mateo homer in the second inning. It was a tough night for the 30-year-old left-hander -- Fried had won three consecutive starts prior to Tuesday, allowing just three earned runs over 24 innings while striking out 28 in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at 3.20 on the year with a 1.06 WHIP and 70:24 K:BB across 13 starts (78.2 innings). Fried will look to bounce back in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week at home against the Tigers.
