  • Aaron Nola SP | PHI

Phillies' Aaron Nola: Getting nod in Game 3

Nola will start Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Dodgers on Wednesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Nola will more than likely be on a short leash considering Wednesday's matchup is a must-win for the Phillies. The right-hander managed to end the regular season on a high note, last appearing Sept. 26, when he allowed only one run on two hits while fanning nine across eight innings. Ranger Suarez (thigh) will follow Nola on Wednesday, per Gelb.

  • Blake Snell SP | LAD

Dodgers' Blake Snell: Posts another sparkling outing

Snell secured the win in Monday's Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Phillies by allowing one hit and four walks while striking out nine over six scoreless innings.

Snell had his stuff working early and often during Monday's start, carrying a no-hit bid into the bottom of the fifth inning. He dealt with some traffic in the sixth after allowing a pair of walks, but the southpaw wiggled off the hook by inducing a strikeout and groundout. Snell has been nothing short of electric in two postseason appearances, surrendering two runs on five hits and five walks while striking out 18 across 13.0 frames.

  • Roki Sasaki SP | LAD

Dodgers' Roki Sasaki: Secures second save of NLDS

Sasaki recorded a one-out save in Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Phillies on Monday.

Sasaki tallied a traditional save in Saturday's Game 1, but skipper Dave Roberts called on the right-hander with two outs in the bottom of the ninth Monday with runners on first and third in a one-run game. Sasaki needed only two pitches to retire Trea Turner, inducing a grounder to second baseman Tommy Edman to record the final out of the matchup. Sasaki could very well be in position to handle closing duties moving forward after Blake Treinen was rocked for two runs on three hits while failing to record an out Monday.

  • Anderson Brito SP | HOU

Astros' Anderson Brito: Back at full strength

Brito (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list Sept. 25.

Brito landed on the 7-day IL in July due to an unspecified injury, and while he didn't see any action down the stretch of the minor-league season, the team has declared that he's returned to health by officially activating him. He appeared in 12 games for High-A Ashland in 2025, posting a 3.28 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with a 65:28 K:BB across 49.1 innings.

  • Luis Castillo SP | SEA

Mariners' Luis Castillo: Walks four in no-decision

Castillo did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Tigers in Game 2 of the American League Division Series. He allowed one hit and four walks while striking out three over 4.2 scoreless innings.

The veteran right-hander matched his single-game high this season with the four free passes -- a number he reached only once during the regular season -- but he was effective nonetheless. Castillo recorded 13 swings-and-misses on 85 pitches and hung zeros, affording his team enough time to eventually win the game and even the series at one game apiece. His dominance has waned a bit in recent years, but Castillo is still an incredibly valuable piece of the Seattle rotation.

  • Tarik Skubal SP | DET

Tigers' Tarik Skubal: Strikes out nine in no-decision

Skubal permitted two runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings in a no-decision Sunday in Seattle. He struck out nine.

Jorge Polanco proved to be Skubal's kryptonite, taking the left-hander deep with solo home runs in the fourth and sixth innings. The Mariners didn't get anything going off Skubal aside from Polanco's exploits, and the southpaw was handed a no-decision after the Tigers rallied to tie the game in the top of the eighth. Skubal has given up a total of three runs while fanning 23 batters over 14.2 frames in his two starts this postseason. He's lined up to start Game 5 of the ALDS, if the series goes the distance.

  • Cade Horton SP | CHC

Cubs' Cade Horton: Throwing off mound this week

Horton (rib) is scheduled to throw off a mound this week, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.

How Horton fares during the mound session will give the Cubs a better idea as to whether the rookie right-hander has a chance to be on the NLCS roster, should his team advance past the Brewers in the NLDS. Horton suffered a right rib fracture during his final start of the regular season Sept. 23 and hasn't pitched since.

  • Trey Yesavage SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Trey Yesavage: Electric in Game 2

Yesavage earned the win after he pitched 5.1 scoreless and hitless innings, walking a batter and striking out 11 others in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Yankees in Game 2 of the ALDS.

Yesavage was nothing short of brilliant in his first career postseason outing, preventing New York from reaching base for the final five innings of his performance. Additionally, the right-hander struck out six consecutive batters between the second and third innings, while his 11 punchouts set a new franchise postseason record for Toronto. If the Blue Jays are ultimately able to advance to the ALCS, Yesavage is likely to garner another start for the team.

  • Max Fried SP | NYY

Yankees' Max Fried: Ineffective in Game 2

Fried pitched three innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out one batter in Sunday's 13-7 loss to the Blue Jays in Game 2 of the ALDS.

Fried was able to toss a scoreless first inning before the wheels quickly fell off thereafter. The left-hander allowed two runs in the second and three in the third, and he was ultimately removed from the game after allowing the first two batters to reach in the bottom of the fourth. The outing matched Fried's shortest of the year, while the seven runs given up also matched a season high for the 29-year-old.

  • Casey Mize SP | DET

Tigers' Casey Mize: Starting Game 4, if needed

Mize will draw the start on the mound in Wednesday's Game 4 matchup with Seattle, if needed, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Mize will toe the rubber for the second time in the postseason if the Tigers' series against Seattle in the ALDS reaches a Game 4 on Wednesday. The right-hander pitched three innings, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out a batter in the team's 6-1 loss to the Guardians in Game 2 of the wild-card round. Mize will look to last longer in his next outing, whether it comes Wednesday or later down the road in the playoffs.
