Crochet allowed one run on one hit and four walks while striking out two batters over four innings in a no-decision against Minnesota on Saturday.

Crochet gave up only one hit (though it was a solo homer), but he struggled with his control, throwing just 43 of 77 pitches for strikes and issuing a season-high four walks. That likely was a major factor in the left-hander getting pulled after four frames, though it can't be glossed over that he's thrown nearly 100 more innings this season than he did in 2022 (when he missed the entire campaign) and 2023 combined. The White Sox stated in late July that they don't intend to shut down Crochet or move him to the bullpen, but he hasn't pitched more than four innings or thrown more than 77 pitches in any of his past five starts while experiencing a clear downturn in his performance. His season numbers (3.19 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 162 Ks) are still great, but Crochet's fantasy managers should anticipate a managed workload moving forward, and those in redraft leagues may want to consider getting what they can for him rather than waiting for a bounce-back.

Tyler allowed three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Saturday.

Tyler threw 40 of 73 pitches for strikes in the shaky outing, his shortest since his season debut in a relief appearance April 26. The right-hander's four walks were a season high, and he gave up a home run for the second start in a row. He's completed five innings just once this year, pitching to a 5.27 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 22:16 K:BB across 27.1 innings over seven appearances (six starts). Tyler's numbers wouldn't justify him sticking around most major-league rosters, but the Marlins have had terrible injury luck with their starters in 2024. He's tentatively projected for a home start versus the Reds in his next outing.

Blanco (9-6) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings, taking the loss versus the Rays on Saturday.

A two-run home run by Josh Lowe in the fifth inning was enough to saddle Blanco with the loss. While he's allowed exactly two runs in four of his last six starts, he has an unfortunate 1-3 record in that span. The 30-year-old continues to put together an impressive campaign with a 2.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 121:48 K:BB through 124 innings over 21 starts. His next outing is projected to be at Boston.

Ober (11-5) earned the win over the White Sox on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over seven innings.

Ober got through four scoreless frames before Chicago tied the game with runs in the fifth and sixth innings. The Twins put up a run in the top of the seventh to move the right-hander in line for the win, and he completed a scoreless bottom of the frame before giving way to the bullpen. Ober notched his third straight victory and his eighth consecutive quality start. Over the latter streak, he's posted a 1.95 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 63:11 K:BB across 55.1 innings.

Littell (5-7) allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Astros on Saturday.

Littell allowed the opening run of the game, a Jon Singleton solo home run in the first inning. The Rays were able to bounce back on offense while Littell was sharp the rest of the way to collect consecutive wins for the first time this season. The right-hander has allowed just one run on seven hits and two walks over his last 12.2 innings. For the season, he's pitched to a 4.06 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 108:23 K:BB over 119.2 innings through 22 starts. Littell is projected to make his next start at home versus the Orioles.

Herz (2-4) earned the win against the Brewers on Saturday, allowing one unearned run on two hits and one walk with six strikeouts over five innings.

Herz opened with four scoreless frames before Sal Frelick reached on an error and came around to score with two outs in the fifth. The rookie was pulled after 77 pitches and has completed six innings just once in 10 starts, but he has yielded two earned runs or fewer in four of his past five outings. On the season, he owns a 4.27 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 59:13 K:BB across 46.1 innings and lines up for a home matchup with the Giants next week.

Civale (2-8) took the loss against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts over four innings.

Civale allowed four two-out runs in the first inning and then surrendered a solo homer in the third. His velocity was down on each of his offerings, and he generated only five swinging strikes on 80 pitches. The 29-year-old hasn't recorded a win since April 9 and will bring a 5.14 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 108:37 K:BB into a home matchup with the Reds next week.

The Mets promoted Sproat from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Sproat is coming off one of the best performances of his young career, striking out 13 batters -- including the final 11 he faced -- in Friday's 7-3 loss to Double-A New Hampshire. Over 11 starts with Binghamton, Sproat produced an impressive 2.45 ERA and 0.87 WHIP with 77 punchouts over 62.1 innings. He'll now look to keep it up at the Triple-A level and put himself in consideration for a promotion to the Mets.

Suarez (back) is expected to throw a bullpen session either Sunday or Monday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Suarez is eligible to return from the 15-day injured list Wednesday and the left-hander will take the first step toward being activated when he throws his first bullpen session. There was optimism from the Phillies that Suarez would be able to return during the team's four-game series in Arizona that begins Thursday, but that now seems unlikely. The left-hander was placed on the IL with lower-back soreness last week and considering Philadelphia is five games up on Atlanta for first place in the NL East, the team will likely be cautious in its efforts to get him back.

Taillon did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Cardinals, allowing one run on six hits and no walks with four strikeouts over six innings.

Taillon allowed a solo home run in the first inning and then rattled off five straight scoreless frames. The 32-year-old was ultimately let down by his bullpen, but he responded from a rough outing Monday to secure his eighth quality start in his past 10 games. On the season, Taillon owns a 3.25 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 86:22 K:BB across 110.2 innings and lines up for a favorable matchup with the White Sox next week.
