Kilian tossed five scoreless innings but did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Reds. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four.

Kilian just made his season debut for the Cubs on Monday, allowing six runs (five earned) over 5.2 innings, but he looked much sharper Sunday in the last game of the year. The 27-year-old righty pitched well for Triple-A Iowa earlier this season, compiling a 3.22 ERA across 44.2 innings, and he could compete for a rotation spot with Chicago next spring. Kilian has a career 9.22 ERA at the MLB level, however, so his fantasy upside may be limited.

Feltner allowed two hits and two walks while striking out three over six scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Sunday.

Feltner received just one run of support, and the Rockies' bullpen couldn't hold the lead he passed along. He posted four quality starts in September and came just one out shy in his other outing on the month, ending the year on a positive note after he battled injuries in August. Feltner ends 2024 with a 4.49 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 138:52 K:BB over 162.1 innings across 30 starts, though he also had a poor 3-10 record in what was still his best major-league campaign to date.

Falter did not factor into the decision in Sunday's loss to the Yankees, allowing four earned runs on four hits and three walks in three innings. He failed to record a strikeout.

Falter's first two pitches of the contest were both laced for extra-base hits -- a double by Gleyber Torres and a two-run shot by Trent Grisham. Falter never fully recovered, allowing two more runs in the third inning before being pulled after 62 pitches. The 27-year-old started a career-high 28 games for the Pirates in 2024, finishing with a respectable 4.43 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 97:45 K:BB in 142.1 innings. Although the southpaw showed improvement from previous seasons, his paltry 6.3 K/9 (eighth percentile) made him a low-upside fantasy option.

Knack allowed a run on five hits and struck out four without walking a batter over four innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Sunday.

Knack worked behind an opener Sunday, likely in preparation for his role during the postseason. The 27-year-old was a little shaky in September, yielding 12 runs over 21 innings across five appearances, though he had a 25:6 K:BB in that span. Overall, he put together a strong rookie year with a 3.65 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 69:18 K:BB across 69 innings over 15 appearances (12 starts).

Schmidt did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over Pittsburgh, allowing four earned runs on three hits and four walks in four innings. He struck out five.

Schmidt breezed through three innings before allowing the bases to be loaded with one out in the fourth. Joshua Palacios took advantage, lacing a two-run double to tie the game at 2-2. After walking the leadoff man in the fifth, Schmidt was pulled after 75 pitches, matching his season low. Although he missed over three months due to a lat injury, the 28-year-old Schmidt enjoyed a career year, finishing with a 2.85 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 93:30 K:BB in 85.1 innings (16 starts).

Gilbert (9-12) allowed one hit and struck out seven without walking a batter over 5.2 scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday over the Athletics.

Gilbert was perfect into the sixth inning before Nick Allen hit a two-out single to end his day. Gilbert ends the regular season as the major-league leader in innings pitched with 208.2, two ahead of Kansas City's Seth Lugo. While he alternated between good and poor starts in September, Gilbert was generally one of the steadiest members of a strong Seattle rotation. He finished the campaign with a 3.23 ERA, led all major-league starters with a 0.89 WHIP and added a 220:37 K:BB over 33 starts, though he missed the 10-win mark for the first time in three years.

Spence (8-10) allowed six runs on seven hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 4.1 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Mariners.

Spence hadn't allowed more than three runs in any of his previous six starts, but he struggled late in his outing Sunday. The Mariners put up two runs in the fourth inning and another four runs in the fifth, capped off by a Cal Raleigh home run. There were some promising stretches for Spence, but the 26-year-old rookie also had some struggles, ending the year with a 4.58 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 126:44 K:BB over 151.1 innings across 35 appearances (24 starts). Spence should have a good chance of making the Athletics' rotation in 2025.

Severino will start the second game of Monday's doubleheader versus Atlanta, if necessary, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Severino will be set to pitch in the nightcap Monday if New York drops the opener. The Mets need to win one of the two contests in order to secure a spot in the Wild Card Round. Tylor Megill will start the matinee, and if New York wins, Severino will shift his focus to getting ready for the postseason.

Megill will start the first game of Monday's doubleheader with Atlanta, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.

Megill will get another turn in the rotation before the end of the regular season as New York tries to qualify for the postseason. The Mets need to win at least one of the two contests in the twin bill to clinch a spot in the Wild Card Round beginning Tuesday. Megill has compiled a 1.80 ERA and 0.95 WHIP with 22 strikeouts over 20 innings through four starts in September.

Sale will be waiting in the wings Monday to start the nightcap if Atlanta loses the opener of their doubleheader with New York. The team needs to win one of the two games to clinch a spot in the Wild Card Round on Tuesday, so if Atlanta wins the opener, Sale will shift his focus to getting ready for the postseason. Spencer Schwellenbach will toe the rubber in the first game Monday.
