Anderson didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing four hits and two walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

The soft-throwing left-hander kept the Atlanta batters off balance throughout his outing, producing 15 whiffs en route to matching a season high in punchouts. It was also Anderson's first scoreless appearance since April 18 and his first quality start since May 27. The veteran southpaw will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 77:35 K:BB over 91.2 innings into his next scheduled start against the red-hot Blue Jays, who are hitting .289 versus left-handed pitching since and including May 28.

Yamamoto (8-6) allowed a run on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven innings to earn the win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Yamamoto has taken advantage of a pair of favorable matchups, allowing a total of one run on four hits and two walks over 12 innings combined against the Rockies and White Sox. The right-hander should be gaining some confidence from these outings after a shaky stretch against tougher opponents earlier in June. Yamamoto has a 2.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 109:32 K:BB through 96.2 innings over 17 starts this season.

Smith (3-6) allowed six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six over 4.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Dodgers.

Smith was no match for the Dodgers, giving up three runs in the first inning and never really settling in that well. He's now lost three straight outings, giving up 17 runs (16 earned) over 11 innings in that span. For the season, Smith has a 3.86 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 74:35 K:BB through 79.1 innings over 16 starts, but it appears the success he found earlier in the year is drying up quickly. His next start is projected to be at Colorado this weekend.

Hancock (3-5) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out one over six innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Royals.

Hancock struggled early, allowing three runs over the first two innings. Salvador Perez added a two-run double in the fifth, which was too much for the Mariners to come back from. Hancock has lost three straight starts, allowing 16 runs over 15 innings with an 8:9 K:BB in that span. He's now at a 5.47 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 53:30 K:BB across 77.1 innings over 15 starts this season. The right-hander is tentatively projected for a favorable home matchup against the Pirates this weekend.

McClanahan (triceps) threw a full-intensity bullpen session Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

The Rays reported that the session went well, but no further details were offered. McClanahan is expected to throw at least one more bullpen session before further increasing his workload as he continues to progress toward a potential return in August.

Lorenzen allowed three runs on six hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 4.2 innings to take a no-decision versus the Mariners on Tuesday.

Lorenzen had some trouble in the fifth inning, when he allowed two of the three runs, and he ultimately wasn't allowed to finish the frame. That cost him a chance at his first win since June 8, but this was still a decent performance, which saw the right-hander avoid issuing a walk for the second start in a row. He's now at a 4.95 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 78:28 K:BB across 92.2 innings through 17 starts. Lorenzen has given up 21 runs over 30.1 innings since the start of June, so he'll be looking to turn things around. His next start is tentatively projected to be at Arizona this weekend.

Gallen (6-9) allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and struck out 10 without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win over the Giants on Tuesday.

Gallen had allowed at least four runs in eight of his previous nine starts, pitching to a 6.97 ERA in that span. He was much better Tuesday, overcoming a shaky second inning to put together one of his best starts of the season. Gallen's extended slump is still evident in his 5.45 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 98:42 K:BB through 104 innings, but he could turn things around, as those ratios are the worst of his career. The right-hander will look to build some positive momentum in his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend at home versus the Royals.

Ryan (8-4) allowed a run on five hits over seven innings Tuesday, striking out four and taking a loss against Miami. He did not issue a walk.

After yielding a solo homer to Kyle Stowers to begin the second inning, Ryan retired 13 straight Marlins and did not allow another extra-base hit during his outing. However, the Twins were shut out, leading to an unfortunate loss for Ryan. He threw 57 of 88 pitches for strikes and completed seven innings for just the second time since the start of May. Despite the loss, he dropped his ERA to 2.75 with a 108:20 K:BB across 98.1 frames this season. Ryan is slated to face the Rays at home this weekend.

Cabrera (3-2) allowed two hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings Tuesday, striking out six and earning a win over Minnesota.

Cabrera gave up one extra-base hit and let only two runners reach scoring position during his impressive outing Tuesday. It was his third scoreless outing of the year and his first time completing at least seven frames. He tossed 58 of 93 pitches for strikes and forced 14 whiffs, including six each with his changeup and slider. Cabrera owns a 3.41 ERA with a 75:30 K:BB across 71.1 frames. He's produced a stellar 2.05 ERA in 52.2 innings since the start of May. Cabrera's next outing is lined up to be at home against the Brewers this weekend.

Gausman didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 12-5 win over the Yankees, allowing two runs on six hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out three.

The veteran righty gave up two runs in the first inning but was able to escape any further damage despite constant traffic on the basepaths. Gausman got the hook after 99 pitches (62 strikes) with the Jays ahead 4-2, but the bullpen let the lead slip away in the seventh inning before the offense erupted late. It's the fifth time in his last six trips to the mound that Gausman's issued multiple free passes, a bumpy stretch in which he's posted a 5.18 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 32:17 K:BB over 33 innings. He'll try to tighten things up in his next start, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Angels.
