Roupp (elbow) struck out four and allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over three innings in a rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Sacramento.

In his first appearance since landing on the injured list July 25 due to right elbow inflammation, Roupp flashed his normal velocity and exhibited good control, pumping 33 of his 50 pitches in for strikes. The Giants will likely want Roupp to push his workload up into the 75-pitch range before activating him from the IL, so he'll presumably require at least one more start in the minors.

Taillon (calf) struck out six and allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over 4.2 innings in his second rehab start Friday for Triple-A Iowa.

After getting lit up for seven earned runs in three innings in his initial outing with Iowa last weekend, Taillon was much sharper in his second rehab start. Perhaps more significantly, Taillon built his pitch count up to 78 on Friday, potentially making him stretched out enough to return from the 15-day injured list to make his next start with the Cubs. The organization is still in the process of determining the next step for Taillon, who has been on the shelf since July 4 due to a right calf strain.

Javier (elbow) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Monday's contest against the Red Sox in Houston, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Javier will make his first major-league start since May 21, 2024, after he spent the last 14-plus months rehabbing and recovering from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. The right-hander wrapped up his five-start minor-league rehab assignment this past Tuesday, when he struck out six batters and allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks across 3.2 innings. Overall, Javier was lacking in control during his rehab assignment, posting a 15:15 K:BB in 14 innings across stops with three affiliates. Since the 28-year-old reached 77 pitches in his latest rehab outing, he'll likely be operating with a minor workload restriction Monday.

Wheeler (10-5) earned the win Sunday at Texas, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

The Philadelphia ace looked sharp in this 83-pitch performance after having his start pushed back from Saturday due to shoulder stiffness. Wheeler generated an impressive 19 whiffs, as he notched seven or more Ks for the 19th time out of 23 total starts this season. The only blemish on his line came in the first when Wheeler conceded a 352-foot, two-run long ball to Joc Pederson. The 35-year-old has pitched to a 2.68 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 189:31 K:BB across 144.2 total frames while remaining in pursuit of his first Cy Young Award. Wheeler currently lines up to make his next start at Washington next weekend.

Corbin (6-8) took the loss Sunday against Philadelphia, conceding three runs on four hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out one.

The veteran southpaw was pulled relatively early for the second straight start at 78 pitches, after he was yanked following a three-inning, 72-pitch outing against the Yankees on Monday. Corbin pitched relatively well in this contest, inducing 11 whiffs, but couldn't make it through the fifth after allowing four of the first five batters in that frame to reach base. Through 117 total innings, the 36-year-old owns a 4.00 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 97:38 K:BB but could be facing difficulty notching wins and quality starts if he continues to see quick hooks. Corbin lines up for another difficult test in his next start, currently scheduled to be at Toronto next weekend.

Manaea conceded four runs on six hits and two walks over four frames while not factoring into the decision in Sunday's 7-6 loss at Milwaukee. He struck out five.

The New York southpaw was cruising through the first three innings, allowing no runs on two hits while his offense supplied him with a 5-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth. Manaea conceded three runs in the fourth before being chased after allowing a leadoff single to Isaac Collins in the fifth. Collins then scored when reliever Reed Garrett gave up a homer to the next batter, William Contreras. Manaea tossed a season-high 87 pitches in this appearance, as the Mets continue to limit his usage after he was shelved until July 13 with elbow and oblique injuries. The 33-year-old has pitched to a 4.33 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB over 27 total innings and is tentatively slated to make his next start at home against the Mariners next weekend.

The Rockies are expected to call up Dollander from Triple-A Albuquerque to start Monday's contest against the Cardinals in St. Louis, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

After struggling to a 6.68 ERA over 68.2 innings in 15 starts with the Rockies before being demoted in July 7, Dollander didn't show much improvement with his performance at Albuquerque, logging an 8.74 ERA and 1.85 WHIP in 11.1 innings over three starts. Despite his poor numbers at Triple-A, Dollander looks like he'll get another chance to stake a more permanent claim to a rotation spot. Assuming the Rockies opt to keep a five-man rotation intact this week, Anthony Molina or Tanner Gordon could be optioned to Triple-A or send to the bullpen to open up a spot for Dollander.

White Sox manager Will Venable said Sunday that Perez (elbow) will throw a bullpen session before the team determines his next steps, Jack Ankony of SI.com reports.

After Perez built up to four innings and 58 pitches in his second rehab outing with Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, Venable suggested that the veteran southpaw would require another start in the minors before returning from the 60-day injured list. However, Venable's comments Sunday seemingly suggest that Perez's return from the IL could be expedited, depending on how the 34-year-old comes out of his upcoming throwing session. Perez has been on the shelf since April 19 due to a left flexor strain, so he'll likely have his workload monitored carefully if the White Sox bring him back from the IL during the upcoming week.

Miller (elbow) is scheduled to make his third rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Miller is expected to build up to around 80-to-85 pitches in the upcoming outing, which should be his final one in the minors before he returns from the 15-day injured list and slots back into the Seattle rotation. The right-hander has been on the shelf since June 7 due to elbow inflammation but has exhibited sharp control through his first two starts with Tacoma, turning in an 11:2 K:BB in 7.2 innings.

Priester did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 7-6 victory over the Mets. He allowed six runs on 10 hits and one walk over 4.1 innings with two strikeouts.

With this 75-pitch outing, Priester snapped a hot streak of five consecutive appearances with a win, during which he fired a 1.99 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over 31.2 frames. The New York lineup jumped on the Milwaukee right-hander early, tallying two runs on three hits in the first frame. When all was said and done, Priester wound up conceding 10 hits, matching a career worst previously set Sept. 30, 2023 against the Marlins when he was with Pittsburgh. The 24-year-old, who now sports a 3.49 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 95:39 K:BB over 118.2 total innings, will look to bounce back in his next start, which currently lines up to come at Cincinnati next weekend.
