The Reds transferred Williamson (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday.

The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for first baseman/designated hitter Mike Ford, who signed a one-year deal with the Reds. Williamson will begin a rehab assignment Thursday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League as he works his way back from a left shoulder strain, but he'll need some time to get ramped back up. He won't be eligible for activation until late May as a result of his move to the 60-day IL.

The Marlins reinstated Garrett (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Garrett isn't expected to make his season debut for the big club until Sunday versus Philadelphia, but he'll rejoin the Marlins a few days early after fellow starter Edward Cabrera (shoulder) was placed on the IL in a corresponding move. The 26-year-old southpaw opened the season on the shelf due to a left shoulder impingement and made two rehab starts before a brief shutdown period while he contended with a dead-arm phase. Garrett has bounced back well since resuming his rehab assignment April 26, compiling a 1.32 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB in 13.2 innings across three outings between Triple-A Jacksonville and the Marlins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate. Garrett built up to 82 pitches in his latest rehab outing Monday and isn't expected to face any major workload restrictions when he debuts this weekend.

The Marlins placed Cabrera on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a right shoulder impingement.

Cabrera was removed after two innings during his start in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to the Dodgers with what was referred to as right biceps discomfort, but it's officially a shoulder impingement that will force him to the IL. It's the same injury that kept him out for the first few weeks of the season. Cabrera will be eligible to return from the IL later this month, but there's currently no timetable for the righty.

Williams (4-0) secured the win Tuesday versus the Orioles after throwing five scoreless innings and striking out eight batters while surrendering two hits.

Williams was carving up the Orioles' lineup Tuesday, striking out eight of the first 15 batters he faced while allowing only one baserunner -- a single from Adley Rutschman. Williams likely could have remained in the game longer; however, the Nationals seem determined to keep him limited to roughly 80 pitches per start this season. The 32-year-old right-hander boasts a 1.96 ERA and 1.06 WHIP heading into his next start, tentatively scheduled to come Monday against the White Sox.

Priester (0-3) was hit with the loss Tuesday versus the Angels, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out one batter in 4.2 innings.

Priester was able to get through the first three innings of Tuesday's game without much trouble, but things took a turn in the fourth when he allowed a three-run homer to Kevin Pillar. A throwing error from Priester also extended the fifth inning, during which two more unearned runs came across to score. It was an all-around forgettable performance for the 23-year-old, who now holds a 3.86 ERA through four starts and will remain in search of his first win next week in Milwaukee.

Hendricks (back) struck out six and allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks over 4.1 innings in his second rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Iowa.

Hendricks tossed 85 pitches in the outing and said Wednesday that he "felt great" during his time on the mound, per Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports. The right-hander's pitch count and own comments about his health suggests that he'll be ready to make his next start with the Cubs, perhaps as soon as Sunday in Pittsburgh. Once Hendricks is activated from the 15-day injured list, he'll likely be taking over Hayden Wesneski's spot in the rotation.

Turnbull threw two innings of relief Tuesday against the Blue Jays, walking one but allowing no hits or runs.

Turnbull was expected to pitch in some sort of piggyback setup with Cristopher Sanchez, but Tuesday's game didn't entirely fit that pattern. Sanchez threw seven innings of one-run ball before turning it over to Turnbull in the eighth with the Phillies up 8-1. Turnbull's outing therefore wound up looking much more like traditional low-leverage relief work than a proper piggybacking arrangement. It's not yet clear whether Turnbull will be used as a typical reliever for the foreseeable future or if the Phillies will keep him lined up with Sanchez's starts.

Sanchez (2-3) picked up the win Tuesday against Toronto, allowing one run on six hits in seven innings while striking out five and walking two.

Sanchez was coming off a pair of starts in which he allowed nine runs (five earned) in eight innings with more walks (five) than strikeouts (four), so there was some speculation that he could lose his rotation spot or fall into a piggyback situation with Spencer Turnbull where only the latter would have a chance at wins. Instead, Sanchez bounced back with an excellent outing, throwing more than 6.0 innings for the first time this year. Turnbull did follow Sanchez out of the pen, throwing the final two innings, but if Tuesday's outing is any indication, Sanchez will continue to be used as a traditional starter as long as he pitches well enough to remain in the role.

Lopez came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

The four free passes were a season high for Lopez, who tossed 54 of 91 pitches for strikes before exiting. The right-hander has failed to last six innings in either of his last two outings after beginning the season with four straight quality starts, but he still sports a 1.53 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB through 35.1 innings. He'll look to tighten things up in his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Cubs.

Harrison (3-1) earned the win over the Rockies on Tuesday, tossing seven shutout innings while allowing four hits and two walks. He struck out two.

Harrison twirled another gem Tuesday night, this time in hitter-friendly Coors Field. He tossed a career-best seven scoreless frames and has now allowed just one run over his last 18 innings pitched. Harrison battled control issues in Triple-A, but he seems to have shrugged off any concerns thus far. Through eight starts, Harrison has gone at least six innings and issued two or fewer walks five times. He's now down to a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB in 45 innings and projects for a matchup at home against the Reds over the weekend.
