Peralta allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings in a no-decision against Texas on Monday.

Peralta pitched pretty well in the outing, but he could go only five frames as a result of throwing 104 pitches. That's been a theme for the right-hander of late, as he's completed six innings in only one of his past six starts despite allowing three or fewer earned runs in five of those outings. Peralta's 4.03 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the campaign are on pace for his worst marks since 2019, though he's been able to rack up 112 strikeouts (fifth-most in the majors) over 87 innings.

Munoz (1-3) took the loss against Kansas City on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Munoz's command wasn't on point Monday, as he tied a season high with four free passes while serving up three home runs. It was the second straight start in which the right-hander surrendered three long balls, and he's given up multiple homers in five of his seven outings overall on the season. Munoz's horrendous 3.5 HR/9 and poor 4.5 BB/9 has led to a 7.94 FIP, which makes his 5.80 ERA seem fortunate.

Steele allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out nine over 7.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Monday.

The downside to Steele's outing was that two of the hits on his line were solo home runs from Matt Chapman and Nick Ahmed. The southpaw hadn't given up a homer in any of his last five starts, and the Giants were able to continue their comeback push against the Cubs' bullpen to deny Steele his first win of the year. Despite the lack of positive results, he's logged five quality starts in 11 outings with a 3.08 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 65:16 K:BB over 64.1 innings. Steele is projected for a tough road matchup at Milwaukee this weekend.

Corbin allowed three runs on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings to take a no-decision versus the Padres on Monday.

Corbin threw 97 pitches (59 strikes) in his longest outing of the season. This was his fourth quality start, though he hasn't earned a win in any of those appearances and has gone winless over eight consecutive starts. For the season, Corbin has a 5.46 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 60:32 K:BB through 89 innings across 16 starts. The southpaw would be on regular rest to start this weekend versus the Rays, but with Josiah Gray (elbow) potentially returning after a rehab appearance Tuesday, it's unclear if Corbin will remain in the Nationals' rotation moving forward.

Waldron allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Monday.

Waldron rattled off his sixth straight quality start, and he's gone nine outings without allowing more than two runs. The run support wasn't there for him Monday, leaving him to take his fifth no-decision of the season. Waldron is at a 3.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 84:27 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 16 starts. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at Boston.

Paxton allowed three hits and three walks while striking out six batters over five scoreless innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Monday.

Paxton needed 91 pitches to get through five frames, so he wasn't able to record a third straight quality start or hang around long enough for Los Angeles' offense to supply him a run. Nonetheless, the veteran left-hander was very effective, and he flashed some of the swing-and-miss stuff of his peak seasons with 18 whiffs. Since giving up a season-high seven runs (six earned) over 1.2 innings versus Pittsburgh in his first start of June, Paxton has surrendered just two runs across 18 frames over his subsequent three outings. The strikeout numbers have been improving too -- Paxton's two best punchout performances of the campaign have come in his past two starts.

Falter (3-6) yielded five runs (four earned) on five hits and a walk over four innings Monday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Reds.

Falter kept Cincinnati off the board for three innings before giving up five runs in the fourth. It was the third time in his last four outings that he was pulled after just four frames. During that span, he's produced an ugly 6.63 ERA, raising his season mark to 4.00 through 83.1 frames. Falter has lost each of his four starts this month and hasn't won since May 24. His next start is currently projected to be at home against the Cardinals.

Nola (9-3) picked up the win Monday against Detroit, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks while striking out six over seven innings.

Nola allowed just one extra-base hit, limiting the Tigers to just one run to notch his sixth quality start over his past seven outings. Despite getting shelled by the Red Sox for eight earned runs on June 13, the 31-year-old owns a robust 3.54 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP and a 84:25 K:BB over 94 innings. The right-hander is in a favorable position to keep the success going in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend against Miami.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Monday that Cavalli (elbow) is dealing with the flu and will be held back for a few days during his minor-league rehab assignment, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Cavalli moved his assignment Friday to High-A Wilmington and struck out three over three scoreless innings as he continues to work his way back from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last spring. The illness isn't a long-term concern for Cavalli, and he'll likely be back on the mound with Wilmington or another affiliate in the near future.

Gray (elbow) will make his next rehab start for Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Gray is expected to work around six innings or 90 pitches Tuesday after firing five innings and 79 pitches in his last minor-league rehab start Wednesday with Double-A Harrisburg. If all goes according to plan, Gray could return from the 15-day injured list and slot back into the Washington rotation following Tuesday's outing.
