Sean Manaea RP | NYM
Mets' Sean Manaea: Facing hitters Thursday
Manaea (oblique) will throw live batting practice Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Manaea will face hitters for the first time since being placed on the 15-day injured list Feb. 24 due to a strained left oblique. The next step in his recovery will be a rehab assignment, though he may throw multiple live sessions before heading out. While he'll likely need several rehab appearances before being activated, Manaea is on track to make his 2025 MLB in early July.

Paul Blackburn SP | NYY
Mets' Paul Blackburn: Targeting June 3 season debut
Blackburn (knee) is expected to make one more rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Syracuse before making his season debut for the Mets the following Monday against the Dodgers, Tim Britton of the Athletic reports.
The 31-year-old right-hander has been sharp over three starts for Syracuse, posting a 2.63 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB through 13.2 innings, but the Mets have delayed activating Blackburn from the IL until they had a need in the rotation. That need arrives this weekend, when the team plays 10 straight games without an off day beginning May 30. It's not clear if New York will stick with a six-man rotation after that stretch, or if Blackburn will then shift into a long relief role.

Logan Henderson SP | MIL
Brewers' Logan Henderson: Heading back to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Henderson to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.
Henderson has gotten off to a brilliant start to his MLB career, going 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA and 0.95 WHIP over 21 innings across his first four starts. However, he just pitched Sunday, and the Brewers have decided they are in immediate need of length in the bullpen heading into this week's series against the Red Sox. DL Hall (lat) was activated from the 60-day injured list to take Henderson's spot on the active roster.

Matt Waldron SP | SD
Padres' Matt Waldron: Builds up to 61 pitches in rehab
Waldron (oblique) allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters across 4.1 innings in his rehab start Sunday with Double-A San Antonio.
Waldron has been on the shelf all season after straining his left oblique while warming up in the bullpen during a Cactus League game in mid-March. He's been steadily building up since beginning his rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on May 15, as he's made his subsequent two starts at San Antonio while tossing two and 4.1 innings. During Sunday's outing, Waldron tossed 61 pitches (37 strikes), but the Padres will likely want to see him move his pitch count up to around 75 during his rehab assignment before bringing him back from the injured list. San Diego could have an opening in the rotation for Waldron once he's activated, as he appears on pace to beat Yu Darvish (elbow) and Michael King (shoulder) back from the IL.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Eduardo Rodriguez: Feels good following sim game
Rodriguez (shoulder) felt good after throwing a three-inning, 55-pitch simulated game Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Rodriguez has bounced back quickly since landing on the 15-day injured list May 15 due to left shoulder inflammation. He initiated a throwing program in the days following the transaction and is the point where the Diamondbacks are considering having him bypass a minor-league rehab assignment prior to being activated. Rodriguez is set to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, per Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, and he'll be eligible to be reinstated Saturday.

Edgardo Henriquez SP | LAD
Dodgers' Edgardo Henriquez: Back to throwing in bullpen
Henriquez (foot) recently resumed throwing bullpen sessions and is close to facing live hitters, MLB.com reports.
Henriquez has been on the injured list all season due to a left foot fracture he suffered this spring. The right-handed reliever has been throwing at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona and could be ready to return from the 60-day injured list at some point in June.
-
Emmet Sheehan SP | LAD
Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Nearing rehab assignment
Sheehan (elbow) could begin a minor-league rehab assignment sometime in June, MLB.com reports.
Sheehan has been throwing to live hitters at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona as he works his way back from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last May. It's not yet clear at what point in June the right-handed hurler could kick off a rehab stint, and he's not expected to be ready to be activated off the 60-day injured list until around the All-Star break.

Antonio Senzatela SP | COL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Start interrupted by rain delay
Senzatela (1-9) took the loss Sunday against the Yankees, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.
Senzatela's day ended midway through the fifth inning when the contest was paused due to inclement weather. The 30-year-old was at 75 pitches when the delay occurred and didn't retake the mound when play resumed. His nine losses are the most in baseball, and no other pitcher has more than seven. He's taken the loss in each of his last six outings and has a 7.89 ERA over 29.1 innings during that stretch. Senzatela is scheduled to face the Mets in New York next weekend.
-
Jesus Luzardo SP | PHI
Phillies' Jesus Luzardo: Another start with 10 Ks
Luzardo didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Oakland, allowing three runs on nine hits and one walk with 10 strikeouts over seven innings.
All three runs against Luzardo came in the first inning, when Jacob Wilson swatted a solo home run and Logan Davidson hit a two-RBI double. Luzardo was lights out after that, tossing six scoreless frames while striking out nine more batters. The left-hander has punched out 10 batters in back-to-back starts and has yet to take a loss on the season. In his last three appearances, Luzardo posted a 2.25 ERA and a 26:6 K:BB across 20 innings. He's lined up to face the Brewers next weekend.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Padres' Yu Darvish: Not ready to come off IL
Darvish (elbow) felt tightness in his elbow following his rehab start with Triple-A El Paso on May 14 and doesn't feel ready to pitch in a big-league game, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
While Darvish is still playing catch and isn't feeling pain in his throwing elbow, it's nonetheless concerning that the veteran hurler has essentially had his rehab stint halted after throwing 51 pitches over four innings with El Paso in his lone appearance. Per Acee, sources indicate that Darvish hasn't suffered a setback, but the 38-year-old doesn't feel confident that he would be able to recover well enough between starts to justify being activated from the injured list and rejoining San Diego's rotation. The expectation is that Darvish will be examined during the coming week to determine if his elbow is structurally sound, and the results of that consultation should provide more clarity about what the path forward looks like for the Japanese pitcher.
