Jose Urena SP | LAA
Marlins' Jose Urena: Spins gem in loss to Nats
Urena (9-5) allowed just a single run on three hits and a walk while striking out six batters through eight innings during Monday's loss to Washington.
The Miami offense let Urena down Monday, sticking him with a loss despite this absolute gem against a daunting opponent. The 25-year-old righty has had a few hiccups this season, but with nine wins alongside a 3.82 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, he's moving the needle in the majority of fantasy settings. The only knock on his virtual stock is a lack of strikeouts (6.3 K/9). However, it wouldn't be shocking if his impressive pitch arsenal were to translate into more punchouts in the future. Urena projects to face the Braves at SunTrust Park in his next start.

Johnny Cueto SP | LAA
Giants' Johnny Cueto: Will rejoin rotation Saturday
Cueto (finger) is expected to rejoin the Giants' starting rotation Saturday, Andrew Baggarly of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The Giants are targeting 70 pitches for Cueto's final rehab appearance with Triple-A San Jose on Monday. The 31-year-old last pitched July 14, and he'll return to the rotation looking to turn around one of the worst seasons of his career. Cueto is 6-7 with a 4.59 ERA and 1.40 WHIP through 19 starts; he's only finished with a losing record once since his rookie year, and the ERA and WHIP are both his worst since his freshman campaign as well.

Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Still not throwing off mound
Syndergaard (lat) still hasn't returned to mound work, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
While Syndergaard continues to progress in his throwing program, the ace has yet to throw off a mound. He has progressed to throwing from 100 feet recently, but he'll need to push that distance to 150 feet without any issues before he returns to the mound. Thor still remains without a firm timetable for return, but the Mets will likely continue to move him along slowly, as they're clearly looking toward 2018.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Dodgers' Yu Darvish: Sent to Dodgers
Darvish was traded to the Dodgers on Monday, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.
Talks had been ongoing throughout the past week, but the Dodgers were ultimately the team to pull the trigger in the waning moments of the non-waiver trade deadline. Darvish will now join an already powerful Dodgers club, likely acting as the clear No. 2 starter behind Clayton Kershaw. On the season, the 30-year-old holds a 4.01 ERA and 148 strikeouts in 137 innings pitched for Texas.

Joey Wentz SP | ATL
Braves' Joey Wentz: Fans eight for Low-A Rome on Sunday
Wentz allowed two runs on three hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out eight for Low-A Rome in Sunday's win over Asheville.
Both runs scored on solo homers, but Wentz was otherwise impressive once again, putting the finishing touches on a dominant July that saw the 19-year-old lefty post a 1.03 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 44:10 K:BB in 35 innings over six starts. In an extremely deep Braves farm system, Wentz is only ranked 14th among the team's fantasy prospects (and ninth among their pitchers), but his electric fastball and developing offspeed offerings still mark him as a potential mid-rotation arm in the majors.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Pitches well in no-decision
Ryu gave up no runs on five hits in a no-decision Sunday against the Giants. He struck out seven and walked one over seven innings.
The game was scoreless until after he departed, spoiling a valiant effort by the 30-year-old. Ryu hasn't factored into a decision in four straight starts, a span that's featured 23 strikeouts, seven walks and only six earned runs, so his 3-6 record on the year is a little misleading. He'll next toe the rubber Saturday against the Mets.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Important rehab step on deck
Wainwright (back) will throw a bullpen session at Busch Stadium on Monday, the team's official site reports.
The Cardinals have let Wainwright know that he'd have to throw a pain-free side session off a mound before they'd consider activating him from the 10-day disabled list. As such, the veteran right-hander will attempt to accomplish the feat during the team's off day, although manager Mike Matheny is still having Luke Weaver prepare as if he'll be the Wednesday starter against the Brewers for the time being.

Jon Gray SP | TEX
Rockies' Jon Gray: Done in by Nationals
Gray tossed seven innings of four-hit, three-run ball in a 3-1 loss to Washington on Sunday. He struck out eight and walked one.
Gray did rather well in keeping the high-powered Nationals bats in check in this one, but he was ultimately done in by a two-run homer by Adam Lind in the fifth inning. He's recorded a solid 3:21 BB:K over his last three starts -- a span of 18 innings -- as he continues to hold his own as the Rockies' de facto No. 1 starter.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Could face hitters next weekend
Anderson (oblique) is scheduled to throw his third bullpen session at some point early this week before likely facing hitters by next weekend, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Anderson's first two bullpen sessions have gone without a hitch, so he'll presumably up his pitch count during his third session before advancing to the next phase of the rehab process. Once he faces hitters in live batting practice one or two times, Anderson would then likely begin a rehab assignment as soon as next week. Rotation depth has been a weakness for the Brewers this season, so Anderson's potential return in mid-to-late August would surely provide a boost on that front.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Improves to 11-7
Freeland (11-7) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on nine hits while striking out four batters over five innings during Sunday's win over the Nationals.
Freeland has been an excellent fantasy asset to this point of the season, but his 121.1 innings are inching close to last season's 162 in the minors, which was a career high. The Rockies have already utilized the 24-year-old lefty out of the bullpen once this season, and the organization has plenty of incentive to put the 2014 first-round selection on an innings count to preserve him for a potential late-season playoff push. A date with the Phillies at Coors Field is up next for Freeland, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect him to continue taking the mound every turn through the rotation moving forward.
