Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Spins eight scoreless for 12th win
Wacha (12-7) pitched eight scoreless inning with seven strikeouts during Sunday's win Pittsburgh.
After posting a discouraging 6.04 ERA through six August games, Wacha has now won consecutive September starts. His 3.99 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 are respectable fantasy numbers, but the 26-year-old righty also sports a 3.68 FIP, so he's likely outpitched his stat line. Wacha lines up to make his next start against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Comes off disabled list
Anderson (knee) was activated from the disabled list prior to Sunday's start against the Dodgers.
As planned, Anderson was brought off the disabled list before Sunday's outing. It's expected that Sunday will be a bullpen game for the Rockies, so Anderson should still make an appearance despite not being tabbed with the start. After pitching 63.1 innings over 13 games this season, Anderson owns a 6.11 ERA and 1.55 WHIP.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Pirates' Tyler Glasnow: Recalled from Triple-A
Glasnow was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.
This move doesn't come as much of a surprise, as Glasnow is one of the Pirates' primary options to start Tuesday's game against the Brewers. However, Glasnow has been a liability on the mound for the Pirates this season. After making 12 starts (54.3 innings) he owns an ERA and WHIP of 7.45 and 1.91, respectively. However, he's been much better since being demoted to Triple-A previously, so perhaps he's found something that works.

Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Won't throw Sunday
Syndergaard (lat) is experiencing soreness and won't throw a simulated game Sunday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
It doesn't appear that Syndergaard incurred a setback while rehabbing his injury, as the team said that Sunday's scheduled workout was delayed due to "general soreness." At this point in time, it's unknown when the Mets plan to have Sundergaard throw his next simulated game, which is expected to be approximately 50 pitches.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Pirates' Tyler Glasnow: Remains starting option next week
Glasnow could start for Pittsburgh as soon as Tuesday following the elimination of Triple-A Indianapolis, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Manager Clint Hurdle said the team will skip Jameson Taillon's rotation turn Tuesday. "We're going to skip him," Hurdle said prior to Indy's elimination. "Who we're going to plug in is yet to be determined. We've got Steven Brault. We'll see how the Triple-A situation works out, but somebody will pick up his start." It appears that either Brault or Glasnow will get the nod Tuesday. Expect general manager Neal Huntington to provide further details Sunday.

Jameson Taillon SP | TOR
Pirates' Jameson Taillon: Will start again after time off
Manager Clint Hurdle confirmed that Taillon will not take his regular turn in the rotation Tuesday, though he added that the righty will start again in 2017, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
"We're going to skip him," Hurdle said. "Who we're going to plug in is yet to be determined. We've got Steven Brault. We'll see how the Triple-A situation works out, but somebody will pick up his start. And then we're going to plug him back in." Taillon has struggled with his control in 2017, with his walks per nine innings more than doubling (1.5 to 3.3).

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Throws off flat ground Saturday
Wainwright (elbow) threw off flat ground Saturday and plans to throw a bullpen Monday or Tuesday, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The right-hander was happy with his sinker during the session and could face Cardinals hitters in live batting practice soon. Wainwright (12-5, 5.12 ERA this year) may not return in time to have much of an impact in fantasy games, especially if the Cardinals fall out of postseason contention. However, if the right streamer matchup comes into play, he may prove useful. The veteran may need to throw at least one rehab start before he can be activated, though.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Struggles in loss to Rockies
Wood (14-3) allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out just two batters through five innings during Saturday's loss to Colorado.
The lefty has now allowed 12 runs through 17 innings over his past three starts and has also spent time on the disabled list with a chest injury during that span. Wood still sports elite numbers for the campaign with a 2.81 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 9.1 K/9, but he's clearly not locked in like he was earlier in the season. Considering his current form, it's worth considering fading him until he rights the ship -- if that luxury even exists. A daunting road matchup against the Nationals is on deck for Wood, too.

Juan Nicasio SP | TEX
Cardinals' Juan Nicasio: Records save for second straight game
Nicasio threw a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record the save for the second time in as many games as a Cardinal.
The right-hander logged 1.1 innings in doing the job during his Friday debut for the Cardinals, and this repeat performance may work in his favor to gain a big lead in the closer battle over -- if not take the job outright from -- Seung Hwan Oh and Tyler Lyons, who got the win after a scoreless eighth. Despite suiting up for his third team of the season, Nicasio has found new life as a reliever this year, posting a 2.69 ERA with 8.9 K/9 over 63.2 innings. Seemingly holding the inside track for saves, Nicasio is worth a pickup in all fantasy leagues.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Records 200th strikeout in quality start
Martinez logged six innings Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight. He did not factor into the decision during the Cardinals' 4-3 win over the Pirates.
Martinez finished the night with exactly 200 strikeouts on the year while punching out at least seven batters for the seventh time in nine starts. The right-hander now holds a 3.33 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 9.5 K/9 and 3.0 BB/9 over 189 innings. He'll carry those numbers into a favorable clash with the Reds on Thursday.
