Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Cleared to start Wednesday
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Maeda (hip) would be activated from the 10-day disabled list to start Wednesday's game against the Rangers, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Maeda completed a bullpen session Sunday without incident, so he'll rejoin the rotation after missing about two weeks with the strained right hip. The right-hander's addition comes at a vital time with Ross Stripling representing the only other regular in the Los Angeles rotation that is at full strength. Alex Wood (hamstring) and Walker Buehler (ribs) both succumbed to injuries in their most recent outings, while the Dodgers continue to wait for Clayton Kershaw (back), Rich Hill (finger) and Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) to return from the DL.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Will begin rehab assignment Thursday
Lucchesi (hip) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Thursday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
The Padres haven't decided which affiliate Lucchesi will report to for his first competitive action since May 14, and it remains unclear if he'll need more than one start in the minors before gaining clearance to return from the 10-day disabled list. More clarity on a possible return date for Lucchesi should come forth after Thursday's rehab outing, but the rookie lefty should have a rotation spot waiting for him once he's officially activated. With Lucchesi unavailable Tuesday against the Cardinals, the Padres will have reliever Matt Strahm fill Lucchesi's spot for a second straight turn through the rotation as part of a bullpen game.

Patrick Corbin SP | TOR
Diamondbacks' Patrick Corbin: Scuffles to no-decision Monday
Corbin allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Monday against Pittsburgh.
One of Corbin's walks was intentional, but he was inconsistent all night long. His misses in the zone were worse than his misses out of the zone, as three of the six hits he allowed were doubles, including a two-run double by Austin Meadows as part of the four-run fifth inning that ruined Corbin's night. Corbin still owns a 3.10 ERA with a brilliant 110:25 K:BB, and he'll get a good chance to right the ship his next time out Saturday against the Mets.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: No-decision despite six strikeouts
Musgrove allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and struck out six through six innings in a no-decision Monday against Arizona.
Musgrove was efficient, as he needed just 88 pitches to get through six innings, but he was let down by his bullpen, which allowed six runs in the final three frames. His off-speed pitches, a changeup and a slider, were brilliant, as they induced 10 swinging strikes on just 29 offerings. When he has those weapons to pair with a 94.6 mph average fastball, Musgrove is extremely tough to hit. He'll take a 2.16 ERA into his second start of the week, a home date Sunday with the Reds.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
Cubs' Jose Quintana: Gives up two runs in no-decision
Quintana allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts through six innings in a no-decision Monday against Milwaukee.
Despite occasional shakiness, Quintana was mostly on point when it mattered, as he kept the Brewers hitless with runners in scoring position. His big mistake was a two-run homer off the bat of Jonathan Villar in the fifth inning. Consistency has been an issue for Quintana, who hasn't completed six innings in consecutive starts since his first two starts of the season on April 1 and April 8. He'll look to end that dubious streak Sunday against the Cardinals.

Jack Flaherty SP | DET
Cardinals' Jack Flaherty: Strikes out six in victory
Flaherty (3-2) allowed one run on three hits and struck out six through 6.1 innings in a win Monday over the Padres.
Flaherty's only big mistake of the night was a solo home run by Cory Spangenberg in the second inning. He would allow two more hits that inning, but was on lockdown for the rest of the night, as he retired the next 14 hitters before walking Spangenberg in the top of the seventh to end his night with 98 pitches thrown (including 58 strikes, 14 swinging). His slider was the money pitch, as Flaherty used it to induce four outs in play and five swinging strikes on just 24 pitches. Flaherty will bring a 2.96 ERA into Sunday's outing against the Cubs.

Jordan Lyles RP | KC
Padres' Jordan Lyles: Gives up pair of home runs in loss
Lyles (2-3) allowed four runs on 11 hits and struck out two over six innings in a loss Monday against the Cardinals.
Lyles pounded the strike zone but mustered just three swinging strikes in 102 pitches. The approach worked most of the night, but he was undone by a pair of home runs off the bats of Jose Martinez and Marcell Ozuna. Lyles has now issued a whopping 11 home runs in just 59.2 innings, leaving him with a brutal 1.7 HR/9. If he can't figure that out, a return to the bullpen may be in his future. For now, though, expect him to make his next turn Saturday against Atlanta.

Robbie Ray SP | SD
Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Could begin rehab assignment Thursday
Ray (oblique) is hoping to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Visalia on Thursday, Jack Magruder of The Sports Xchange reports.
Ray threw another bullpen session Monday, and if he checks out OK in the coming days, he'll be cleared to begin a minor-league rehab stint with the Rawhide later in the week. Given his extended absence -- he's been sidelined since April 29 with an oblique strain -- Ray will likely need to make multiple rehab starts before the Diamondbacks feel comfortable bringing him off the shelf. Barring any setbacks, a return before the end of June is certainly still on the table.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Will throw bullpen Tuesday
Darvish (triceps) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Darvish has been playing catch off flat ground with no issues recently, clearing the way for him to resume mound work for the first time since landing on the disabled list with triceps tendinitis near the end of May. The 31-year-old remains without a timetable for his return at this point, but over the weekend manager Joe Maddon acknowledged the possibility that Darvish might not return from the DL until after the All-Star break. How Darvish responds to Tuesday's session will hopefully shed some light on his possible return timetable.

Johnny Cueto SP | LAA
Giants' Johnny Cueto: Set for one more bullpen session
Cueto (elbow) threw a 45-pitch bullpen session Monday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Cueto ramped up his intensity in Monday's session and said everything went off without a hitch. According to Crowley, the veteran will throw one more bullpen session before progressing to live batting practice over the weekend. Barring any setbacks, Cueto remains on track to potentially rejoin the big-league rotation before the end of June.
