Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: Activated ahead of start
Musgrove (finger) was activated from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Tuesday's start against the Nationals.
Musgrove will end up having missed just the minimum amount of time with a finger infection. He'll take the hill opposite Jeremy Hellickson. Alex McRae was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move.

Aaron Nola SP | PHI
Phillies' Aaron Nola: Pitches gem for 12th win
Nola improved to 12-2 on the season after pitching seven scoreless innings against the Mets on Monday night. He struck out 10 while allowing just one hit and one walk.
The start was probably Nola's best of the season and made him the National League wins leader. He helped himself out at the plate, too, driving in all three Philadelphia runs with a bases-clearing, two-out double in the fifth inning. Following the big hit, he came right back out and struck out the side, part of a stretch of 18 straight outs. Nola will next start Saturday or Sunday against the Marlins before heading off to the All-Star Game.

Jordan Lyles RP | KC
Padres' Jordan Lyles: Throws bullpen session Monday
Lyles (forearm) threw his first bullpen session Monday since landing on the disabled list June 24, MLB.com's AJ Cassavell reports.
Cassavell added that Lyles' next scheduled bullpen session will take place Wednesday, and a rehab start in the minors during the All-Star break seems likely. If all goes well, the 27-year-old could return to the majors shortly after the Midsummer Classic. Lyles owns a 4.46 ERA (4.79 ERA as a starter) over 66.2 innings this season.

Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Strikes out eight in tough luck no-decision
Hendricks allowed just one unearned run on five hits and a walk with eight strikeouts across 8.1 innings Monday against the Giants but was left with a no-decision.
That one unearned run was all it took to push Monday's game to extra innings and nullify Hendricks' effort. Still, he induced a whopping 18 swinging strikes on 109 pitches. The money pitch was Hendricks' changeup, which Giants hitters waved at 13 times on 38 offerings. Things didn't go much better when they made contact with the changeup, as it created seven outs on nine balls in play. Hendricks has thrown just two quality starts in his last nine outings, but maybe this was the start he needed to get things going. He'll carry a 3.93 ERA into his last start of the first half Sunday against San Diego.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Earns third win behind six scoreless
Kershaw (3-4) tossed six shutout innings and allowed just two hits and a walk with five strikeouts to earn the win Monday over the Padres.
Kershaw was efficient, too, as he needed just 89 pitches to get through six frames, and he probably would have gone deeper had the Dodgers not supplied him with an early five-run lead. Kershaw has now completed six innings twice in a row after not pitching into the sixth for his first three starts back from injury. Slowly but surely, it seems like Kershaw is building back up to the ace we know. He'll take a 2.61 ERA into his final start of the first half Saturday against the Angels.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Seven strong innings in win
DeSclafani (4-1) tossed seven innings of one-run ball to earn the win Monday against the Indians, allowing five hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
DeSclafani wasn't especially dominant in any respect, but he induced plenty of weak contact and benefited from a clean defensive performance behind him. His only real mistake came on a solo home run from Yonder Alonso in the fourth inning, but he allowed just one other runner past first base on the evening. DeSclafani's gem comes as a bit of a surprise after he'd allowed nine earned runs across 11.2 innings in his last two starts, but it nonetheless lowered his ERA to a respectable 4.43 heading into this weekend's matchup with the Cardinals.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Tosses short outing
Anderson allowed one run (zero earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out four across 4.2 innings as he didn't factor into the decision Monday against Miami.
Anderson failed to work past the fifth inning, as he was pulled after throwing 96 pitches. Despite not allowing an earned run, he left the game in a 1-1 tie with runners on first and second, although Jeremy Jeffress managed to work out of danger. Over Anderson's past four outings, he's surrendered just three runs over 22 innings with 23 strikeouts.

Jose Urena SP | LAA
Marlins' Jose Urena: Falls just shy of quality start
Urena allowed two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four as he didn't factor into the decision Monday against Milwaukee.
Urena surrendered a run in the third inning and another in the fourth before exiting the game with a one-run deficit. He'd later get off the hook for the loss after back-to-back home runs in the seventh. Urena sports a decent 4.13 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 85 strikeouts through 104.2 innings, and he's given up just two runs over his last 10.2 innings pitched. His last outing before the All-Star break figures to come Sunday against Philadelphia.
-
Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Strikes out eight but takes no-decision
Wheeler struck out eight but allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks and lasted just 4.2 innings in a no-decision Monday against the Phillies.
Wheeler induced a ridiculous 16 swinging strikes but just couldn't find the strike zone when he needed to. His wildness didn't just lead to free passes but unnecessarily deep counts as well, as Wheeler wound up throwing 102 pitches while failing to complete the fifth. The short start was uncharacteristic for Wheeler, who had failed to complete six innings just four times in 16 outings heading into Monday's start. He has shown flashes of brilliance this season, but Wheeler's inconsistency will leave him with a 4.42 ERA heading into his last start of the first half Saturday against the Nationals.

Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Takes no-decision against Mets
Eflin allowed three runs on five hits and struck out four through five innings in a no-decision Monday against the Mets.
Eflin did not appear affected by the blister that forced him out of his last start July 3 against the Orioles, but he still had his streak of six consecutive starts with a win snapped. The Mets didn't get much against Eflin, but when they managed to make contact, they hit the ball squarely, as three of their five hits went for extra bases, including a first inning home run by Asdrubal Cabrera. Eflin still hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start since May 30 against the Dodgers, a seven-start stretch in which he owns a sub-2.00 ERA, a sub-1.00 WHIP and 38 strikeouts against just six walks.
