Oviedo was recalled from the alternate training site Sunday.

The 23-year-old failed to make the Opening Day roster but didn't need to wait long before returning to the majors. Oviedo made his big-league debut for the Cardinals last season and had a 5.47 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 16:10 K:BB across 24.2 innings as a starter.

Woodford was optioned to the alternate training site Sunday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The right-hander fired 1.2 scoreless frames during Saturday's loss to the Brewers, and he'll head to the alternate site as the Cardinals rotate their roster pieces. Woodford should be in the mix to rejoin the big-league club when another arm is required.

Gonsolin will attempt to throw a bullpen session Sunday but is still dealing with shoulder soreness, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Gonsolin is eligible to come off the 10-day injured list Sunday, but Toribio notes that the right-hander isn't close to returning to game action. Gonsolin has yet to pitch in a regular-season game thus far in 2020 as he has been dealing with the shoulder issue since the start of the campaign. When he does ultimately return, the 26-year-old is expected to fill a multi-inning relief role out of the bullpen.

Kim (back) is expected to throw approximately 90 pitches in a simulated game at the Cardinals' alternate training site Sunday, the Associated Press reports.

The robust workload is a good indication of Kim's progress toward a regular-season debut, although the team will naturally evaluate him in coming days to ensure he tolerates it well. If he remains free of setbacks, Kim could join the team on the road trip that begins Friday.

Corbin (0-1) allowed six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.1 innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Saturday.

Corbin got a tough draw in his return from the COVID-19 IL; even down both Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger, the Dodgers' lineup is scary. The big blow was a three-run homer off the bat of Chris Taylor. The lefty threw 80 pitches and got 16 called strikes and 11 swinging strikes. Next week's start at home against the Diamondbacks will provide a better gauge of where Corbin really is skills-wise after his shaky 2020 season.

Urias (2-0) allowed three runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings in a win over the Nationals on Saturday. He struck out three and did not issue a walk.

The lefty gave up five singles in his first two innings, but he eventually buckled down. Overall, Urias threw 74 of his 95 pitches for strikes, so he was challenging hitters and most of the Washington lineup was not up to the challenge. It looks like the reins are finally coming off for Urias at age 24, at least in terms of his pitch counts; the Dodgers will likely still find ways to manage his innings this season. Urias lines up to face the Padres in San Diego next week.

Anderson hurled 5.1 innings against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six. He did not factor in the decision.

Anderson found himself with a two-run deficit in the first inning, but he bounced back to finish with a respectable final line. The right-hander yielded only two hits after that first frame, but both were solo home runs (by Andrew McCutchen and Bryce Harper). Anderson has allowed five runs while posting a 13:3 K:BB over 10.1 innings covering his first two starts -- each against Philadelphia. He'll get a different challenge Thursday when he faces Miami at home in his next scheduled start.

Eflin tossed six innings against the Braves on Saturday, giving up four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out two. He did not factor in the decision.

Eflin got off to a shaky start in the contest, yielding three runs in the first frame, including a pair on a Freddie Freeman home run. The right-hander subsequently settled in, however, and didn't allow another runner to cross the plate until the sixth inning. Eflin's performance was a step down from his first start against Atlanta, during which he gave up only one run while striking out eight over seven innings, but the positive is that he didn't fold after being knocked around early. Eflin's next start is scheduled for Thursday at the Mets.

Davies (1-1) allowed seven runs on five hits and three walks while fanning two across 1.2 innings Saturday against the Pirates. He was tagged with the loss.

Davies pitched 5.2 innings in his Cubs debut and earned a win against the Pirates, but he was roughed up by the same Pittsburgh team he dominated one week ago -- he couldn't even get out of the second inning after allowing all seven of his runs during the second frame. Davies will try to put this outing behind him quickly in his next start scheduled April 16 at home against the Braves.

Paddack allowed three earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out three across four innings in Saturday's win over the Rangers. He did not factor in the decision.

After a rough spring, Paddack has struggled in his first two starts. He hasn't been able to go further than four innings yet despite facing a weak Rangers lineup Saturday. The 25-year-old has been streaky since 2019, when he had a 3.33 ERA and 153 strikeouts in 140.2 innings. Paddack will get a good chance to get back on track against a bad Pirates offense Thursday.
