Lorenzen (shoulder) said Friday that he believes he can return by the end of June, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

The Reds had initially targeted a mid-July return for the right-hander, but with the news that he'll be returning to the team as a reliever, Lorenzen believes that he could be back with the Reds by the end of the month. The 29-year-old, who was placed on the 10-day injured list April 1 and later transferred to the 60-day IL April 14, has yet to pitch for Cincinnati this season.

Brubaker was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Friday.

Brubaker returned from the bereavement list Thursday but had to clear COVID-19 intake protocols prior to rejoining the team. The right-hander isn't listed among the probable starters for the weekend series against the Marlins, but he'll likely return to the rotation during the team's upcoming series against the Dodgers that begins Tuesday. Infielder Will Craig was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Gonsolin (shoulder) has joined the Dodgers in Atlanta and will make his season debut next week against the Pirates, a series which begins Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Gonsolin made the Dodgers' Opening Day roster but didn't pitch in a game before landing on the injured list in early April due to right shoulder inflammation. He's ready to go now following three rehab starts and will head straight to the starting rotation, though he's likely to be on a pitch count for his first few outings. He didn't throw more than 3.2 innings in any of his rehab appearances, as a stomach bug limited him to 60 pitches in his latest start despite the Dodgers hoping he'd get to 75.

Darvish (6-1) earned the win Thursday against the Mets after giving up two runs on four hits and a walk while fanning five across 5.1 innings.

Darvish might have ended two outs away from posting a quality start, but that was because his pitch count had already reached 90 deliveries. The star hurler delivered another impressive outing but also contributed at the plate, as he went 2-for-2 with a double. Darvish, who improved his ERA to 2.25 on the year, lines up to face his former team, the Cubs, at home next week.

Walker (4-2) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Padres after allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and four walks while fanning two across five innings.

Walker dropped a decision for the first time since April 20 and didn't have his best stuff, as he had more walks than strikeouts for the first time this season while also tying his season-worst mark in runs allowed. The control issues have been quite a problem for Walker this year, as he owns a 3.8 BB/9 that would rank as the second-worst mark of his career if he doesn't improve it. He's scheduled to start next week against the Orioles on the road.

DeSclafani (5-2) earned the win Thursday against the Cubs after tossing six innings of two-run ball. He allowed four hits and fanned four without walking a batter.

DeSclafani has bounced back from an ugly outing against the Dodgers on May 23, in which he allowed 10 runs over just 2.2 innings, with back-to-back two-run outings. Thursday's performance was his third quality start since the beginning of May, and he owns a 5.15 ERA over his last seven starts.

Davies (2-3) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Giants after allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while fanning four across 4.1 innings.

The loss ended a streak of six straight outings in which Davies allowed three or fewer runs, and he also failed to complete at least five innings for the first time since May 1. His next scheduled start is set for next week on the road against the Padres.

Wainwright (3-5) allowed three earned runs on eight hits while striking out four across seven innings, taking the loss to the Reds on Thursday.

Wainwright allowed three runs across in the first two innings, capped off by Jesse Winker's two-run bomb in the second frame. Despite the mediocre start, the veteran settled in to pitch five scoreless frames before being relieved to start the eighth inning. Thursday was his second start this season where he didn't issue any walks. The 39-year-old has a 4.19 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 61 strikeouts in 66.2 innings.

Gutierrez (1-1) allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings in the win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Gutierrez picked up his first career win in his second start for the Reds on Thursday. The rookie allowed two runs in the first inning on three hits and a walk, but he followed that with four hitless frames. The 25-year-old has a 2.70 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with six strikeouts through 10 MLB innings.

Anderson allowed three earned runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four across 5.1 innings Thursday against the Marlins. He did not factor into the decision.

Anderson allowed only one earned run prior to being pulled after recording one out in the sixth inning. However, he exited with runners on second and third, both of whom came around to score. Anderson has now failed to work at least six innings in eight of his 11 outings this season. Through 61.2 total frames, he's maintained a 4.67 ERA with 59 strikeouts.
