Kim didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Marlins despite tossing six innings with just one run allowed. He gave up three hits and five walks while fanning six.

The southpaw made his first start since June 4 and while he delivered good results, he was far from composed -- he only tossed 49 of his 102 pitches for strikes and the five walks represent a season-worst mark as well. Kim owns a 3.72 ERA on the season and is scheduled to make his next start during the weekend against the Braves on the road.

Rogers tossed six innings of one-run ball Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing three hits and a walk while fanning six. He didn't factor into the decision.

Rogers might have departed the game with a no-decision, but there's no question he was impressive on the mound once again and continues to deliver excellent results every time he takes the ball. The left-hander, who recently returned from the COVID-19 IL, has allowed two or fewer earned runs in eight straight outings and owns an excellent 1.98 ERA as a result. Rogers' next start is scheduled for this weekend on the road against the Cubs.

Lugo earned the save Tuesday after tossing two scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and a walk while striking out three.

With Edwin Diaz unavailable after pitching three of the last four games, Lugo came in to close out a one-run ballgame. He retired the side in the eighth, including a pair of strikeouts. After returning for the ninth, the right-hander worked around a pair of singles and a walk to finish off the win for the Mets, tossing 37 pitches in the process. Across six appearances this year, Lugo has compiled a 1.17 ERA and 1.17 WHIP.

Walker (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday after holding the Cubs to two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out 12 across seven innings.

Walker's only blemish of the night was a two-run homer by Javier Baez in the third inning. Otherwise, the right-hander displayed impressive control, notching a career-high 12 strikeouts while not issuing any walks for the third time this year. Walker, who has been one of the best pitchers in the National League this season, has now allowed one run or fewer in six of his last seven starts, lowering his ERA to 2.12 and his WHIP to 1.00. The 28-year-old is slated to take the mound again on the road Sunday at Washington.

Garrett was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

The left-hander made his third start of the season Monday versus the Cardinals and allowed two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and a walk over 4.1 innings. The Marlins have scheduled off days Thursday and next Monday, so the team can operate with a short rotation for the immediate future. Garrett has a 5.56 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 8:5 K:BB across 11.1 innings this season, and he could receive another look from Miami later in the summer.

Strasburg's (neck) recent visit with a specialist didn't lead to anything concrete, but he's scheduled for another visit soon, Maria Torres of The Athletic reports.

Strasburg has still yet to throw since he was placed on the 10-day injured list June 2. It remains unclear when he's expected to do so, but some clarity could emerge following his next visit.

Gray (groin) joined the Reds on their road trip this week and has made some progress in his recovery, though he doesn't yet have a projected return date, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Gray is eligible to return from the IL as early as Saturday, though that doesn't seem too likely. "He's progressing," manager David Bell said. "Nothing has changed. We don't have a date for his first start back, but no news is good news. It's improved every day, which is great."

Lodolo's last two starts for Double-A Chattanooga have been curtailed by blisters on his pitching hand, including Saturday's outing against Pensacola, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Lodolo's previous start on May 30 was cut short by the blister issue, so it's been bothering him for more than two weeks now. He's been utterly dominant at Chattanooga, posting a 0.90 ERA and 0.83 WHIP over 30 innings with a ridiculous 45:6 K:BB. Teammate Hunter Greene has already been promoted to Triple-A Louisville, and it's easy to imagine that Lodolo will soon follow.

Falter pitched three scoreless innings in long relief Monday against the Dodgers, allowing just one hit and striking out a batter.

Falter was called up ahead of Monday's game and was expected to pitch due to Spencer Howard's lack of ability to go deep into games. He was roughed up for two runs on four hits over two innings in his MLB debut in April but was quite impressive in this one against one of the better lineups in baseball. It's unclear whether the Phillies plan to send him back down to Triple-A Lehigh Valley; manager Joe Girardi may want to continue to experiment with the tandem of him and Howard.

Peterson (2-5) picked up the win Monday, allowing one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings in a 5-2 victory over the Cubs. He struck out three.

The southpaw threw 43 of 73 pitches for strikes as he put together his fifth quality start of the season. Peterson had coughed up nine runs in only three innings over his last two outings, however, and he'll need to find some consistency before he'll be anything more than a DFS dart throw. He'll carry a 5.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB through 53 innings into his next start.
