The Marlins placed Rogers on the 10-day injured list Saturday with lower-back muscle spasms, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

The lefty must have suffered the injury during Tuesday's start when he wasn't exceptionally sharp, walking three batters and allowing two runs in five innings. It's unclear how long Rogers will be sidelined with the back spasms. Braxton Garrett was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

Carrasco (hamstring) will make another rehab start at Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

The Mets were considering activating Carrasco to make a major-league start Sunday or Monday, but he'll require at least one more rehab appearance before he returns from the 60-day injured list. The right-hander has made two rehab starts so far, but he allowed five runs on three hits and three walks while striking out one in 1.2 innings during his most recent outing. If Sunday's start goes well, Carrasco could potentially rejoin the big-league squad late next week.

Peterson (oblique) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Peterson has been sidelined since July 2 due to an oblique strain, but he's been participating in a throwing program recently and is nearing his return to mound work. However, the southpaw will now be sidelined until early September following his shift to the 60-day IL. The move clears up a spot on the 40-man roster for Mark Payton, who was acquired from the Reds on Saturday.

Gutierrez will start Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Gutierrez has made 10 starts for the Reds to begin the season, and he was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Friday. Although the right-hander gave up six runs in four innings during his last start, he'll rejoin Cincinnati's rotation Tuesday, while Jeff Hoffman will shift to a bullpen role. Across Gutierrez's 10 starts this year, he's posted a 4.97 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 54.1 innings.

Musgrove (6-7) picked up the win Friday, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over six innings in a 5-2 victory over the Marlins. He struck out four.

The right-hander filled up the zone, tossing 69 of 98 pitches for strikes while delivering his first quality start since June 23 and his eighth of the year. Musgrove hasn't been able to recapture his no-hit form from early in the season, but he's kept battling -- since the beginning of June, he sports a 4.44 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 44:16 K:BB through 48.2 innings.

Megill (1-0) picked up the win Friday, allowing two hits and a walk over six scoreless innings in a 3-0 victory over the Blue Jays. He struck out five.

The rookie continued his remarkable run of success, delivering his second straight quality start while extending his scoreless streak to 12.2 frames. Megill has a 2.10 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 33:10 K:BB through his first 30 big-league innings, and even when the Mets' pitching staff gets healthier, it could be tough to dislodge the 25-year-old from his rotation spot.

Mahle didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals, allowing two runs on five hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander had trouble finding the strike zone, tossing only 51 of 95 pitches for strikes before getting the hook, and two of the balls he did get over the plate left the yard for solo shots. Mahle has served up multiple homers in back-to-back starts and three times in his last five outings, and since the beginning of June he sports a 4.47 ERA inflated by a 1.6 HR/9 despite a solid 1.33 WHIP and strong 12.0 K/9.

Cueto yielded three runs on three hits and a walk over five innings in Friday's loss to Pittsburgh. He struck out seven and did not factor in the decision.

Cueto allowed an RBI triple to Gregory Polanco in the second inning, but most of the damage against him came via Bryan Reynolds' two-run homer in the third. He's given up 11 long balls in his last eight starts. The veteran righty saw his ERA climb to 4.09 with a 77:17 K:BB through 16 starts. Cueto is lined up for a tough home matchup against the Dodgers next week.

Wheeler (8-5) earned the win Friday against Atlanta after tossing seven innings of one-run ball, allowing seven hits and two walks while fanning eight.

Wheeler had one of his finest performances of the season and continues to rack up strikeouts at a rapid pace, as he has fanned at least six in five straight starts while posting a career-best 10.9 K/9 on the season. The right-hander, who has given up zero or one run in three of his last five outings, is expected to make his next start during next week's series against the Nationals at home.

Corbin (6-9) allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out four in 5.1 innings to take the loss against the Orioles on Friday.

Corbin tossed three scoreless frames to begin Friday's contest, but he struggled to contain the Orioles' offense after the third inning. The southpaw picked up a win in his final start before the All-Star break, but he's now given up at least five runs in each of his last two outings, and he's been charged with losses in four of his last five appearances. Corbin tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Philadelphia on Wednesday.
