Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: On pace for Friday return
Freeland (back) threw a bullpen session Sunday and is expected to return from the 15-day injured injured list to start Friday against the Brewers in Milwaukee, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
The veteran left-hander landed on the shelf due to back stiffness after his June 11 start against San Francisco, but he's on track to rejoin Colorado's rotation after spending the minimum amount of time on the IL. Freeland will likely throw another bullpen session Tuesday before being fully cleared to return this weekend.

Cal Quantrill SP | ATL
Marlins' Cal Quantrill: Penciled in to start Tuesday
Quantrill (hamstring) is scheduled to start Tuesday against the Giants, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander dealt with a cramp in his left hamstring during his previous start last Tuesday against the Phillies, but it won't affect his availability for the next turn through the rotation. Quantrill hasn't given up more than three earned runs in an appearance since April 30, and he has a 3.93 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 32:9 K:BB across 36.2 innings during that eight-start stretch.

Edgardo Henriquez RP | LAD
Dodgers' Edgardo Henriquez: Ramping up in rehab stint
Henriquez (foot) pitched on back-to-back days Wednesday and Thursday for the first time during his current minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City, per MLB.com.
Henriquez was excellent in the back-to-back appearances, striking out three batters and allowing just one hit over two scoreless innings. The right-hander tacked on another scoreless frame Saturday, and he's allowed just one run over his past five outings spanning six innings with OKC. Henriquez appears just about ready to be activated from the 60-day IL, which could lead to him contributing to the big-league bullpen in the near future.

Chase Petty SP | CIN
Reds' Chase Petty: Sent back to Triple-A
The Reds optioned Petty to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.
After he was recalled from Triple-A on Saturday, Petty had initially been expected to get a start. Instead Brent Suter opened the game, and Petty didn't get called upon until the bottom of the 11th after seven other pitchers had been used. He ended up taking his third loss of the season, recording two outs before surrendering a game-winning hit to Yohel Pozo. The Reds sent Petty back to the minors to remain stretched out as a starter and recalled Yosver Zulueta to replace him in the bullpen.

Brad Keller RP | CHC
Cubs' Brad Keller: Nabs third win
Keller (3-0) worked around a hit to toss 1.2 scoreless innings and earn the win in Saturday's 10-7 victory over the Mariners. He struck out three.
After starter Cade Horton only covered 4.2 innings for the Cubs, the team turned to Keller for some length. The righty retired more than three batters for the seventh time this season in 33 appearances, and he lowered his ERA to a sparkling 2.00 in the process. Keller also has 36 strikeouts across 36 innings, as the former starter settles comfortably into a middle relief role.

Cade Horton SP | CHC
Cubs' Cade Horton: Settles for no-decision Saturday
Horton did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks over 4.2 innings against Seattle. He struck out two.
The right-hander wasn't at his sharpest, and a Vidal Brujan error in the fifth inning contributed to his exit. Despite the shortened outing, Horton has put together a solid rookie campaign, posting a 3.73 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 41 innings across eight appearances, including seven starts.
