Snell (groin) completed five innings for Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks while striking out seven to earn the win.

In his third minor-league rehab appearance -- and first at the Triple-A level -- Snell extended to five frames and tossed 59 pitches. The latter number was seven pitches fewer than he threw in his previous rehab outing, but Snell was more effective Tuesday in limiting his opponent to just one run. The Padres haven't yet announced the next step for the left-hander, though manager Bob Melvin has suggested that this was likely his final rehab start, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Nola (1-4) took the loss during Tuesday's 5-4 defeat at the hands of the Mariners, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits and one walk with six strikeouts in 5.1 innings.

Nola fell behind early by surrendering four hits and two runs in the first inning with additional runs coming around in the second and sixth. Despite a quality 3.83 ERA and 1.00 WHIP from Nola to this point, Philadelphia has managed to lose all six of his starts since Opening Day. A 2.59 xERA and 2.56 xFIP suggest he should improve some going forward, with a tentative start Sunday against the Dodgers being the next opportunity.

Luzardo (2-3) took the loss during Tuesday's 9-3 defeat at the hands of the Diamondbacks, allowing four runs on two hits and four walks with six strikeouts in 2.2 innings.

Luzardo got off to a rocky start by surrendering a walk and a home run before recording an out in the first inning. He then put two more on via free passes in the third, with both runners coming around to score. The 24-year-old has compiled nearly as many walks (16) as hits (18) this year, though he's whiffed an impressive 41 in 29 innings and recorded six of eight outs via strikeout Tuesday. He's projected to toe the rubber again early next week against the Nationals.

Miley didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to San Diego, allowing three runs on five hits and five walks with one strikeout in three innings.

After being sidelined for the first month of the season with an elbow injury, Miley pitched poorly from the start. He surrendered five baserunners and two runs in the first then three baserunners and one run in the third, with all of the damage coming with two outs in both innings. The 35-year-old found the zone with only 37 of 64 pitches and induced just four swinging strikes. Miley will look to rebound in his next start, which tentatively lines up for next week against Pittsburgh.

Clevinger didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Cubs, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

Clevinger put multiple runners on base in every inning except the fourth, with the big blow coming on an Alfonso Rivas two-run shot in the third. That's now two starts surrendering three runs and going fewer than five innings to open 2022, as the 31-year-old has now allowed five runs on 10 hits and five walks with 10 strikeouts in nine innings. The one positive has been pitch count as Clevinger has exceeded 90 pitches in both outings and appears to be fully recovered from his knee injury. With San Diego employing a six-man rotation, Clevinger isn't scheduled to pitch again until next week against Philadelphia.

Wood (3-2) earned the win during Tuesday's 9-2 victory over Colorado, allowing one unearned run on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings.

Wood put multiple Rockies on base in the first, fourth, fifth and sixth innings but was able to limit the damage to an unearned run in the fourth. Manager Gabe Kapler let the 31-year-old toss a season-high 104 pitches -- 15 more than his next highest total -- though Wood was only able to tie his season high in innings. He'll take a 3.60 ERA into his next start.

Senzatela (2-2) was handed the loss during Tuesday's 9-2 defeat at the hands of the Giants, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks with one strikeout in 3.2 innings.

Senzatela loaded the bases with none out in the second inning before letting all three runners score, then surrendered four straight hits in the fourth to push two more runs across the plate. The 27-year-old has now gone fewer than five innings in his last two turns while recording only one strikeout in each of his last three. He'll most likely take the mound again for a rematch with San Francisco early next week.

Wright (3-2) pitched 4.2 innings, surrendering six runs on seven hits and four walks on his way to a loss against the Red Sox on Tuesday. He struck out four batters.

Wright imploded in the top of the second inning, giving up all six runs, capped off by a Rafael Devers grand slam, giving the Red Sox a 6-0 lead. The right-hander matched his season-high with four walks in what was ultimately his shortest outing of the 2022 campaign. After allowing just six total earned runs in his first five starts of the season, four of which were quality starts, the 26-year-old simply didn't have his best stuff Tuesday. Even with the tough outing, Wright still has a 3.03 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 41 punchouts over 35.2 innings in six starts.

Falter will be recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to start Wednesday against the Mariners, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The Phillies are in need of rotation pieces with Zack Wheeler (undisclosed) and Zach Eflin (undisclosed) on the COVID-19 injured list, and Falter will receive the nod after being demoted two weeks ago. The 25-year-old began the season in Philadelphia's bullpen before joining the rotation at Lehigh Valley, so he's only stretched out to throw about 60-to-65 pitches.

DeGrom (shoulder) recently began a throwing program and is playing catch from 60 feet, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

The 33-year-old was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined through the All-Star break, but it's still good news he's begun a throwing program after being shut down for over a month. There could be another update on deGrom's status next week since he's scheduled to undergo another MRI.
