Kelly (11-5) earned the win against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out seven and walking one over 7.1 innings.

Kelly picked up the win despite allowing four runs to cross the plate. He threw 68 of 99 pitches for strikes in the contest. The White Sox got to him early with a three-run homer in the first inning, but they did not score again until Romy Gonzalez's RBI double in the eighth. The righty is having a career year, pitching to the tune of a 2.97 ERA with 135 strikeouts in 157 innings.

Gibson (9-5) earned the win Saturday, allowing six hits and one walk over seven innings in a 6-0 victory over Pittsburgh. He struck out nine.

Gibson surrendered a double to Bligh Madris, and the remaining hits he allowed were singles. The righty has pitched six innings or more in five of his last six starts. The 34-year-old has also been racking up strikeouts with 34 over 37.1 innings during that span.

Cobb allowed four hits and two walks while striking out seven over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Saturday.

Cobb needed 99 pitches (64 strikes) to complete five frames, but it was an otherwise effective start. He was in line for the win until the Twins got a pair of run-scoring, two-out hits in the bottom of the ninth off closer Camilo Doval. Cobb hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his last six starts, but he has just one win in that span. For the season, the right-hander has a 3.81 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 115:33 K:BB through 111 innings across 21 starts. He's tentatively lined up for a home start versus the Phillies next week.

Peterson (7-3) allowed four hits and struck out seven without walking a batter in six shutout innings to earn the win Saturday over the Rockies.

Peterson took an inefficient loss in the second game of last Saturday's doubleheader versus the Phillies, but he was good in this start against the hapless Rockies. He didn't give up an extra-base hit and kept Colorado from putting a runner in scoring position after the first inning. Peterson lowered his ERA to 3.21 with a 1.28 WHIP and 104:40 K:BB through 89.2 innings across 20 appearances (16 starts). He could stick in the rotation for another turn since Carlos Carrasco (oblique) is more than a week away from returning. If Peterson gets another turn, he lines up for a favorable home start versus the Nationals next weekend.

Freeland (7-9) took the loss Saturday versus the Mets, allowing two runs on four hits, a walk and two hit batters with two strikeouts in five innings.

Brandon Nimmo was Freeland's main nemesis -- the Mets' outfielder hit a solo home run in the first inning and an RBI double in the second to account for both runs on the southpaw's line. The Rockies' offense was limited to five hits and couldn't give Freeland any run support. He's had a bit more success keeping the ball in the yard this year, allowing 17 homers through 142 innings across 25 starts. The 29-year-old owns a 4.88 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 101:44 K:BB, and he'll look to snap a four-start winless stretch next week in a projected road outing in Cincinnati.

Morton didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's 6-5 loss to St. Louis, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings.

Morton posted three scoreless frames before surrendering two-run home runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. Despite permitting four runs, the 38-year-old was still in line for the win until Kenley Jansen suffered the loss and blown save in the ninth inning. Morton tossed 61 of 93 pitches for strikes with only six whiffs, which led to his lowest strikeout total since May 25. He carries a 4.10 ERA and 1.19 WHIP into his next start, slated to come next weekend against Miami.

Montgomery registered a no-decision during Saturday's 6-5 win against Atlanta, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts in five innings.

Montgomery pitched well aside from the fourth inning, when he permitted four straight hits to lead off the frame and four of the five runs on his ledger. The big blow came on a Travis d'Arnaud three-run home run. The rough start snapped a four-game winning streak that featured a 0.35 ERA since joining St. Louis at the trade deadline. Despite four strikeouts, the 29-year-old induced 11 swinging strikes on 85 pitches and has been close to untouchable other than Saturday's fourth inning. Montgomery carries a 3.28 ERA into his next start, slated for next weekend against the Cubs.

May (1-1) took the loss against Miami on Saturday, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters.

May wasn't as dominant as in his season debut one week ago, when he struck out nine batters over five scoreless, one-hit innings. Nonetheless, he looked good again Saturday, throwing 56 of 86 pitches for strikes and holding the Marlins without an extra-base hit. Two of the five base knocks against him were infield singles in the sixth inning, which proved to be the decisive frame. May has made two starts since returning from Tommy John surgery, and he's allowed just two runs over 11 innings while posting a 13:3 K:BB.

Alcantara (12-6) earned the win over the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters over nine innings.

Los Angeles got the better of Alcantara six days ago, hanging six runs on the ace over 3.2 innings. Alcantara got some redemption Saturday, however, inducing 19 swinging strikes and fanning 10 batters en route to his league-best fourth complete game. The right-hander's only meaningful mistake came in the third inning, when he hung a slider that Mookie Betts crushed for a solo home run. Alcantara's triumph over the league's winningest and highest-scoring team is a feather in the cap of a Cy Young-worthy season during which he has thus far posted a 2.13 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 167:46 K:BB over 185.2 innings.

Miley (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Saturday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Miley was shut down from throwing last week after his shoulder didn't respond well following a rehab appearance. However, he'll test things out during his side session Saturday after resting for several days. If the southpaw feels good after his mound work, it's possible that he'll be cleared to resume a rehab assignment sometime next week.
