Lugo (2-2) took the loss against the Cubs on Thursday, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out two.

Lugo couldn't overcome a poor second inning during which he served up two homers and allowed three total runs. The right-hander otherwise pitched fairly well, though he gave up three singles and a run in the fifth frame. After winning his first two starts of the campaign, Lugo has now lost consecutive outings, surrendering six runs across 11 frames during that span. Thursday was his first appearance of the campaign with fewer than five strikeouts.

Wesneski (2-1) allowed one run on four hits across five innings to earn the win Thursday against the Padres. He walked one and struck out three.

Outside of a Manny Machado solo home run in the second inning, Wesneski was in cruise control for his second win of the season. He hasn't fully been able to carry over his success from spring training, as he's still sitting at a 5.24 ERA and has pitched five or more innings only twice in five starts. However, Wesneski has looked pretty sharp in two of his last three outings, and the Cubs figure to have some patience with the promising 25-year-old.

Wright did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing no runs on two hits and a walk over three innings against Miami. He struck out six.

Wright pitched well Thursday, striking out six in three scoreless innings before he was replaced following a rain delay. Overall, it's been an up-and-down start to the season for Wright. He's 0-1 with a 4.86 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB. Wright is currently lined up to face the Marlins again in his next outing.

Garrett did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing no runs on one hit over three innings against Atlanta. He struck out three.

Garrett allowed just one hit in three innings against Atlanta before he was replaced following a rain delay. The left-handed Garrett has been solid early in the season -- he's 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB. However, he's yet to make it out of the fifth inning through four starts this year. Garrett should remain in the Marlins rotation while Trevor Rogers (biceps) and Johnny Cueto (biceps) are sidelined.

Wainwright (groin) will pitch in his third rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Memphis, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Wainwright has made two starts with St. Louis' minor-league affiliates and managed to complete 4.1 innings his last time out. In total, he's managed a 4:1 K:BB while allowing five earned runs across 7.1 frames in those two outings. His target is 90 pitches Sunday, meaning if all goes well he could step into the big-league rotation late next week.

Urias (3-3) took the loss Thursday, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.2 innings against the Pirates. He struck out five.

Urias was the latest victim of the Pirates' surprisingly potent offense, as he surrendered three runs in the first inning and three more in the fifth in a 6-2 defeat. After allowing just three runs in his first three outings, Urias has now lost his last three starts, giving up 13 runs over 14.1 innings. The home-run ball has been particularly problematic for Urias, as he's let up six homers during his current three-game losing streak. The 26-year-old left-hander has a 4.41 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB in 32.2 innings this season.

Keller (3-0) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over six innings against the Dodgers. He struck out 10.

Keller allowed a pair of runs in the first inning but managed to skirt further damage with a 10-strikeout performance, setting a new season high. The 27-year-old Keller now has five consecutive quality starts, lowering his ERA to 3.53 with a 1.21 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB over 35.2 innings. He'll look to keep his breakout season rolling in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for next week in Tampa Bay.

Carrasco (elbow) threw a successful bullpen session Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

It was his first time throwing off a mound since he went on the injured list April 16 due to pain caused by a small bone chip in his right elbow. Carrasco received an injection April 19, which has apparently helped him get over the hump. He could return to the Mets' rotation in the early part of May if all continues to go well with his side work.

Walker (forearm) could make his next scheduled start after an encouraging visit with the Phillies' medical staff Thursday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

It was determined that an MRI was unnecessary after Walker was examined Thursday, and he then played catch without issue at Citizens Bank Park. He made an early exit from his start Wednesday against the Mariners due to right forearm tightness, but for now it would appear that the discomfort was only a minor scare. If he does indeed stay on his normal turn, Walker would face the Dodgers in Los Angeles next Monday.

Hendricks (shoulder) surrendered six earned runs on six hits and one walk over 1.2 innings Thursday in his rehab debut with Triple-A Iowa. He struck out three.

The only positive takeaways are that Hendricks got up to 54 pitches and made it through the outing without suffering a setback. He has room to improve from a results standpoint heading into his second rehab start next week. Almost fully recovered from a capsule tear in his right shoulder, the 33-year-old is expected to join the Cubs around the middle of May.
