Snell (4-6) earned the win Thursday, allowing three hits over six scoreless innings against the Giants. He struck out 11 without walking a batter.

Snell's red-hot June continued as the lefty pitched six innings of shutout ball for the second straight start and third time in four starts this month. The only real trouble he faced on the afternoon came in the fifth inning, when he allowed back-to-back singles with two outs. However, he got himself out of the jam by striking out Bryce Johnson and then proceeded to strike out the side in the sixth to finish with double-digit strikeouts for the third consecutive game. Snell holds a ridiculous 0.50 ERA over his last six starts to go along with a 56:13 K:BB in 36 innings.

Lauer was placed on the inactive list for Triple-A Nashville as he works through an undisclosed health issue, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

He last pitched for Nashville on June 11 but gave up seven earned runs on 12 hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in his last two appearances, so Lauer may have been at less than 100 percent at that time. He should be considered out indefinitely.

Keller allowed one run on five hits and no walks while striking out five batters over seven innings in Thursday's no-decision against Miami.

Miami starter Braxton Garrett made more noise with 13 strikeouts, but Keller matched him on the scoreboard with just one earned run over seven frames. The Pittsburgh hurler allowed only extra-base hit (a double) and notched his 10th quality start of the campaign, tied for ninth-most in the league. While Keller has had some bumps of late -- he came into Thursday with a 6.14 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across his past five starts -- he's still putting up a career-best campaign overall. Through 16 starts, he's already notched a career-best eight wins while posting a 3.45 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 113:26 K:BB over 99 innings.

Garrett allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and no walks while striking out 13 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Garrett hit the ground running in the contest, striking out five of the first six batters he faced. The southpaw ended with a career-high 13 strikeouts, notching his first double-digit punchout performance of the season. Garrett has been one of the best pitchers in the league for over a month, posting a 2.00 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 56:8 K:BB in his past 45 innings across eight starts. While his ERA on the campaign is just decent at 3.64, it's largely inflated by a 4.1-inning, 11-run shelling against Atlanta on May 3. Take away that performance, and Garrett's season ERA sits at a much more tantalizing 2.49.

The Mets optioned Megill to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

After surrendering five runs (four earned) on four hits and four walks over just 2.1 frames Wednesday against Houston, Megill will head to Triple-A in order to get back on track. Megill was scheduled to pitch Tuesday against the Brewers, and there's been no word yet on who will replace him in the rotation.

Irvin (1-4) was charged with the loss Thursday against the Diamondbacks after he gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Irvin threw 61 of his 87 pitches for strikes and didn't allow any extra-base hits, but Arizona still scratched across single tallies in the first and fourth innings. The right-hander has a 4.71 ERA and 1.52 WHIP through nine starts this year, though he's been better in his past two outings with just two earned runs allowed.

Henry (4-1) earned the win Thursday in Washington after he gave up one run on seven hits and one walk over 6.2 innings. He struck out five.

The left-hander surrendered a solo homer to Lane Thomas during the third inning but otherwise kept the Nationals off the board to notch his fifth quality start of the year. Henry has taken advantage of favorable matchups against Cleveland and Washington in his past two starts with just three runs allowed across 13 frames, but he lines up for a tougher test next week versus Tampa Bay.

Nola didn't factor in the decision in Thursday's extra-inning loss to Atlanta after he gave up two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Nola produced just eight swinging strikes but was able to keep Atlanta off the board, which is his first scoreless outing in 16 starts this year. The 30-year-old entered Thursday's contest with a 5.34 ERA across his previous five starts. He tentatively projects to take the mound next week on the road versus the Cubs.

Elder took a no-decision in Thursday's extra-inning win over the Phillies after he allowed three hits and two walks across seven scoreless innings. He struck out six.

The young right-hander generated just 11 swinging strikes on 99 pitches but consistently worked from ahead in the count and held Philadelphia without an extra-base hit. Elder struggled in his first two starts of June with nine runs allowed, but he's now given up just one run on seven hits over his past two outings. The rookie has taken advantage of the injuries to Atlanta's starting rotation and has a 2.40 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 75:24 K:BB over 90 innings this year.

Rogers (biceps/shoulder) is still shut down from throwing, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

He logged two excellent rehab starts May 30 and June 4 on his way back from a left biceps strain before getting shut down with right shoulder discomfort. It is unclear when Rogers will be able to resume a throwing program, but it's concerning that something with his non-throwing shoulder has kept him from throwing for multiple weeks.
