Quintana (ribs) may need to make at least two more rehab starts before joining the Mets rotation, which would delay his return until after the All-Star break, Abbey Mastracco of The New York Daily News reports.

The veteran lefty threw 47 pitches (32 strikes) in a rehab start for High-A Brooklyn on Sunday and was hoping he'd be allowed to stretch out to about 70-75 pitches in his next rehab outing, putting him on track for activation from the injured list in the first week of July. The organization wants to be more deliberate with Quintana's ramp-up, however. "I'll look into it, but 70 seems a little ambitious," manager Buck Showalter said Monday. The plan for his return may hinge on David Peterson's performance Tuesday -- if he struggles, the Mets may be more willing to accelerate Quintana's schedule in order to insert him into the rotation prior to the break.

Williamson (1-1) took the loss Monday, allowing three runs on two hits and four walks over two innings in a 10-3 loss to Baltimore. He struck out two.

Williamson was replaced in the third inning after a long rain delay, marking the shortest outing of his career. Before Monday's contest, the rookie had less than ideal results through his first seven big-league starts, posting 5.40 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 27:13 K:BB across 36.2 innings, and his poor outing versus Baltimore certainly didn't help his cause. Nonetheless, Cincinnati is dealing with numerous injuries to its starting rotation -- including ace Hunter Greene (hip) -- so despite his struggles, Williamson's role is fairly secure moving forward.

Williams allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four batters over four innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Monday.

Williams served up a long ball to the first batter he faced, and things didn't get much better for him as a he failed to record any 1-2-3 innings. The right-hander needed 83 pitches to complete just four frames, and he was pulled after allowing two runs on three hits in his final inning of work. It was the shortest outing of the campaign for Williams aside from a 2.1-inning effort against the Mets on May 13 that was suspended due to inclement weather. For the most part, Williams has been a steady and dependable rotation staple for the last-place Nationals, though his 4.28 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 62:25 K:BB over 80 frames convey little fantasy value.

Corry (shoulder) is being assigned to Single-A San Jose to continue his rehab assignment, Jeff Young of Round The Foghorn reports.

Corry missed the majority of the 2022 campaign after undergoing surgery on his throwing shoulder, but he's since been cleared for live action and has fared well in the Arizona Complex League. The southpaw didn't allow a run while striking out 19 and walking six across 10.2 innings with the ACL Giants Orange.

Fried (forearm) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session Monday, Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Fried has responded well so far to mound work and could soon advance to facing live hitters. The 29-year-old left-hander is trending toward a mid-July return from the forearm strain that sent him to the injured list May 9. He had registered a sharp 2.08 ERA and 25:6 K:BB in 26 innings (five starts) for Atlanta prior to the IL stint.

Soroka is a candidate to take AJ Smith-Shawver's place in Atlanta's rotation this week at home against the Twins, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Soroka last pitched June 22, striking out nine over seven innings of one-hit ball for Triple-A Gwinnett, so he would line up to start Wednesday at home against the Twins. He has a 1.42 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 18 strikeouts over 19 innings across his three most recent starts at Triple-A.

Cobb (oblique) is expected to return from the injured list during this week's road trip, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

He struck out nine and walked none over 3.2 innings in a rehab start Saturday for Single-A San Jose. Cobb was able to build up to 66 pitches while touching 96 mph with his fastball in that rehab outing, so it makes sense that he would be able return to the rotation this week, likely either Friday in New York or Thursday in Toronto.

Colorado optioned Davis to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

Davis was lit up for nine earned runs over three innings of relief in Saturday's 25-1 loss to the Angels. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 10.61 ERA in 18.2 innings of work this season in the majors.

Miley (side) is lined up to start Wednesday versus the Mets, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Miley made an early exit from his last turn in the Brewers' rotation due to cramping in his right side, but it was never a serious concern. The veteran southpaw has tossed 11 scoreless innings since returning June 17 from a four-week absence to heal a left lat strain and boasts a 2.91 ERA through 52.2 total frames (10 starts) this year.

Houser will return to the Brewers' starting rotation Thursday against the Mets, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Houser had been working out of the bullpen over the last couple of weeks, but the Brewers don't have any days off leading into the All-Star break and will give him another shot in a starting role. The 30-year-old right-hander has pitched to a 4.02 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 25:13 K:BB in 40.1 innings (seven starts, two relief appearances) this season.
