The Rockies reinstated Anderson (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list prior to his start Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Anderson will rejoin the Colorado rotation after he had resided on the IL for the past five weeks due to shoulder inflammation. The 35-year-old righty will be returning to the 28-man active roster after he completed two minor-league rehab starts, most recently tossing three shutout innings and 64 pitches this past Tuesday for Triple-A Albuquerque. Though not fully stretched out, Anderson could be able to reach the five innings he would need to qualify for a win Sunday if he can be efficient with his pitch count.

Grove (lat) has been throwing at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona and could be activated to join the big-league bullpen next weekend, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Grove has been on the shelf with right lat tightness since Aug. 5 but has recently been able to resume throwing. The right-hander may go on a minor-league rehab assignment with Los Angeles' Triple-A club in Oklahoma City prior to making his return to the majors, with the Dodgers' series in Washington that begins Sept. 8 looking like the target for his activation. Grove has started in 12 of his 15 appearances with the big-league club this season but will be a part of the team's bullpen upon his return, per Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register.

Rea came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Phillies, giving up two runs on three hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

The right-hander had a little trouble keeping the ball in the park, serving up solo shots to Kyle Schwarber in the first inning and J.T. Realmuto in the second, but Rea was otherwise sharp in his return to the big-league rotation. The 30-year-old got the hook after only 66 pitches (46 strikes), however, denying him his sixth win of the season. Rea figures to get at least one more turn while Adrian Houser (elbow) is sidelined, and if he pitches well again next weekend on the road against the Yankees, he might be able to retain a spot in the rotation for the stretch run.

Nola (12-9) took the loss Saturday, coughing up seven runs on eight hits and three walks over 4.2 innings as the Phillies fell 7-5 to the Brewers. He struck out five.

Five of the eight hits off Nola went for extra bases, including a two-run blast by Carlos Santana in the fifth inning that helped chase the right-hander from the game. Nola saw his three-game win streak snapped, while the seven runs were the most he's allowed since he got tagged for eight by Arizona just over a year ago. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, likely to come at home next weekend against the Marlins.

Brown (oblique) will be activated from Triple-A Iowa's 7-day injured list and will pitch Sunday versus Toledo, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

The 23-year-old hasn't seen game action since late July, when he suffered an oblique injury. Brown has a 4.72 ERA in 14 starts for Iowa this season, but he gave up just three runs with a 16:6 K:BB in his three starts prior to landing on the injured list.

Stroman (ribs) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Monday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Stroman is at the Cubs spring training facility in Arizona and will return to the mound Monday for the first time since being diagnosed with the rib fracture in mid-August. The right-hander originally landed on the shelf Aug. 2 with hip inflammation before the rib issue was eventually revealed. Stroman was shut down from throwing for a couple weeks before he resumed playing catch Wednesday, so he'll likely require a few bullpen sessions before being cleared to face live batters.

Peterson did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits over four innings against the Mariners. He struck out four and did not issue any walks.

Peterson surrendered a solo homer in the first inning and two more runs in the third. He was removed with no outs in the fifth and a runner on base who would come around to score, giving Seattle a 4-3 lead and putting the southpaw on track for a loss until New York staged a late comeback. In six starts since rejoining the Mets' rotation Aug. 4, Peterson has posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and pedestrian 27:16 K:BB across 26 innings. He tentatively lines up for a road matchup with Minnesota next weekend.

Abbott did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings in a 2-1 victory over the Cubs. He struck out five.

The 24-year-old southpaw held the Cubs scoreless through 6.1 innings before Jeimer Candelario launched a solo shot, chasing Abbott from the game with a 1-0 deficit. Cincinnati scored two to secure a walk-off win and get Abbott off the hook for what would have been an unfortunate loss. This was his first quality start since he notched three in a row coming out of the All-Star break. During his six starts in the interim, Abbott posted a 6.67 ERA and 1.81 WHIP across 27 innings. He currently lines up for a home matchup versus the Cardinals at the end of next week.

Cecconi (0-1) took the loss against Baltimore on Saturday, allowing six runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out four batters over 3.1 innings.

Cecconi got through three frames without allowing a run but imploded in the fourth. Baltimore racked up seven straight one-out hits against the right-hander in the inning, including a pair of doubles and a Cedric Mullins three-run homer. Cecconi was tagged with six runs in the frame before he was pulled, equaling the amount of runs he had allowed over 21 major-league innings coming into the contest. His ERA jumped from 2.57 to 4.44 as a result, and this was also Cecconi's first defeat as a big leaguer. Assuming he sticks in the rotation, the rookie's next turn is tentatively lined up to come in Chicago against the Cubs next week.

Rom allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out one batter over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Rom began the contest well, holding the Pirates scoreless through three frames. However, he gave up a run on a walk and a triple in the fourth, then saw the wheels fall off in the fifth when four of the six batters he faced reached base. Rom was lifted before he could complete five innings after Andrew McCutchen knotted the score 3-3 with a two-out RBI single. Rom at least avoided taking his third straight loss since being called up to the majors, but he's had a rough time with a 7.24 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 11:8 K:BB over 13.2 frames thus far.
